  This is a pretty old router, but documentation is still available from Microsoft:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902461 the 'Guide' is more complete, but the "Base Station Configuration Guide" will explain how to configure the router.

  I guess what you mean by a "password" is the password for the wireless encryption (there is also a password that controls access to the router configuration utility). The following are the basic steps to configure wireless encryption (see the documentation for more details and screenshots):

  1. utility access to the router configuration, preferably with a computer connected to the router with an Ethernet cable (if you change your wireless security, the parameters using a computer connected to the router by wireless, the connection will be abandoned as soon as you click APPLY).  Open a web browser and type 192.168.2.1 in the browser address box.  If you have not changed the logon password, enter 'admin' (without the quotes, all lowercase).

  2. click on the "Security" link on the home page of the configuration tool, then "Wireless Security".

  3. Select the "niveau_chiffrement" in the combo box to "256-bit WPA - PSK (louder)" - unless all of your wireless devices are so old they don't support WEP (unusual for a wifi device years less than 5 or 6).

  4. in the box, type a password (between 8 and 63 characters), and then click 'apply '. at this point, you will be disconnected from the router (and the Internet) If you did the above changes using a computer connected to the router WiFi.   Write the password in a place where you don't forget.

  5. close router configuration utility.

  To set up your wireless computers:

  6. open network connections (start > run > ncpa.cpl > OK)

  7. right click on your wireless adapter icon and select Properties.

  8. click on the wireless networks tab

  9. make sure the box at the top next to "use Windows to configure my wireless."

  10. in the list of "Preferred networks", select the entry to your router (your network name), click on 'delete '.  [This deletes the entry from your wireless network WITHOUT a password, so that you will be able to add an entry for a network with the same name WITH a password.]

  11. click on the view wireless networks"" button.

  12. the name of your network should appear in the list of wireless networks.  Select it and click "connect". When you are prompted for the password, enter the WPA password set in the router configuration.

  13. open a web browser and confirm that you can access the Internet.

  I'm upgrading to Eudora 7.1.0.9 for Mozilla Thunderbird 38 Pro. Found that I have to install FIRST 31.7 TBird, in order to import "all" my old Eudora Pro boxes mailbox. Installed to 31.7 TBird, attempted to import boxes mailbox. Import worked... for a while, then everything just stopped. Count the imported mailboxes, only 64 600 have been migrated. How can I move the 536 other mailboxes? I need all of them! I tried to re - import, but import only caught about 20 before crashing on the desktop. AND the 20 mailboxes, he caught were the same as the top 20 of the 64 mailboxes that had already been imported. I tried to delete these boxes to the 64 letters from the former location of Eudora Pro, then tried to import again, but only caught importing the "In.mbx' (which had been imported in the first importation).   HOLY GETOUTTATOWN! IT WORKED! Apparently, I was the incorrect option 'import '. I finally just selected < ImportExportTools > < import an mbx > and was given several options, so I chose < select a directory where the research of the mbox file to import > and just picked my EudoraConverted directory. Thunderbird should not think for about 40 seconds, and ALL the boxes of letters popped up. It took maybe another 30 seconds for all messages to fill all of the mailboxes. FWIW, the conversion was more than 120,000 messages in mailboxes on the 497. And they seem to ALL have presented, although I still test at random. THANKS for all your help. Now for TBird 1.5 upgrade to the current version! Thank you, once again! Problem solved!

  Have you noticed any other oddities on Yahoo mail, such as cans of high with two rows of two characters? This can occur when the site requires a downloadable font for its icons and you block that by using these settings:

  (1) in the dialog box fonts Advanced, unchecking the checkbox which allows the site to use its own choice of fonts. To check that:

  "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > content > button "Advanced".

  Here you must "allow pages to choose their own fonts.

  (2) on the deactivation of fonts downloaded in: config. It's less likely, or you remember probably not, but here's how to check on it.

  • In a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.
  • In the search box at the top of the list, type or paste the gfx and make a pause so that the list is filtered
  • If gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled preference is bold and user, set false, double-click it to return it true.
