my c drive has next to no space left in memory and I can't defragment, because the amount of free space is less than 15%. He'll start deframent then say that he may not continue for any reason any. Ive tried to delete the unwanted/unnessissary prgrams, but low disk space jump towards the high guard appearing.

What can I do?

Hello

Run DiskCleanup - start - all programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Cleanup

You may want to transfer some data, images or documents on removable media like USB keys,
External USB (my choice) or even CD/DVD readers (make multiple copies if the use of these).

-----------------------------------------------------

Info:

System restore usually holds 15% of disk space and updates that are necessary for running computer
consume even more. Backup - Options of recovery and even MS updates and those of HP, Dell
or similar manufacturers use the space if your charging system. There are also overhead for the readers are not
format to their maximum capacity.

Also run Disk Cleanup:

I hope this helps.

  • My NTUSER.dat file is 7 860 Ko and I don't have enough space in my C drive, I can remove it?

I have windows XP.  My hard drive is partitioned into C & D drives.  Most of my programs is on drive C and have therefore, swallowed up all the space.  I moved more data on the D drive as possible.  I was wondering what I can remove the ntuser.dat file to free up space?

No, you do not want to delete the file.

See for a description that is easy to understand the file and its purpose - http://www.ehow.com/about_6697490_ntuser-dat-file_.html

I presume that you have run the Disk Cleanup tool... did you also remove all but the last system restore point (see related article)?

  • I started the download of el capitan and did not have enough space for the upgrade - I released space, but now the upgrade is blocked for download

I'm on 10.10.5 and try to upgrade to el capitan via the App Store.  I don't have enough space at the beginning and upgrade wouldn't start - I got error message says not enough disk space.  Once I released space, download hangs and will not end.  I have restarted the download several times and have rebooted as well.

    Hello

Take a look in your Applications folder to install Mac OS X El Capitan.app. If you find move him to the trash, then empty/remove it. Another thing you could try is to go to Launchpad and look an article with the 'X' Mac OS X logo on it,

Click and hold on it until it wiggles, and then click the little 'x' and then delete.

Restart the Mac, relaunch the App Store and see if you can download now El Capitan.

Another thing you can do, when the download is complete and what is important before you begin the installation process, do a copy to install Mac OS X El Capitan.app and keep them safe, to an external drive or USB key, the original in the Application folder item is deleted once the installation is complete. It is snack and practice have this spare copy so that you can install on other Macs if you want you will need to re - install the system should anything go wrong in the future.

And always, always make a backup before making major changes to your system.

    Thank you very much

Even if you install a program on a non-system drive (for example, d :)), there's always space on the Windows system drive.

Make sure that all of the Temp directories are empty:

    • Run Disk Cleanup on all readers for all users
    • Go to control panel > system > advanced system settings > environment variables and check locations of TEMP and TMP, both for users (by default % UserProfile%\AppData\\Local\Temp) and Windows (by default C:\Windows\Temp) and make sure that all these directories are empty (AppData is hidden, so you don't have to "Show the hidden files and folders" in Folder Options > tools > view tab).  If one or two files cannot be deleted, it's OK

Installers must often double space 'necessary' during installation.  The dialog box shows approximately 1.8 GB "required" on C: but only about 3.2 GB of available.  If you can not remove more than C:, try to temporarily move 2 or 3 GB on D: while doing the installation.

  • CS5 says that I don't have enough memory to deal with the appearance of an object

I have a mac, and I get a pop up box that says: I don't have enough RAM to complete the operation. I tried to uninstall and delete things that I don't use anymore from the hard drive to create a space. It mainly occurs when I try to use the 3D effects. Is there something else I should try or other places I should be clean to create space? I don't really know anything about memory, so I'm kind of clueless when it comes to this.

    a a:

You have found the ability to RAM and hard drive mixed upward. You have probably not remove anything or make room on your hard disk (if it's a good idea to let a few GB of hard disk space and keep things tidy).

See here for the true definition of RAM:

    http://SearchMobileComputing.TechTarget.com/definition/RAM

During this time, see if the lowering of the value of your Document Raster Effects setting (under the menu effects) and we do know if this helps.

Otherwise, the objects that you want to apply the 3D effect on can be too complicated. Is there a way you can simplify?

    LMV,

I hope that you do not have too much of your own data personal on the computer yet, because if you used I would suggest that you reinstall the operating system to solve these problems.

Go to http://partsurfer.hp.com and enter your name/product number in the search field. The results that arise should include a restore CD that you can order to perform the reinstallation. Yet once, please make sure to save any personal data that you have put on the computer before attempting this.
