If you have difficulty the solution seems to be to run Fix it, at the top, select 'Settings' then 'valuation', then 'Recovery Commander' on the left on the lower top toolbar. Uncheck 'detect when an implementation program is launched... "and that should fix it.
  

  This can help you if you can't find the right program to uninstall with normal methods. I can't guarantee that I have not tried this suggestion.

  Thanks for asking! It seems that you use some custom settings for history and an option enabled lock you in a permanent private browsing mode. Here's what to do:
  Go to Menu > settings > privacy there, uncheck the box that says always "use Private Browsing Mode. See the screenshot if you can't find it.

  This will only work if the windows.old and 2 hidden folders ($Windows. ~ WS & Windows $. ~ BT) are still present.  If you do that you will need to re - install.
