I don't want VZ Navigator blackBerry smart phones

I just bought the new blackberry tour, and when I was testing out I think I downloaded the application "VZ Navigator" by accident. I don't want to pay for the monthly service. How can ensure me that I don't get charged? Thank you

Hello!

You must remove the application... Follow these instructions:

  • KB10392 How to remove a BlackBerry smartphone app

And then also contact the Association because they are in control of your service contract with them.

If this does not work, then please come back on these forums (http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/) and create an account so that we can provide direct assistance.

See you soon!

  • Send a Blackberry smart phone info to a database on a server using Java?

    Hello

I'm new to the Blackberry development... but I now have a project to do.

I want to retrieve the latitude and longitude of Blackberry GPS and send them to a database on a server every 30 minutes.  Also, I want to be able to do without the user doing anything on his Blackberry (I mean, I don't want him to click somewhere every now and them).

I was able to get the latitude and longitude (double) using Java.

I don't know how to get out them of the BlackBerry.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

BTW, I do my testing on a 8310 Rogers using JDE 4.2.1 Simulator.

    Hello

The BlackBerry smart phone needs a 'gateway' to connect to the internet. This white paper is extremely useful to explain all your choices of selection of the good gateway:

Data on BlackBerry 4 Wireless Transport Management - Part 1

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe?func=LL&objid=832210&objAction=browse&s...

Once you have selected the gateway, then you can go ahead and use the Connector.open (url) command to create a HTTP connection to the application server (Tomcat, JBoss, .NET, etc.) on the internet. The application server could then use ODBC/JDBC to store data in the database.

  • How can I connect my BlackBerry smart phone to internet via bluetooth on my laptop connection?

I have connected my BlackBerry smart phone to my laptop via a Bluetooth successfully, but when I tried to connect to the internet, here's a message appears: your device cannot automatically connect to the internet, you want to enter user name and number manually?

So, how can I connect my BlackBerry smart phone to the internet via a bluetooth connection?
    Thank you
    Michael

    Hi Michael,

You must create a connection switched to solve the problem:

    Please follow the steps:

    a. click on the blue Windows logo at the bottom of the screen, then click on 'control panel '.

    b. double-click on "Network and sharing Center." If you don't see this icon, click on "Classic view" in Windows Vista. In Windows 7, click on the "view by:" drop-down menu and select 'small icons '.

    c. click on "Set up a connection or network" on the left side of the window. Select "Set up a dial-up connection" and then click "next".

    d. type the phone number of your Internet Service provider in the box "Dial-up phone number." Type the number exactly as you need to dial it in your area - include the area code if required by your telephone company.

Enter your user name and password. The ISP gives you this information when you create your account. Check the box "Remember this password" to avoid having to enter the password each time you use the connection.

    f. type a name in the box 'Connection name' which will help you to remember which connection it is.

    g. check the box "Allow other people to use this connection" to make the connection available to all users on your computer.

    h. click the 'Connect' button to connect to the Internet service provider and save the connection. You can connect to it in the future by clicking on the logo Windows at the bottom of the screen, then "Connect To."

    For more ihelp:

Contact the wireless service provider for more information on how to connect to the internet using mobile phone on PC.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi chardeepa

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

If you are unable to remember the username or the e-mail and the password that you set on your device during the initial installation, and then as a last option, you must create a new BlackBerry ID. This section of the knowledge base for instructions, see:

  • Why you don't support Toyota Entune app blackBerry smart phones?

I have a blackberry 9810, labor and this is my first blackberry. Personally, I don't like the fact that there is hardly any apps that I can't that anyone with an Android phone or Iphone can receive.

This phone is working and all of us, the reps are pushing for Android / Iphones that I think we can get in August. We also have the option for the Z10 but I don't think I will get it due to lack of capacity/apps like that.

Just curious to know if we will be able to get the application Entune or if there is a workaround?

    Thank you!

The only workaround I have is actually matching the Z10 for 2013 Toyota and able to use it for phone calls only.  None of the Navigation features, nothing on the Internet.  I disabled the connection of music because it is this that locked my Z10.  It continues to send a pop-up read what he cannot find music files.  It is a secure working phone.  I do not use it for music files.  So, I took a .wav file of a voicemail message where all I have to say is Yes.  Should not be an empty message.  Then, I sent the e-mail to the Z10.  Then, I open the .wav file.  Then I saved the file .wav on the Z10.  Now, finally, I can connect the Z10 for Toyota to 2013.  So, I can use the phone while driving.  That's all I have, if that's what you mean by a work-around, rajc5b?

I have also is out my 9870 BlackBerry "BOLD" and combined with the Toyota and can also make and receive calls on the wheel.

I called Toyota who wrote the application entune.  They say they will work in the future on the app for Z10.  Really sad actually, rajc5b.

I bought the new apple product.  He took over.

I bought the Android and I will give apps.  I had an HTC.  Who took immediately.

Maybe if I bought the Samsung Galaxy.

I bought the BlackBerry Z10.  I'm now.  Best BlackBerry phone, that I had and I got 10 BlackBerry phones back at the beginning and before that had a lot of other phones.

I just went to BlackBerry World, and he's not even will take you to a screen that does not work on Z10 entune, rajc5b.  Of course what they should do.  Rather a Google search I came to this:

    https://appworld.BlackBerry.com/WebStore/content/53776/?platform=QNX&countrycode=us&lang=en_US&UserA...

Who is supposed to be entune.  But, everything is now hidden on top, so you don't even see the ranking of the poor review.

    Sad, again.

I have download when I bought the Z10 several top rated free apps.  I saw not less 5 updates for each.  Every two days, they sent me notice that a new version is out of each.  It's really sad.  I'm not wasting my time to download new app s/w releases every 5 minutes.

With the help of people on this forum to donate their time, I have a working phone.

Only, none of the characteristics of entune.

    Except for the phone works.

Well, any.  Don't forget the .wav file tell me Yes, I saved on the Z10?

I learn that in the car, every 3 minutes.  Yes.

    Yes.

    Yes.

Before that, I had a saying not found music files.

    How absolutely bloody stupid.

I need a pop up to tell me that?

This pop-up pop - up every 5 seconds.  Can never get to do anything on the Z10 BlackBerry because of this.  Totally he locks up.

Now I can use it but listen Yes now every 3 minutes.

    So, no.

  • I don't understand what's going on blackBerry smart phones

I sold my curve2 and got a new torch1, I don't understand what is happening. I see the contacts of the person using the curve2 now, and he changed my dp and display name. I tried to create a new BBID but its still the same.

We should always do a security wipe in front of the property transfer. I guess the other person uses BBM 7 or higher where everything is controlled by our BlackBerry ID and the current number is possible only if it is to have the same BlackBerry ID as your, you know this person?

  • I hate my Blackberry blackBerry smart phones

    1. the Manager stinks. This is the worst interface I've ever used.

    2. whenever I get back up I get the warning "some data was not backed up" but no solution.

    - But for some reason any backup takes 15 minutes and locked the phone during the process. Do we REALLY have that long to only part of the job, RIM?

    3. the Manager will not update the application. Once again the OPTION NOT to diagnose the problem or provide a workaround solution.

    4. same problem update using the phone browsewr: big FAIL every time.

5 in 1 to 5, the app store is not worth looking at again.

    6. nil to the RIM worries enough about the customer service same-tryu and respoond on Twitter or Facebook messages on BB how shit is.

Evryone else at my company (Fortune 1000) is passage of BB to iPhone because with the in-kind company now available, we should no longer be tehered to this material.

Wolf, I have help thousands of people.

Then, you enter in someone's House and start to complain about the food. In response, what do you expect?

But really, read your post... you ask for help? Or simply to post a complaint about the product?

I thought it was just one complaint. I don't see the first question.

Let's get beyond for all this because it seems that you have questions now.

    3. update. There is an 'available' update, but it fails to load ("an error started to update your software. Please try again. »). I have now v4.6.0.304.

Probably because of the failure of save correctly, related to the above question.

Do a manual upgrade of the apparatus, software operation. Really, I don't trust that the automated desktop software updates me either and prefer to be sure I know what is happening with my camera. See my instructions below.

There is an OS version 4.6.0.307 for the 9000 "BOLD", and there is a v5.0.0.1067 of available OS.

I don't know that I would recommend OS 5 for your device unless you are sure that you have a lot of available memory, use of media and a few additional applications. The 9000 has limited memory of the device, and OS5 will take more space than OS 4.6. Your decision.

    MJBWolf wrote:

    4. I didn't say "updating the browser"

My mistake, I obviously misread what you stated... and hard to not do it with the little details. In any case... do not update the OS via the browser, it is a big mistake and if the device does not correctly backup...'re you lost.

    MJBWolf wrote:

    6. again, you read too much into that. Many companies will respond when a Tweet that says "Hey my BB Won ' t back up and the error message says that...". "is displayed. Same Comcast and ATT use Twitter. I will admit to Twitter "I hate my BB now."

But I don't (you don't) know all this, everything I read what you posted in the first post above. I don't know your story of what you tweeted.  So I answered that you allowed me to know.

For clarity, I tried again to download Appworld. First of all, the option of office is not available in any browser but IE. (Sweet!) But, perhaps because I deleted the cache of the browser and finally properly saved my camera, the link I send myself worked. Appworld is responsible. Leaving just #2 above as a request or a question that maybe you or another volunteer friendly can answer.

Next time, using your BlackBerry to access this URL browser:

You will find links to download AppWorld direct live on your BlackBerry.

Alternatively, search for your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

Make a backup of your device in the first place, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Media Sync continues to display 'Please connect a Blackberry smart phone' when the Blackberry Storm is connected to the PC

About a 2 months ago when I would like to connect my (the first storm) blackberry storm to my computer via the USB cable supplied with the phone, I was able to transfer music from my computer (itunes) to the blackberry via Blackberry Media Sync with no problems (open Blackberry Media Sync, connect blackberry to the computer via the USB port and screen Media Sync would change so that I could sync to the blackberry storm music). I didn't even have to install Blackberry Media Sync in December 2009

But now after I connect my Blackberry Storm to my computer, the screen of Blackberry Media Sync does not change and continues to display "please connect a Blackberry smartphone. I tried these tips I found online:

1.) several reboots my computer (windows vista)

2.) update/reinstall Blackberry Media Sync, then by restarting my computer

3.) reconnection from blackberry to the computer, then open Media Sync

4.) Open Media Sync first and then connect the blackberry to the computer.

5.) installation BlackBerry USB and Modem drivers (even if I can't find the USB driver for it under the Universal Serial Bus Controller when I check in the Device Manager when you go to control panel – system and Maintenance – Manager of devices, but I found a v2 COM4 and COM5 RIM virtual serial Port when you select "devices by connection" under display in Device Manager) or are RIM Serial Port virtual v2 COM4 and COM5 drivers I'm looking for?

6.) go to Options (on blackberry) - memory and make sure Media Card Support, Media Transfer Protocol (MTO) and Mass Storage Mode Support are resolved on 'On', the encryption Mode is set to 'None' and mass storage Mode Auto activate when connected, it the value "Prompt" although I tried to 'Yes' as well. It says I have 785 MB of memory space of the unit out of 879 MB total memory of the device and 7.1 GB of free space on a total of 7.3 GB of Media Card Media Card.

None of the above tips and troubleshooting tips worked. I also checked the Blackberry technical solution center but I've not found anything there that has contributed to the other. I found discussions forums online, including issues of people with 'blackberry media sync cannot connect to the device' pop up, but I have not had this pop-up. The Media Sync screen remains just the same as if I never connected the blackberry storm to my computer in the first place even if my blackberry storm recharges via the computer.

Is there something that I miss or have not yet done? What should I do?

Too bad. I went to a Verizon store and they me remove the battery and turn the blackberry. Worked like a charm and I can now use Media Sync.

Also told me that I need to update the software of the phone blackberry using Blackberry Desktop software (I have version 4 and need to update to 5) and make sure to choose to back up files when you are prompted during the update or you will lose all files, the media and info saved on blackberry.

Wondering if someone could explain to me how I avoid to use GPRS to connect to internet? I was told that if I use the Blackberry browser I am charged extra in addition to what pay my bolt and having never used it before so I'm not sure. Thank you

Not sure I've heard this one. I use Opera instead of the BBB, and I don't get charged extra. I call your carrier and make sure you have the right internet plan. You "cannot" really avoid the GPRS network unless you upgrade your service through your carrier. EDGE is usually the stuff internet/Email...

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can load you a BlackBerry smart phone via a USB cable connected to a laptop.

I was invited this by a user. I think that a laptop USB charging won't work because the laptop will not be able to provide a sufficient charge to the BB device (clear the message of the screen when you try). Is there a way you can do this or does it just cannot be done. I'm fairly certain that this is the case, but as I don't know 100%, I would be grateful if someone could clarify.

    Thank you very much.

  • How can I remove this folder of Messages Blackberry blackBerry smart phones?

    Hello

I have my email set up on my device and, of course, the record of sms that comes on the blackberry. They are enough for me.

I want to delete the Messages file that merges the sms and e-mail, because I'm tired of having to go in there just to click on messages to make them "read" so the notification goes away. All I need is my e-mail folder and I am happy with the sms separated folder.

Is it possible to remove this merged folder directly from my camera? Advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

    Yes, certainly.

Open your Messages folder > options > integration of messages and you can set your SMS appears in the messages folder or not.
