  You have a virus, here's what you need to do. Download and install malwarebytes of: http://malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free, be sure to update before running a full scan. If you cannot run the program at all, you will need to download a few programs of this site: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix it, you should get back on track.

  Also, you may have a browser redirection problem. Go to your IE tools--> internet options--> Connections tab, then click lan setting and make sure that the only box to checked in it is automatically detect settings.

  I was able to solve it.

  In the registry, the .pdf is looking at Acrobat.Document.15

  

  Looked at the reg path and saw that the "Print" was pointing to Acrobat acrord32.exe rather

  Changed to point to the drive path.

  

  This fixed the problem.

Now, I'm trying to create a USB bootable, boot from that, then restore the SSD of time machine, the only problem is that El Cap will not download to create the USB key. I select Download in the App Store, it gives a pop up saying "already, you have the current version, go to updates to update. You want to continue with the download of the full installer? "(paraphrase). I select continue download the grey wheel and nothing happens, no progress bar, the download button is gray, let it sit for a whole day and I tried on my computer at home as well (iMac 27 "2015) with the same result.
