I was cleaning up space on my computer when I came across werid files such as: {0FCCED4B-105C-4F0D-8A2B-09D8B55071BC} in my local folder. and in other places. Can I remove them? They are caused by viruses, or registry problems? Help, please.
Here are all my features:
MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit SP1
APU AMD E-450 with graphics card Radeon HD, 3 GB of RAM AMD Radeon HD 6320 graphics card
If anyone can help that would be great!

If they are empty and in Local and LocalLow appdata you can remove them,

They are rubbish left behind, Live services

  • Cannot find the product key for Windows 7 Home Premium

I don't have the product key of Windows 7 Home Premium? Where can I find it?

    Original title: Charles 111

    Hello

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

I would like to ask you:

    • Did you buy Windows 7, or was it pre-installed on your PC?

If you bought a copy of Windows 7, you must have the drive and the product key is on the cover of the disc or the disc itself.

If Windows was preinstalled on your PC, there could be a sticker anywhere on the system with a product key to this topic.

Note: Not all PC makers provide the key on a sticker on the machine body. You may need to contact them for the same thing.

  • Windows Vista Home Premium cannot find Xbox 360 as extender

This may be long but im giving information as possible.

I'm good with the computer. My Vista Home Premium computer cannot find my xbox 360 as an Extender. When I use the WIndows media player 11 and share, he sees my xbox very well. Zune software, same thing. My xbox 360 is here no problem on my network in "My Network Places".

In Media Center, once I typed the 8 digit number it is said that he can not find the Extender. I did the following:

    Reset my router
    Reformat my computer
    Reset my xbox 360
Double checked I got the right 8-digit number in media center
    Disabled windows firewall
Went to the tab exceptions and compatible: WIndows Media Center, Media Center Extender, eshell.exe, discovery network
went to the management of the computer and turned on UPnP device host (changed the startup type to automatic and restarted my computer)
Permit "filter multicast" in my router settings
UPnp enabled in my router settings
Upgrade Vista (with SP1 as well)
Re-installed the drivers for my wireless card
Connected to the Xbox 360 WIRED to my router

Heres the funny thing, I have a Sony laptop vaio with Windows Media Center Edition 2005 on the same network that sees my xbox all the time. Its actually connected through a microsoft extension program (XboxMCE05Lite - enu.exe) basically it works fine.

One funny thing that may help with my vista (Home premium) Windows Remote Assistant machine fails or the other.

Any ideas? If this can help, too, this computer is built on the ground.  Sense, this isn't a HP, Dell, Sony, etc.

    Network equipment:
    Router Linksys WRT54G
Map of Netgear WG311v3 54 Mbps Wireless

works fine with my other laptop. So I guess that the problem must be my wireless card. I guess that's a PCI card it would have nothing to do with the problem. I'm going tomorrow to buy a NIC. USB Im not in a race simply because my internet works very well without getting a new network card. I am just puzzled and would like to get this to work because I hate running through computer problems and in abeyance. I'll get one tomorrow and let you know the guy.

  • Interested in buying Halo 2 for PC - have Windows 7 (home Premium x 64) - can't find compatibility information.

I am interested to buy Halo 2 (link here: http://goo.gl/nobE) for the PC.

I see that all versions of PC I could find say they are specifically for Vista.

I have Windows 7... in general, that will work with Vista drivers and programs... However, I want to be sure, as the title says specifically "for vista".

Will be Halo 2 work (link above) for Windows 7 on the PC?

    Thank you.

  • Where to find product key Windows Vista Home premium?

Hi, I installed on my leptop vista edition windows Home premium 64-bit and I can not find the product key, where can I get a new product key or to what I need to do? Thank you

Buy Windows 7 Upgrade License instead and use that to upgrade your computer to Windows 7 64 bit.

No need to buy a license for Vista.

  • Where can I find the download of Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1?

I did a full restore in Win Vista Home Premium from recovery disks.  When you set the computer, I enabled Windows Update before remembered me that I had to also download Vista Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2.  Windows Update had already downloaded and installed 100 updates before I remembered.

Now, I can't find a download site for Vista Service Pack 1 and 2 on the Windows site.  Every link I click on that is inactive.

Can someone tell me where to go for Vista SP1 and SP2 downloads now that Vista is no longer supported?

    Any other ideas?

Should I still SP1 and SP2?  This computer will serve as my husband for basic e-mail, IE8 and preparation of simple Word documents.  He'll have Norton 360 installed.

Thank you very much in advance for any suggestions or advice.  Rookie mistake - I knew that Vista is no longer supported, but I never imagined that I could not download as basic as the SP1 and SP2 to Windows.  I hope that I simply found the location of the 'magic' yet.

Please, please install all service packs.  Ignore all, messages of "DO NOT click DOWNLOAD if YOU ARE UPDATING a SINGLE computer" read you.  It works very well.

Also - please please install something other than Norton 360 AV.

  • Can I use a number of product key finder instead of the number on the sticker to reinstall windows vista Home premium?

The sticker on the bottom of the laptop is half faded way so I don't have the original full product key number, the one I have from a product keys finder is different of course it will still work when you perform a full system restore?

If your Vista is pre-installed when you purchased your computer, you have an OEM version. The only correct product key for your computer is attached to your computer.

The game of product key that you got through the software 'key finder' will NOT work for you.

Contact the manufacturer of your computer. Ask what follows...

    1. a set of recovery disks. The cost is minimal, and the money will be well spent. You can use the set to restore your computer to factory State.

    2. ask to talk to a technician. Ask technology to teach you how to access your recovery Partition and use it to make the recovery of the system. They installed the recovery partition, not Microsoft. They know exactly how to use it.

The advice above do not require using the product key.

  • I can't find windows media player in my program. I have windows vista Home premium.

Please help me find the player windows media on my pc because I can't find the program in the program list. I also tried to install the player, but I've heard that there is no download avilable. Then please notify. When I play certain media by selecting windows media player is not rosponding.

    Hello

Try the navigation at the given location and check if you are able to open Windows Media Player.

    c:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe

Try to set the file association for media files and check if that helps to recover Windows Media Player. Follow the links below for more information.
