I get a message "Remind_XP.exe" has encountered a problem and needs to close

I can't connect to my car because this problem will not let me get the Security screen powered by JAVA.  I've downloaded JAVA again.  This is a problem which occurred yesterday after my safety identified and deleted some riskware.

Hi Marlene,

Remind_xp seems to be a program related to your CD/DVD writer software, see http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/remind_xp/25430/.

You can disable the startup (delete if his debut in-> programs-> start menu) or click Start-> Run Type &--> msconfig-online slot start-up remove the tickmark for the file.

I hope this helps.

  • When compacting OE in WinXP SP3 I get a message that OE has encountered an error and needs to close

When compacting OE in WinXP SP3, I get a message that OE has encountered an error and needs to close that he made and lost messages in at least one of the message files. I can retrieve messages from the backup files, but I can do anything to correct the compaction process?

The simplest solution is a new identity.  File | Identities | Add the new identity. Create a new one and try it. If all goes well, you can import your messages and address book from the old identity and delete it.

To help prevent that this happens in the future...

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=903095

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:
    http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

    And backup often.

Im trying to use my lifecam on my xp computer, but it does nothing, but saying lifecam .exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. That's all he does whenever I open it help me!

    Hello

Thanks for joining us out on Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description, you get a message error "Lifecam.exe has encountered a problem and work stoppage.

    1. are you aware of changes to the computer before the show?

    2. What is the model number of the device?

    3. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    Method 1:

I suggest you perform the steps mentioned in the article.

From Lifecam software "Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"error message.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2027807

    Method 2:

Put the computer in a State of boot is a way to know which application is causing this problem.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

Step 1: Follow the steps in the link below to do the same thing:

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as shown here:

Step 2: To configure Windows to use a Normal startup state

After you have used the boot is a way to solve your problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    a. Click Start and then click Run.

    b. type msconfig and click OK. The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    c. click on the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    d. When you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.
