  Help, please.  I'm down here.  I get a perpetual 205 error when trying to install the creative cloud desktop application.

  I have reviewed these forums and have tried everything:

  • Turn off the firewall, anti-virus and anti-malware programs;
  • Clear cache;
  • Log on under a different name of Windows 7;
  • Download under another ID Adobe;
  • Three different browsers.
  • I even tried to use my phone as a mobile hotspot for a download to see if another internet connection would work.  No dice.

  Error, said it took too long and restart. I did three times and also have FIOS, so the connection speed should not be a problem.  Any ideas?

  My guess is that was a break in the internet service during the download.  I use a slower DSL connection and had problems downloading HP softwrare of the internet because of the size of the HP files (in general).  I would just try again a few times.  HP website, purely my guess, when downloads if it detects a problem, it stops the download (probably a safety precaution) as I have expereinced it several times but always a new attempt I finally get the files.  Again, I have DSL and on the slow end of DSL to whom, due to problems of connectivity in the County I live.

  Try it again a couple of times and see if it works very well.  I'll even throw this at you, my college years son used to go online late at night to play multiplayer games online with our DSL because he was liked late at night because of the use of the reduced customer.  So you can also try "" off-peak.

  When I try to install windows vista sp1 disks/recovery partition that I get the error recovery manager prompting me to choose either to see the details of the failure or restart: CTOERROR.flg as a Notepad on my desk. I did try 100 times but nothing helped. I can't restart after this recovery failure message because it shows the dialog box when restarting: windows security update is not properly installed or is not approved.   Download Service Pack 1 will not convert in a disc in Windows Vista Service Pack 1.

  A recovery disk will not be useful to perform an Inplace upgrade to.
  You will need the original Windows Installation disc.
  If the disc that came with the computer, then it would be a drive OEM (manufacturer). This disk can only be used for a reinstallation of Windows.

  I worked for HP.

  This work also (well) with the J6480 printer.  I was using a Linksys router Wireless 'G' which creates 4 WEP keys, allowing you to choose which use.  I sent #2 key and it would not accept.  The only way I could make it work was to disable wireless security, is not my idea of a good option.  After numerious emails and 1 appeal to support with no ideas that I decided to seek out here and finally managed to do accept the WEP key.  I ended up completely uninstall/reinstall to get everything to work 100%, but now it works like a charm.  For those of you with a similar problem, when using a router that generates more than 1 WEP key, try using (sending) key #1
