  Use please TDK or Verbatim DVD-R media and I think everything will work OK.

  I recommend you test different DVD media.
  Try DVD-R and from different manufacturers.

  From my own experience, not all CD and DVD is cared for and compatible.

  Initially, I had a boot disc error on my system when you restart it.  I tried a recovery after the recovery disc I created during the purchase of the computer.  I got a restore is not 0x45d error code.  I bought the new disc of recovery from Acer for $20 and got the same error.  I paid the $99.99 Acer support and now I'm getting Restore doesn't have a code error 0 x 3.  Now, the support team said I need a technician who has cost another $249. Is there another solution before I trash this computer?

  It seems to me that if the hard drive itself is defective. Error code 0 x 3 occurs when a device or drive is disconnected or damaged. A hard drive damaged, does not accept the files because the system cannot locate the reader, or a fault it prevents! Basically, it cannot find the path that is needed, probably because the hard drive failed!

  Replace the hard drive and reinstall Windows from the recovery discs all should be well.

  Click Install now
  Accept the license agreement
  When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

  Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

  The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

  (At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK
