Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.
- Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
- Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
- Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
- Windows:
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
- Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
- Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
- Windows:
- Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
- Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
- Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

When I click on connect to some sites, I get redirected to another site that is displayed on the desired site. It is easy to remove to get to the site that you want, but it is annoying. I tried SuperAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, Microsoft Safety Scanner, nothing helps. The first time I ran SuperAntiSpyware it found and eliminated 4 threats, but I've been redirect since then. It redirects not every time, but run randomly. Any suggestions?

I redirected when clicking on a link. Get a quick overview of what should be the page for less than a second then redirected to an error in Yahoo or similar. Redirect seems to happen sometimes, when there is a slight delay in the loading of the selected link. Thanks for any help!
Hello
I suspect your browser bars such as:
- SearchMe
- Slick saves
This is potentially unwanted programs (PUP) which are usually bundled with other software. Here are guides for Windows, but you may be able to remove by uninstalling their toolbars and possibly reset your Firefox profile:
- http://malwaretips.com/blogs/slick-savings-virus/
You can uninstall toolbars by entering Subject: addons in your address bar and click Extensions, or:
- Tools (or
) > Addons > Extensions
And remove them.
If the above does not remove the redirection, the reset Firefox feature can also correct many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default condition while saving your vital information.
Note: This will make you lose all the Extensions and preferences.
To reset Firefox, perform the following steps:- Click the menu button
click Help
and select troubleshooting information. Now, should open a new tab containing your troubleshooting information.
- At the top right of the page, you should see a button that says "Reset Firefox"
. Click on it.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is finished, it will display a window with the imported information. Click Finish.
- Firefox opens with all the default settings applied.
Information can be found in the article Firefox Refresh - reset the settings and Add-ons .

I have problems with a site, SparkPeople.com. Although I can not connect successfully, through any other browser, I am able to go to the homepage without any problem. With Mozilla, I can login successfully and access to any other tab but the start page. Whenever I click on it, the page flashes momentarily until I get redirected to the URL http://www.sparkpeople.com/assets/diet4/str2_update_f2.jpgand gives me a "Page not found-error 404," which once more gives me the opportunity to connect or to sign up, even if I am logged in. Empty the cache and browsing history is not reset everything that is bad. So I don't know what to try next. As I mentioned in my question, it is only a problem in Firefox. In IE or Chrome, I have no problem whatsoever. I have an operating system Windows 7, version 6.1.
Any help would be much appreciated. Other than this very curious problem, I'm very happy with Mozilla. If you look in the Control Panel, uninstall a program, "Start Page" may be associated "Mâle" (you can click on the column heading to sort by alphabetical order of the Publisher). When I try to download & install Lightroom CC why I keep get redirected to Lightroom 5 installer instead? And why Lightroom appears under "previous versions" in the creative cloud desktop application, but there is no sign of Lightroom CC under apps available? What is a regional thing? (I'm in Australia).
It has nothing to do with where you live. You are on a 32-bit system and LR CC is only available in 64-bit, so CC provides the previous version. It is that easy. You can read the system requirements and then act accordingly.

For two days, every time I was doing a search on google, I get a list of appropriate Web site options or possible but when I select one of them, it takes me to a website totally irrelevant. When I can use the button/arrow to the left and select the same Web site from the list, need me to correct Web site. This will not occur in Internet Explorer. for example today I searched powertools, selected www.dm- tools,co.uk and had Nettravel. I came to this site a few times too although I didn't choose it. When I googled sought "potatoes" and selected the "Council of the potato" he directed me to the Web of Lakeland site on their page of bag of potatoes.

Install, update and run these programs in this order. They are listed in order of efficiency.
(Not all programs to detect malware, you may need to run them all to solve your problem.)

Note: If your malware infection is bad enough and you're poorly led to URLS other than what is displayed, you may need to use another PC to download these programs and use a USB stick for transfer to the afflicted PC.Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware - http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Whenever I do a search and click on a website search results, I am confused on some other Web site, usually a few ad-site.
I then have to click the back button and click the link again and it usually takes me on the site that I wanted to. Is it a problem with my computer of viruses, or a problem with firefox or google?Download, install and update as much of the following as possible until your infections are cleaned.
- The free versions of these scanners will detect infections and clean your system; no need to buy
- Scanners different malware detect some malware that other scanners do not have.
- If you are unable to download malicious programs,
- change the name of the Installer before you save the download on your hard drive, and
- Once installed, go to the installation to the program folder and change the name of the executable file of the program (i.e. for Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, change mbam.exe to xyz - mb.exe), then update the program and run the scan.
- You may need to download on a non infected computer, change the name of the Setup program, copy setup from a CD or USB and transport to your system for installation.
- Some stubborn malware should be deleted in Windows Safe Mode with setting network '. Warning: download all the tools first, then disconnect your modem before entering Mode Windows safe, as your firewall and AV/AS probably does not load mode Windows safe. See:
