I have 10 windows, my child has windows 7. How can I get family safety to work?

The subject says most of it.  I have used parental controls to set up parental controls Web site, however, it is said that it applies only to the windows 10.  My child's computer to Windows 7.  I tried to connect from his machine to implement controls, and he also said that it applies only to windows 10.  What should I do to make this work?

Hi Philippe,.

Family safety is available on the operating system Windows 8, 8.1, and 10. Windows 7 has a Parental control feature that will allow you to access your child's computer activity.

To configure Parental controls in Windows 7, follow the steps below:

  1. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard.
  2. Type command and press ENTER.
  3. Choose the user accounts and family safety.
  4. Select the Parental control.
  5. Click the child's account (Standard user) you want to set up with Parental controls. If there is none, you can create a.

Note: Make sure to set up a password for the administrator account to prevent other users to change or disable the Parental control.

  6. Under child account, activate the Parental control.
  7. Under Windows settings, you can now put in place restrictions on the activities of your child's computer by implementing deadlines, control games rating, content, or title and allow and block specific programs.

However, if you want to control your child's online activities, you need to install Windows Live Family Safety which is part of Windows Live essential suite. To download, click on this link.

Let us know how it goes.
