I have a lot of dust here, if need be, where can I have my replaced portable fan

I just cleaned my laptop (very dusty) cooler, if I think it's too dusty for me to work on this laptop computer fan here... who do I go to fix it (Staples)?

Alison.

Opening your laptop to clean the fan and the thermal paste is not an easy task.

I thought you could do it yourself, but it looks it's best to take it to a service center.

Your manual here.

I would shop around your area first portable small on some computer repair places.

Hello is not an application - it is a facility built into OSX which allows networking with a minimum of installation.

    From Wikepedia:

"Hello is the implementation of Apple without configuration networking (Zeroconf), a set of technologies, which includes the discovery service, address assignmentand host name resolution." Hello looking devices such as printers, other computers and services that offer of these devices on a local network using Multicast Domain Name System (mDNS) service records.

The software is integrated with the operating system OS X and Apple's iOS . Hello can also be installed on computers running Microsoft Windows. Hello components can also be included inside other software such as iTunes and Safari. "

You have asked about it in the forum of Windows Hello - it is available for download for Windows, but it's not relevant for you that you have a Mac.

Not a windows experience rating bad, huh?

Such as already reported here, over, do a search for "Ghetto Mod.  There are two main positions for this of me, one for the xw6400 and another for the xw4600.  Your case best fits the xw4600 case, but there is more information about Noctua in the xw6400 post.

  • Files which are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions

I get this window popping up that reads, "files required for Windows to run correctly have been replaced by unrecognized versions.»  To maintain system stability, Windows must restore the original versions of these files.  Insert your Windows XP Professional CD2 now. "The problem is that I'm not running XP Professional.  I am running XP Media Edition (do not know what version - when I look at 'System' in the control panel it says version 2002, but the OS disc that came with my computer says version 2005 with update rollup 2).  In any case, I only have an installation disc, and when I insert it, the computer tells me it's the wrong disc.  What should I do?

    God help us all...

Is the CD you have an XP bootable installation CD authentic or some kind of restore CD provided with your system (they are not the same thing).  If it's a CD of Windows, this Service Pack is on the CD?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

What is your Service Pack installed?  If you are not sure, do the following:

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the results here.

There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and what appears to be personal information for you, simply delete the personal information of the pasted information.

When you see a message like this:

    Windows file protection
Files which are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions.  To maintain system stability, Windows must restore the original versions of these files.

I hope that you are curious to know what is the file and when you know that, you can decide what to do about it.

You must click Cancel, and then click Yes to keep the file, then you will have an event to watch which will tell you what the problem is the file.

Search where you sign in to see what is the name of file system Viewer, then decide what to do.

The event will look something like in this example:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Windows File Protection
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 64005
    Date: 10/01/2011
    Time: 14:41:56
    Description:
The protected system file taskmgr.exe had not been restored in its original, valid version because the Windows File Protection restoration process was cancelled by user interaction, user name is Jose.  The file version of the bad file is unknown.

When you know what the file is, you can decide what to do about it.  There are probably other copies of the files on your system, or you can get the files from another source.

A shortcut to the event viewer is to click on start, run and enter in the box:

    eventvwr.msc

Click OK to launch the event viewer.

Check your event observer system log and look for a proposed Windows file protection event.

If you double-click on an event, it will open a window of properties with more information.  On the right are black up and down arrow keys to scroll through the open events. The third button that looks like two overlapping pages is used to copy the details of the event in your Windows Clipboard.

When you find an interesting event that occurred at the time of your question, click on the third button at the top and arrows to copy the details and then you can paste the details (right click, paste or CTRL-V) the text in detail here for analysis.  Remove all personal information from your information after you paste If you are forced to do so.

    Hi Robbie,

Please go to the Microsoft Community Forums.
From the description of the question, we understand that you are facing problem of boot disk failure.
We can imagine the inconvenience you encountered.
Let us move forward and help the issue.

Here are some ways you can follow to resolve the problem:

    Method 1:
As a first step, check to see if the hard disk becomes detected or listed in the Basic Input/Output system (BIOS). Also, be sure to change the boot order in the CMOS settings so that the hard drive is the first on the list.
Note: To learn how, see the documentation provided with your computer or contact the manufacturer of your computer.
Note: Changing the BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from configuration can resolved BIOS/CMOS settings. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    Method 2:

If the manufacturer has installed the computer Recovery Console, perform the check disk to fix this.
At the recovery console command line, type:
    Chkdsk /r
When you restart your system, your computer will be scanned for errors and will try to correct them.
    Check out the link:
Description of the Windows XP Recovery Console for advanced users
    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q314058
Note: When running chkdsk on the drive hard if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

    For more information, see:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb491051.aspx

If these methods do not resolve the problem, contact the manufacturer for assistance

Hope this solves the problem. If the problem persists, you can write to us and we will be happy to help you further.

Together?  Only if you're so low disk space (almost out - the figure even single or double megabytes (MB) area) that everything is affected.  Otherwise - the only performance can affect the messaging application, you use as it POP3, IMAP, Exchange, etc. connects to different e-mail providers at the same time, you need to get your e-mail.  I have three to five settings of accounts on each of my systems (or accounts Hotmail, Gmail, or accounts, corporate, local accounts or accounts ISP, etc.) in Microsoft Outlook and don't encounter any problem.

Maybe someday the dialog box 'ask a question' forums XP will ask these questions automatically when a new thread is started so I don't have to ask every time.  It might even be possible to solve a problem in a single response when enough information is provided.

Please provide additional information on your system:

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

If you have a genuine XP installation CD bootable which corresponds to your currently installed Service Pack, you won't get away with instructions to run sfc/scannow.

Windows file protection wants to replace a file of the backup copy he keeps in the dllcache folder and WFP found that the backup copy of the file on your system is not look right, so he complains (there is a list of 3498 files PAM knows).

When you see the original message, if you click Cancel, then choose 'keep' the file afflicted, you will see a warning message, and then a message like this in the case where the system log viewer:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Windows File Protection
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 64005
    Description:
The protected system file taskmgr.exe had not been restored in its original, valid version because the Windows File Protection restoration process was cancelled by user interaction, user name is Jose.  The file version of the bad file is unknown.

As you can see, the file that WFP is concerned is clearly stated in the paper, so now you know what is the file.

For the above example, I used my (taskmgr.exe) Task Manager file to reproduce the problem.  You need to see what your event viewer message says.

When you know what the file is, you can decide what to do about it.  There are probably other copies of the files on your system, or you can get the files from another source.

A shortcut to the event viewer is to click on start, run and enter in the box:

After having stuck if you are forced to do so.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

  • Error message - Windows files have been replaced by unrecognized to start Windows XP, files.

Original title: unrecognized Windows files at startup.

I recently installed XP Service Pack 3, which included the so-called "Power Shell". Since when I then boot up, I get a message box that Windows files have been replaced by unknown files. I gives me the opportunity to continue with these files not recognized or not. If I choose "Yes" to continue, the message warns me that continue with those unrecognized files could make Windows unstable. If I choose 'No', I received instruction to insert the correct CD and install the files. Problem is the only drive I have is the Operating System CD that came with my Dell Inspiron 530 s. The message then told me that it's not the correct CD.
I thought about uninstalling Power Shell, but I get a message that it could lead to things like updates of IE and do not work. What should I do?

The messge comes up saying that it is not the correct CD as Service Pack of the CD must match with the Service Pack installed on your computer. However, there was a similar question was asked here - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-performance/in-xp-getting-error-files-that-are-required-for/f7433993-e5c2-454c-8f23-ddd7fdb3630b

  • Where can I get a free copy of Windows Vista Home Premium for a laptop Sony Vaio I have my product key, but need to the floppy?

where can I get a free copy of windows vista edition Home premium? I tried to restore my laptop without success. I think I need a copy of the installation disc so that I can reinstall it with my current product key

    Hello

There's a photo guide based on the recovery of your model here...

    http://www.Sony-Asia.com/support/tutorial/381906/product/VGN-fz18g

If you cannot use this method because what did your friend, your options are...

    • Pay Sony for media recovery
    • A base Windows installation followed by installing specific Sony drivers and software from their Web site.

If you walk down the road of the latter, I would say that, if possible, before you begin reinstalling Windows you download at least the Ethernet drivers and wireless and save in, for example, a USB key. Start your drivers to search for them (and other) here...

    http://www.Sony-Asia.com/support/product/VGN-fz18g/FAQ

.. everything will be difficult to download if drivers that allow access to the internet are not native to a new installation of Windows.

Your principled stand against Sony charges for media recovery is, in my opinion, wrong. As I already said twice...

If Sony did not provide recovery media that they have provided the means to create them

If you lost or do not burn them and messed up your recovery partition, it's not for lack of Sony.

My serious recommendation is to accept a fee of Sony for the recovery media. It will make life much simpler for you. For this reason alone, it is probably useful tax, especially considering that you're obviously not a user advanced. Otherwise, why ask the help of a friend and ask for help on this forum?

I suspect that the links I've seen on this website are actually only valid for Windows 7 media images. If you do not buy the recovery media and go with an iso image download Vista Home Premium, I have to warn about the following...

    • The legality of this is, at best, questionable
    • If it's not genuine Microsoft media you might end by in an even bigger mess (if it works at all)
