Here are some ways you can follow to resolve the problem:

Method 1:
As a first step, check to see if the hard disk becomes detected or listed in the Basic Input/Output system (BIOS). Also, be sure to change the boot order in the CMOS settings so that the hard drive is the first on the list.
Note: To learn how, see the documentation provided with your computer or contact the manufacturer of your computer.
Note: Changing the BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from configuration can resolved BIOS/CMOS settings. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Method 2:

If the manufacturer has installed the computer Recovery Console, perform the check disk to fix this.
At the recovery console command line, type:
Chkdsk /r
When you restart your system, your computer will be scanned for errors and will try to correct them.
Check out the link:

  • Portege Z830 - where can I get the new HARD drive

    Hello

I have problem with my toshiba portege z830 ultrabook.
My HARD drive died, and I don't know where I can get the new HARD drive.

I've got guaranteed but I am forgotten registered my cell phone before when I went for repairs not authorized, because my first problem was with the motherboard.

This motherboard has been replaced for new ones.
If my warranty is maybe cancelled.

Well, that's my problem to another.

    What should I do?
Please help me. I am available to do anything.

    Hello

I think that you should first check if your warranty is still valid.
This can be checked on Toshiba Unitdetails page:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/unitdetails/

Where the warranty is valid, get in touch with maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country for replacement.

But as far as I know the Portege Z830 was equipped with an mSATA SSD drive.
This means that the laptop doesn't support HDD 2.5 common but requires special mSATA SSD drive module.

In case your warranty is not valid, you will pay for a new mSATA module.
Replacement should do a service provider authorized Toshiba as well because this replacement is a little tricky on this model of laptop.

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

  • CD/DVD drive is dead - where can I get a new one?

I have a HP Pavilion a6544.uk with TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-H653Q CD/DVD R/W drive, and last week it stopped working.

When I insert a CD or DVD in the drive, looks like it's looking, light flashes, but the computer cannot read the data, after awhile just gives up.

I looked in Device Manager and says "this devide works correctly.

I ran the Hardware Diagnostic Tools, which guard asks me to insert a CD of data within the drive, what I do, made the usual noises of research, ejects the tray and asks me to put a data CD in the drive. Finally fails with "No Media".

I opened the computer to check all cables are ok, looks very good.

  • I have no media, but I have a product key for Windows Vista. Where can I get another drive in Windows Vista without having to pay for it?

    Mssing Vista

I bought a pc where it allows to be on Vista, the licens sticker is still on the pc, but I don't have a dvd, is anyway I can get Vista on back the pc without having to buy a new license?

    Hello

You don't need a new license.

Here are a few ways to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you never received a recovery disk when you bought / got your computer it should / can be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

  • I've lost my Windows 7 Home premium OEM disc. Where can I get a new one?

I reformat my Compaq Presario CQ62 laptop, using my copy retail of Windows 7 Home premium. When I got to the part where I had to enter my cd - key, I used for the background of the computer key, but he said that the key was invalid. After further investigation, I was told that the reason is that the OEM cd key is different from the commercial version.

Now I'm stuck. I already formatted the hard drive, so it's a blank slate, and I need to find an OEM disc, because I can't use my retail version. Where should I do? I looked in the Web of Compaq site and that was of any help.

Of course, that you can use you the retail disc. As long as the edition matches the product key, it should work.

Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link x days before activation.

Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.

    Enter the product key

    Click next

Select the Activation of the phone

Click Next when you enter your key page

    Select your country

Click Next, call the number listed

Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent

They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it

Click next to complete the activation.

If you do not have the above options, click on the option enter a different product key, enter the same OEM key and proceed to activate.

  • I seem to have a bad DVD and an installation DVD needs to be replaced.  Where can I get this?

Apparently, I have a bad DVD and must get a replacement just for the installation.  My DVD came with a bundle for my digital camera and it has a license key, but he would not move on my old version of windows.  So, I have updated to 10 and now cannot get the dvd to install or even be read by PC.  Where can I get a new DVD to replace that bad? I'm sure it wasn't the DVD player because I reinstalled OTHER programs and have been to access the other disks.  I never even entered the license key because the disc made me upgrade the operating system, and now that I did it is not yet recognized as a disk in drive E after only 10 + tries to read. Please advise on how to get a replacement.

You don't really need a DVD. All you need is the serial number. You can download the latest version here:

    Update of Lightroom

You don't specify what version supplied with your camera. If you need an older version, let me know.

  • Where can I get a free copy of Windows Vista Home Premium for a laptop Sony Vaio I have my product key, but need to the floppy?

where can I get a free copy of windows vista edition Home premium? I tried to restore my laptop without success. I think I need a copy of the installation disc so that I can reinstall it with my current product key

    Hello

There's a photo guide based on the recovery of your model here...

    http://www.Sony-Asia.com/support/tutorial/381906/product/VGN-fz18g

If you cannot use this method because what did your friend, your options are...

    • Pay Sony for media recovery
    • A base Windows installation followed by installing specific Sony drivers and software from their Web site.

If you walk down the road of the latter, I would say that, if possible, before you begin reinstalling Windows you download at least the Ethernet drivers and wireless and save in, for example, a USB key. Start your drivers to search for them (and other) here...

    http://www.Sony-Asia.com/support/product/VGN-fz18g/FAQ

.. everything will be difficult to download if drivers that allow access to the internet are not native to a new installation of Windows.

Your principled stand against Sony charges for media recovery is, in my opinion, wrong. As I already said twice...

If Sony did not provide recovery media that they have provided the means to create them

If you lost or do not burn them and messed up your recovery partition, it's not for lack of Sony.

My serious recommendation is to accept a fee of Sony for the recovery media. It will make life much simpler for you. For this reason alone, it is probably useful tax, especially considering that you're obviously not a user advanced. Otherwise, why ask the help of a friend and ask for help on this forum?

I suspect that the links I've seen on this website are actually only valid for Windows 7 media images. If you do not buy the recovery media and go with an iso image download Vista Home Premium, I have to warn about the following...

    • The legality of this is, at best, questionable
    • If it's not genuine Microsoft media you might end by in an even bigger mess (if it works at all)

    Tricky

  • Where can I get a real installation of XP Home product key for purchased disc?

I have an installation disc at home XP genuine, purchased in a 3 pack for OEM installation, but I lost the certificate of authenticity for this disc (other installed and sticker placed on the PC when sold)-this version has been installed on a PC for the family, but now synonymous with failure of the HARD drive I want to re - install the new HARD drive - where can I get a valid COA / product key for this drive?

    MS sells more than XP.

Very few legitimate copies of XP OEM in the wild no longer exists, there is probably more counterfeits out there than the real ones, so be VERY careful about your source.

MS has never sold key without which accompanies the software and or forge anyone.

All above mean them that it is likely that (assuming that the certificate of authenticity for this machine is lost/illegible), it may be easier to upgrade the computer to Win7 or replace it completely.

  • Printer: Where can I get the latest driver for my printer

    Hey everybody,

Just got a new PC and I need the latest version of the software for my printer printer, where can I get that?

    Thank you

    Bill

    Hello

If you have an HP LaserJet printer, go to http://www.123.hp.com/Laserjet and download your software.

For most other printers HP, go to http://123.hp.com and enter the name of your printer. For example: "HP Deskjet 3752" or "HP OfficeJet Pro 8720".

    * Do not look on the Internet for the web site of HP 123! There are many other sites not HP here try to capitalize on the name of HP. HP provides your free software... Use the links above!

If for any reason, the 123 links do not work, you can visit the HP support site and download the software:

    1. Go to hp.com/drivers and select your language / local if necessary.
    2. Enter the name of your printer in the box under enter my HP model number.
    3. If a page appears asking you to select your exact model of the printer, select the link for your printer.
    4. On the page of software results, change the operating system to match the one you need (number 1 below)... he could already be selected.
If an operating system is not listed, HP doesn't have any software available for your printer.
    5. Select installation software label to expand the section, if it is not already expanded, and read the name of the software (number 2).
For Windows, if you want the complete package for your printer, you will want to download the software "Full Feature". For LaserJet, it will be called drivers and software "full." The complete package is much bigger in file size and takes up more resources, but she understands as a window of easy-to-use do things such as sweeping or check the ink and toner levels.
    6. For Windows, HP provides often a base driver package (Figure 3).
The basic package is much smaller and is often available for several versions of Windows as a full package of features. With it, you use Windows to print and scan directly from the software you use, such as Word, Paint, photoshop, etc...
    7. Click on the download button to start the download (number 4).
    8. Read and respond to the screens that pop up to install your software.

    I hope this helps
