  You will need to borrow an installation disc to a former operating system Microsoft - Windows 95, 98 or me. There is no way around it. If person don't you know is an older drive, you can borrow for a few minutes, you will need, you will need to either buy a copy full XP or take the unit to a local computer professional to do the XP installation for you.   It was probably caused by the removal of any file system as I was scaning the pc for malware and probably deleted some important file. only safe mode works now
  and I need my computer quite urgent for the University.

  No saving necessary data and re-installing Windows Vista might be the best option, but here
  are a few others.

  You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer as a 2nd disk (best) or external
  Drive USB enclosure and then backup to removable media such as CD, DVD or other USB drives.
  Of course a real store of the computer or the manufacturer of your system can help to recover the files.

  Or you can use a boot Ubuntu CD to back up data.

  Uninstall CS4 versions properly using the uninstall programs that come with them (aliases are in each of the directories of the apps). In addition, it works as it should - newer versions always leave former in place.   You are probably just seeing a message offering it for download, if you do not have an Android phone, you can safely ignore it. Do not update your Firefox on your computer but, you are using an older version. Update Firefox to the latest version
