Please right-click on any PDF on your system, then go to properties > under general, you will find "opens with". Here you will see 'change' option, by clicking on it, wil give you a window from which you can choose the Acrobat Standard XI as a default for PDF files.

I'm trying to redeploy Adobe Acrobat Standard DC to my users, because the licenses have been removed by mistake; they have up-to-date copies on their computers desktop and I got more licenses for each of them.
My question is that each user will have to go through another download and installation of the product?
I don't think. I guess that they would be required to sign in or provide the number you gave them. Acrobat would continue as a trial until they click on "license this software ' or see help > Sign In.

Okay - just realized that the last screen was asking just for a 'title' to my question!
I have Adobe Acrobat standard XI, but at trial as the "compare documents" would include Pro. I tried to download a free trial of Pro, but the installer said that "it has detected a more complete version of the product" - probably my standard version? - and stopped installation. It's not clear to me, what are my options for upgrading to Pro, or selectively to have bought the plugin "compare documents" (if possible). I use which is probably a business version of acrobat (i.e. my employer has, not me)-so do not know what catchy limits. I think it's a simple question, but he would appreciate advice.
-You can not install Acrobat Pro along with Acrobat Standard. You will need to remove Standard in order to install Pro.

I have two Adobe Id with first ID, I used the trial version. When it expired, I did the second ID and purchased Adobe Acrobat proDC version with monthly subscription. On my first ID it shows now that I have Acrobat pro DC subscription. Second ID (the one I bought the subscription) shows nothing. Now, during installation by using the ID of the first, all is going well, except using the software. He always says "your trial has expired! What you describe (especially the part about the bigger) resembles the screen LCD has been damaged. Black spots appear when the liquid crystal begins to spread out of cracks, over time the task will grow and grow.
If you have some HP ADP (protection against accidental damage), you should contact HP for repair / replacement. Otherwise, you will need to repair the screen or get it repaired.

CD player does not uninstall when installing Acrobat Standard DC
I want to uninstall any version of reader, including CD player uses the DC Acrobat Customization Wizard to create a package of Acrobat Standard DC. Is not and the same wizard suggests, you know you need to use setup.exe installation method to uninstall the CD player, but provides no guidance on how to configure this. I added a command for the file setup.ini - /msi REMOVE_PREVIOUS_READER = YES, but this has no effect.

Scroll to delete it installed product registration.

In a remote session with a Technical Support Engineer Adobe, we discovered that the problem was caused by the version of the installation media I was using. It has been downloaded from the website of Adobe Volume Licensing in August 2015 and the installation files have been dated to 3.18.15. Updated to the 12.18.15 version of installers and now CD player is uninstalled as the last part of the installation process, when you use setup.exe to perform the installation and with the selected settings on the Customization Wizard for reader to be uninstalled.
