I have an 802.11n wireless Lan card and the strength of the connectivity is poor however my laptop compac has excellent connectivity which can do to get a good signal

I just bought a new PC (foxconn) who has a 802.11n wireless Lan card, my connection is very poor but my connection on my laptop compac and iPad are excellent. Is there a way I can get a better connection with this lAN card?

Hello

Check with the assistance of FoxConn, their documentation and online drivers. Don't assume new products
have up-to-date drivers.

Are all Windows 7 computers?

The router may also need a firmware update so check with its creator.

I hope this helps.

I read your post about the way your computer displays a pop-up message prompting you to update the installed wireless card. I'd be happy to help you in this case!

If you encounter any issues connecting to a wireless network on your computer, I wouldn't count the update as crucial. If your computer is having problems connecting to the network, even if the problem is intermittent, it may be a good idea to install the update.

I hope this helps, and if you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to post back!

    Hi mpw101,

I understand that you get an automatic update that indicates that you must install the software driver for your Ralink Wireless LAN card, and I would be happy to help you!

For your computer, the most up-to-date Ralink Wireless Network Controller Driver is labeled sp58084.exe. I spoke with Dunidar on this subject, and he referred me to a previous post that you created on your network card. That being said, if you update is always at the SP62055.exe, please ignore this update as it is a business unit.

    I hope this helps!

    Concerning

  • I have a Wireless N card and the router, but only to connect to wireless-G speeds

I just got a new HP DV7T with a N (with bluetooth) wireless card: Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6200 AGN

I use a Netgear wireless router (WNDR3700) double radio.

My wife's cell phone can connect to the router with a N Wireless card at a speed of 170 Mbps.

My laptop can connect only to 54 Mbps. I checked that I am connected to radio N of my router (the radio of G/B/A has a separate connection).

I found a useful post here:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/wireless-Internet-and-home/wireless-does-not-seem-to-connect-at-802-11n...

I followed the advice of responses and checked all the settings of the router (but the success of my wife to connect at speeds N essentially rules on the router) and checked the settings of the adapter to make sure it helped N.

I wonder what it is that I'm missing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

I was able to determine the problem after extensive web searches.

I was using the WPA-TKIP authentication which, in some cases, prevents the speed N Wireless.

Once I changed WPA2-AES authentication radio N I got immediately 300Mps speeds and it varies between 240-300Mbps now.

I hope this will help others with the same question!

  • TouchSmart 520-1070UK: if I can replace the 802.11n wireless card in my 1070UK 520 for a dual band

I've been updated by my cable company to a router to speed broadband to 200 'up to '. My old iPad connects to new 5G

band but the HP Touchsmart is the single band 802.11n equipped Ralink card.

Can I physically replace or add anything to connect to 5G?

    Hi there @tiggerchris

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking for help on how to replace your existing wireless network adapter or add something to support the 5 GHz band. I'm happy to help you with this.

Service and maintenance guides available and put at level of guides for this system offer no wireless adapters. The simplest solution I can suggest would be an adapter USB dual band WLAN.  There are many benefits to this choice. It is easier to install, it's easy to transfer to another device if necessary, and they can be very economical.

I'd say a bit of research online for this type of device, to see what is available.

    I hope this helps.

  • I have windows xp service pack 3. Driver 4.150.29.0 version broadcom 802.11 wireless lan adapter must be reinstalled.

XP service Pack3, broadcom 802.11 wireless lan adapt 4.150.29.0 version needs to be reinstalled. The pilot had a mistake and while t/s one of the final solutions to try it was to uninstall the driver, then restart the computer. The pilot never reinstalled, same when I searched the Web for this with the installation wizard. Broadcom program still shows in the uninstall programs, but when I go into the Device Manager it shows device unknown, no driver installed. There is no option to roll back to a previous driver. I tried to do a system restore, and it doesn't work anymore. When I did a scan of the system with detective driver that he showed that no driver has been installed for her, but I do not have the cash flow when paying for this to have the wifi. I searched online and not able to find the driver I need on the Web site of microsoft or broadcoms. Don't know where to go from here, other that a cable ethernet... any help in getting this reinstalled driver would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!     If more details are needed let me know what you need to know.

    Hello

I guess that you have a laptop, if your copy of Windows was preinstalled on it there is a big chance that the driver is built into your computer. To check, click Start > double click on C: > double-click the files to program files > (locate) double-click the folder of the cabins. From there, you can install your wireless driver.

However, if the instructions above does not work, then download the driver from the website of the manufacturer of your computer, they should have ALL the drivers for your computer. :-)

  • InPro Comm IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card - need driver for Vista OS

    Hello

I'm new to the Forum and I think that it is just the place to get answers to my questions?

OK, I use the laptop Toshiba Equium L10 and I just downloaded and installed the "public" version of Microsoft Windows VISTA beta 2.
The installation went very well and it took about 40 minutes and considering that it is only a 1.50 GHz Celeron (M), which was very good, but I'm having problems to make a software/driver for my '' integrated '' InPro Comm IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card, so for now, I can not connect to the internet on this subject. (On the bottom of the laptop, it has ' FOXCONN T60N871 802.11 b/g W/LAN Card "which I think is the real name for 'InPro Comm IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card'.)

I installed the software/driver LAN wireless from the utility CD, and although the software seems to be no problem, Windows does not detect the card and does not install the driver for it. I also tried Win Vista update, but nothing is found.

Does anyone know ho to get the software/driver to install properly so that Windows Vista can detect the card and install the driver and software?

If not, does anyone know of a driver updated for VISTA BETA2?

I would really like to keep Vista Beta2 on my L10 so if anyone has some tips that will get my built-in wireless card works, I would be very grateful. (BTW, I don't have a 'wired LAN').

    Concerning

    Hello

These days, a lot of users wrote vista and their experiences with the installation. As you know that officially there are no drivers available. I think that Toshiba will offer all the drivers at the point where vista is officially on the market.

You can post on this tread http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=13771 maybe Brave will give you more information about the installation on its L10.

  • HP dv6-6c10us: HP dv6-6c10us Broadcom 802.11n wireless adapter does not work after windows 10 installed

I have a laptop HP dv6-6c10us with a Broadcom 802.11n wireless adapter.  It worked fine on Win 7.  When I upgraded to win 10, it has stopped working.  The driver has not been updated since 06/02/13.

Until the driver is updated by Broadcom or HP, this computer is now a desktop computer.

Any suggestions on how to get the adapter wireless on Windows 10?

I recommend you to go back and do a system restore to a point before started to install the automatic updates, and where worked the wireless.

Then download this tool that stops updates to install automatically.

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/3073930

Hide all of them and then install one by one until you find the one that is to destroy the wireless connection.

When you have found the culprit just hide it again and it will not be installed.

You can create a system restore point each time you install an update.

Tedious, but you should get where you want to be.

I downloaded the drivers, but once again I installed windows will not use it. I get the error code 10.

How can I make it work?

The wireless port is enabled, but it has an orange light (not green) no idea why?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Ken

Use this original device ORiNOCO Mini PCI Card (comes with) or if you use an additional card? The unit is pre-installed with the original recovery CD?

According to the specifications of error 10, you should try to update the WLAN driver.

    Hi robermd,

If you are Satellite A10 was never equipped with wireless network card, you need to check if it s equipped of two antenna cables WLAN before you buy a wireless network card. The antennas are behind the plastic screen and usually under the keyboard you can find.

If you n t have such WLAN cables you can t install a wireless network card.
