I have an ACER Veriton M221 - dual operating system on hard drive - I want change the XP to Windows 7

I need instructions to change my OS from XP to win 7 opersting system supplied with the machine, on the hard drive.

Nice day

Normally with the double load, Windows 7 is the primary OS and then you switch to XP. However, once you switch to XP, the only way to get back to Windows 7 using recovery disks of Windows 7, you must have created before downgrading to Windows XP. However, the procedure will be to click on start, all programs, Acer eRecovery management, restore, completely restore to the factory settings, click on and you then get a pop up in the middle of the screen with Windows XP X 86 and options Windows 7 x 86 which you can select one, click ok, then, machine will restart and begin to load the operating system that you selected.

Kind regards

  • My Mac has crashed. Reinstalling my operating system or hard drive replacement will cause me to lose my Adobe Master Suite?

I bought my Macbook Pro 17 (it's a Mid-2009, running Cougar 10.8.4) used on eBay, and it came with Adobe Master Suite CS5. I pursued a degree in graphic design, and the computer had everything that I needed to start. Now that I'm out of College, I rely heavily on InDesign and Photoshop to get the job done. However, after five years of loyal service without problem, my Mac has crashed and I have never used time Machine. I might have to reinstall Mountain Lion or replace the hard drive. Reinstalling my operating system or hard drive replacement will cause me to lose my Adobe Master Collection of applications? I can save them somehow?

Any reply and help would be greatly appreciated.

  • HPE 570 T operating system failed - hard drive may be gone

I have a HPE 570 T where exploitation would not start this weekend.  I got this computer a year and change.  I couldn't do it via safe mode and Windows 7 Startup Repair won't work.  I was able to reimage the hard drive and I was about one hour and was some windows updates and it died again.  Now it wont let me reimage and in BIOS diagnostics I get an error injury messages that the hard drive has failed.  I think that the hard drive is dead, or the SATA connection is dead. I don't know what else to do.

I read that the SATA ports some time fail over time on these motherboards.  I wonder if I can buy an SSD and SATA III PCI card and start from scratch.   I I'm OK to do on this system.  If fail built-in SATA ports that could solve my problem in the long term.

Any advice?  My computer is down for the count.

    Hello

First of all check the warranty status for your HP HPE - 570 t.  Some of the HP PC come with a one year warranty more.

Secondly, almost everyone buys a PC using a credit card.  Check with your credit card company and see if your credit card covers electronics for an additional year beyond the warranty period.  Several credit card companies provide this coverage free of charge.

Start your PC in diagnostics (f2) and run diagnostics.

Physically?  Sure.  Without removing it from its holster and moving into the computer?  N °

Buy a new internal drive for the computer - bigger than the current one.  Use the utility it gives with the purchase of most readers of detail (or download from the OEM drive manufacturers Web site) to clone the old smaller disk on the newest disc with much new spaces.  Fact.

I suggest you do the following:

Do a house cleaning and the dust of this hard drive:

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

Windows XP should take between 4.5 and 20 GB * with * an Office suite, editing Photo software, alternative Internet browser (s), various Internet plugins and a host of other things installed.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

Is it possible that I can use the smaller hard disk in my slimline model possible s3500f. The original drive has failed and needs to be replaced. Nor have the money to buy a vista 64 installation disc. I made the recovery discs when I bought the machine like a good girl should, but now I find out that they will not work to install the OS on the new drive, because it is smaller.

Is there a way to get around this? My financial situation like so many others has changed radically since I bought the computer and try to get money$ $ for a new hard drive or Setup disk would take time and my son needs the computer for school, which begins this week.

Thank you in advance to anyone who knows a solution

Salvation, which will not work because they will not be able to send a file of 3 GB email.

Your choices as I see it is to make a 32-bit installation media, or have your friend make the 64-bit support and you deliver the completed flash drive, after they test.

You can start just up and then cancel the installation - just to make sure it will work.

I have a linux operating system and I would like to remove it and install windows xp. I'm afraid that if I wipe the drive, I'll be unable to boot the windows xp disc. Is this true? What is the best way to remove the linux operating system and install windows xp?

original title: HOW I CAN UNINSTALL LINUX OPERATING SYSTEM

If there is absolutely nothing on the disk you want, just format the drive and install Windows XP:

    1. start from the CD. You may need to change the first boot to a CD device in the BIOS. To do this, when you switch on the look for a configuration message indicating what key to start typing, F2 and del are commonly used. The message appears for very long and it you miss, you have to restart the computer. In the BIOS, look for a section that contains the boot sequence, change it to CD, save it and let the computer to restart.

    2. the installation sequence is answering the message press any key to boot from the CD, and then press ENTER to set up Windows, press F8 to accept the EULA, delete the partition, press ENTER, type L to confirm delete, type C to create a partition, choose (Quick) format. Then begins the installation and restart will therefore ignore the subsequent message to press any key to boot from the CD-ROM.

    3. actual installation will begin and takes about 30 minutes. Finally, download all the missing Windows service packs and other updates.

I'm on a mac. I have 2 different versions of mac operating systems running on 2 different hard disks, because of needs of customers with software compatibility. If I update a cc adobe programs in a single operating system hard drive system, it will affect older versions of programs cc in the other system of operating system hard drive?

If, as you say, they are completely separate installations on separate hard disks, each with there own version of PS for example, there should be no way that they could interfere with each other! I assume you are using a form any of Boot Manager to load a specific version of Mac OS x?

I did something similar at the start in a similar situation with client compatibility and not had a problem with either interfere with others!

However, you share the programs somehow between different OS, so that would be another matter.
