  Hi all. I can not turn some pictures I recently copied to my iPhone on my hard drive.

  I have them copied to my iPhone 4s to my PC Windows 7 to an images subfolder.  I can see everything without problems.  If I highlight photos private need rotating, right-click, "Turn clockwise", then sometimes the images will turn successfully.  But sometimes, I get an error saying "you cannot rotate this image. The file may be in use or open in another program, or the file or the folder may be read-only. "Before I got my iPhone 4s, I had no problem of rotating images.  I'm a little doubtful that the new phone / iOS5 is somehow to blame, because it is not attached to the computer, but who knows.

  Just transfer all the photos you took for a a file on windows (as you would if you back up your iphone / ipad to your computer) and open the file using Windows Office Picture Manager. This program is included as part of the suite Microsoft so it was free for me. I'm running windows vista choose to see the file 'point of view miniature"the small box with 4 small rectangles top just under the shortcuts menu command. You can see all the photos in the folder. You can now individually rotate photos or highlight a bunch of them and turn them both using the rotation button up on top. Its a button with triangles too little about it. One of the triangles is laid on its side. Then press 'save' and voila! All your photos are now saved right side upwards. I didn't experience any sacrifice of quality photos or changes.   Make a bunch of audio files, placed in a folder on my desktop. Files initially sent to RealPlayer to burn, but when finished burning CD and went to read a CD, folder got seized by Media Player, 'Indexed' and disappeared from the office. I'm a relatively new computer user, and I need to learn more about file paths, how to view the path FULL of a file on my computer and how to type (create) full path when I need to. The "Indexing" feature seems to erase this lesson for me, and after having spent four hours trying to find Vista instructions on "How to move the file from one place to another", I gave up! Windows 'Help and Support' on my computer gives wrong directions. It states that if I right click on a folder > properties, a dialog box opens with a tab by which I can move my account. There is no tab location here. I found locations tab when right click on the "Mobile" folder, but still no option to "move file". No idea what is the folder "Roaming" or why it's on my computer. I want my audio files in the My Music folder, but this place is "access denied." Don't know how to get the audio file it in any case, but if anyone has any advice, I would be very happy! Thank you. PS - I had no problem moving folders in XP. I don't like the idea that a computer is to decide where to put my files. I want to control where I put my files. I don't like the way search works under Vista. I liked the XP search companion better because, for a computer fool like me, it was really easy to organize and find files and folders and had an option specific to find audio and video file TYPES.

• How to GET all THE PHOTOS TAKEN at 300PPI

  How define the rebels T4i (650 d) so all the pictures taken are 300 ppi?

  I guess you got a request for a person to provide images to "300 ppi.  I get these from time to time.

  Images is not "PPI" (or sometimes referred to as "IPR").  Digital images have simply 'resolution', described as the number of pixels in width by the number of pixels high.

  PPP and DPI means "pixels per inch" (or "dots per inch", as it is sometimes called) and refers to a resolution to a specific display size.  But since you can take your camera image and post it to ANY SIZE you want, the custom of the image really have 'PPI' until you choose a physical output size to use for the display of the image.  The camera cannot know in advance the great that will be.  You can take two images in a row, decide to print one as a 4 x 6 "and print another as a 16 x 20" - the camera does know what you plan to do with the image - and more important still, it shouldn't have to. "

  Suppose an image is (I'll do simple numbers) 300 pixels wide by 200 pixels high.   If you were to print this image in a tiny size.... say 1.5 "wide by 1", then you could print at 200 dpi because it is the number of pixels you can align in just an inch.  If you decide to print the same image 3 "wide by 2" high then even the image would be now 100 ppi - and still you has not changed the data from the camera at all... everything you changed was the size of the media output.

  The real resolution of your camera sensor is 5184 x 3456.  So when someone says that they need a 300 PPI image, what you have to say is ' what physical size? (in inches - since its pixels per INCH and not pixels per centimeter, etc.).

  The PPI is managed by the software from your computer when you export a copy of your image for a PRECISE THAT USE of the image.  You don't want to modify your original image data - you want to create a copy of the image to give to this person who wants to display their specific image dimensions and the ppi.

  One other thing... There is also a notion of the ratio of the image.  Your camera natively produced a 3:2 image - which means that the sensor is 50% wider than it is tall.  A 4 x 6 "print maintains this same image ratio.  But note that if you look at other sizes of a 5 x 7 or 8 x 10, the ratio is no longer maintained.  This means that you have to manually crop the image to the ratio that you plan to use when you print (or indication) the image.

  The essential is that only a display of output has a notion of "PPP"... you can 'print' to a given PPP or you can display on a monitor at a given PPP, but the camera image has no such concept because it is not yet displayed.

  The process of cropping, re-sampling and export an image so that it will be a few specific when, PPI to the purpose is of size is all managed by software on your computer - and not by your camera.

  BTW, you can define metadata in an image with a PPI value.  It is not the actual data - just meta-data.  He "suggests" to a printer (which could completely ignore these data if she wants to) the PPI that you want to use when printing.  In other words if my image happens to have the resolution of 1800 x 1200 a meta-data of the 300 dpi value, then a printer that does not circumvent the data will end up with a 6 "x 4" image.

  For images, there are several ways to get these to your iDevice.

  On a Mac with iTunes and pictures/iPhoto app, the jpeg images should be placed in the library of Photos/iPhotos and with your iDevice connected to sync from the computer to iTunes, under the section Photos to iTunes, you would need to check and synchronize these images to be moved/copied to your iDevice.

  These images appear in the Photos of iOS app.

  It is in no way, I think, to do the same thing with iTunes on the PC that the PC has no app like Photos or iPhoto.

  Another way to copy images on the iPad is to search the apps that transfer of the images via WiFi or Bluetooth, install the application on your iDevice and possibly a companion app for your computer (or the image transfer application is accessible by WIFi or Bluetooth via web browser of your computer) If you can transfer images from anywhere on your computer to your iDevice by transferring wireless in both directions between your computer and your iDevice.

  Images that are transferred to your iDevice light directly to the Photos of iOS on your iDevice app.

  I use an image transfer software called picture transfer application to do this. There are others who make a similar function in the iOS App Store.

  If you want to better organize your images other than that Photos of default iOS application no, there are, in addition, image organization in the iOS App Store apps.

  I use one that organizes images into folders.

  He called HD Photo sorting. It makes the image files duplicated Photos iOS app that you can organize them into folders/subfolders as you want.

  I don't know if you are able or even able to do, but just now I removed alureon with the following...

  Make sure you are saved and have the ability to do a full restore, if things go wrong. This procedure should be a last resort. It is has the potential for dangerous consequences, especially if done by people without proper knowledge/experience.

  • On your PC to rewrite the boot sector of the hard disk by starting a utility on optical media. This support must be created on a malware free PC. I used an old version of Seagate SeaTools, but I guess something like boot from Hiren's CD to provide this facility too Hirens.BootCD.15.1.zip
  • On another Windows PC get the AV solution up-to-date (I used MSE)
  • Remove the hard disk and place it in the other PC
  • Scan the drive and remove malware
  • Replace the drive in the original PC

  If you are not comfortable with this date, if you want to go this route, my advice is take it to a store and show them this message. Maybe they want to make their way instead of that way. If you can, take the recommendation of a friend/colleague who has used the store and had a satisfcatory result.
