I have 17 updates failed in my story. When I try to install the Internet Explorer 8 browser, it gives me an error saying that there is not the inorder of necessary updates to install IE8 browser, I need several Inorder for updates to install IE8, but yet when I go to the updates there are none for my 32 bit Windows Vista computer, it said its updated. I looked at my system icon and there is no service pack installed, this is my problem and if so how do I get it?
How can I get updates failed if I install IE8 browser?
Thanks in advance, Keith
Applications, (Norton and McAfee) are notorious for not to uninstall (or upgraded) themselves.
1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe
2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).
3. right click on the file that you saved in #1 above and select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.
4. open Internet Explorer (only) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 & run the difficulty.
5. open Internet Explorer (32-bit only) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 & run it in DEFAULT and modes difficulty then AGGRESSIVE. [1]
6. restart a last time & test. If still no joy...
7. restore ALL your backups of CCleaner & Registry Booster, restart & test again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[1] full Disclosure: the difficulty operating in AGGRESSIVE mode will remove your update history but not the list of installed updates. -
Original title: Internet Explorer 11
Internet Explorer 11 continues to appear as an update for Windows 7 V64 and it shows as being correctly downloaded and installed when Internet Explorer is open IE 8 and not IE 11.
The IE Update downloads and installs whenever the computer is turned off, or any time an update is made.
Download and install IE11 from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/internet-explorer.aspx
Check IE11 is installed, and then run Windows Update to install security IE11 patches.
Use: HP Deskjet F4480
Message: "HP Solution Center has determined that you don't have the correct version of Adobe Flash Player installed for Internet Explorer. You can easily download and install this application for Internet Explorer to... "followed by a link to the page update Flash
I first saw this message a couple a days ago, so I went and update of Flash Player using the link in the quoted error... fine & dandy until I went online and then remembered WHY I didn't have the latest version of Flash PLayer installed! I use a back on Flash version because the latest version crashes in Mozilla Firefox. If I update Flash Player for IE (that I don't use really), it gives me all the time that I use Firefox just Flash crash errors.
At this point, I suppose that there is an update for the HP Solution Center that started to search for a particular version of Flash Player?
I have team around and can find no current solution for this. Is there a way I can roll the Solution Center back then it stops looking for what version he thinks I need? Link? I'm a bit of a fix because I just installed new ink & can't calibrate or scan.
My Flash Player is version 10 because it is stable in Firefox.
There is unfortunately no way to roll back the installation of the software for Solution Center, unless you happen to have the disc that came with the printer or an earlier version of the software downloaded to your computer. The HP website only includes the latest version of the software. If you still had the drive, you can uninstall the software and reinstall from the disc, which would have the old version of the solution to this topic Center.
Windows 10 - Flash content from Internet Explorer asking you to Install flash player
* Windows 10 Pro Version: 10.0.10586
* www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer, Microsoft 25.10586.0.0 edge - flash content shows just a blank space, so I tried Internet Explorer 11.212.10586.0 same thing happened.
* When I go to test the flash, I get the following message:
Sorry flash player is either not installed or not active
As you can see, flash player is installed, it comes pre-installed with Windows 10.
(which I think is a bad move on the part of Microsoft, such as flash player is slowly being choked out with HTML5 as the new King of the interactive content world, it is also a bad move on adobes part, because they now try to push updates through windows updates, it scr@ws also we) , users, because now we cannot choose to install it, or even to fix! When TI gos wrong like today!)
I think that the problem started after the update of KB3154132, I tried to remove the update and then put it back, I got in touch with Microsoft technical support, which are like (something I'm not going to say) I'm an advanced user, or they, can not solve this problem!
so I'm here,
The files needed for the flash content seem to be in the correct locations, I tried to delete Internet Explorer then put it back in place, Grr and ive tried what the help page adobe said... to activate ActiveX also works to ensure that the plugin is enabled, on which it is
the only other place I can think, who have not tried, is the appdata (data user) that could contain the fix for the problem
other photos
Just to add, this could be a registry problem, I found a few entries that are not the same, but I think that the entries have changed, because I installed flash player manually, under windows 8 under compatibility mode windows 10, I did that, because flash player no longer works, as I explained above,.
Impossible to install Flash on Windows Internet Explorer 8.1
My last version of flash player 14.0.0.176 and the more up-to-date for IE version is 15.0.0.189.
When trying to install flash on IE I took to a Web page: Flash Player issues. Windows 8 (she has is narrowed to this in the editor)
Essentially, it says that Flash Player is already integrated with Internet Explorer for Windows 8 and that I don't no need to install Flash Player.So now I guess if my internet explore has been updated so that I have the latest version of flash. Well, my computer has all the latest system updates which means that IE is updated.
How can I solve this problem? How can I get flash set to update in IE?
can view is no longer wage that is supported by internet explore what should I change?
From 01/04/2013, the State of TN has converted the paychecks in pdf format and developed internet explorer 7 and 8 of the State standard.
Before this change, I was able to view my paycheck. What should I do in Foxfire to allow me again to see my paycheck? Is it possible that there is a trainer who needs to be disabled.They don't want employees with the Mac?
Historically, the Mac version of the Adobe Acrobat plugin has caused problems such as blank white screens in Firefox. Advice for a long time were off and open the external PDF in preview. I believe that this does not work with these PDF files?
Or maybe starting from Firefox 19, there is a display integrated PDF that works with multiple PDF files, but still has problems with some. This article may be worth a visit: How to disable the built-in PDF Viewer and use another Viewer.
load a flash file in Internet Explorer on https
My webapp with flash (fusioncharts that reads the XML data) files works well in Firefox, but not in Internet Explorer. The problem is not that I can't get the XML data (Pragma Chach-control header and, when you get a 'error loading data') because I can load an Excel file with html data. I have a movie not loaded error instead, as if that IE cannot load the swf file.
I tested the application on another computer with https on IE and that did not work, but it does not work on regular http in Internet Explorer.I have found a workaround - maybe not the best, but it works.
When emphasizing swf file to load, instead of using a relative path (such as files/charts/myFile.swf), you can highlight a file with the ordinary way absolut with http instead of https ( http://localhost/myWebPage/files/charts/myFile.swf)
This CSS rule works for me on Linux to Center page.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.
I am building a Web site that contains a horizontal menu spry with submenus on some of the tabs. On one page of the Web site, there is a flash drive in the upper part and for some reason any IE puts the drop-down list behind the flash player. I guess I need to change the CSS files for Spry menu, but I don't know where to start? How can I tell IE to display all of the Spry elements on top? Any ideas? Just a side note... all other browsers display the menu correctly.
I use Dreamweaver CS4 on Mac.
Thank you
Hi GFAngel-9,
Thanks for posting the screenshot. It was very useful.
For non-French speaking people who may come across this message, the error is "Flash Player ActiveX Control fails to register".
The error record is generally returned when there are problems with permissions in the registry or the file system where the Flash Player is installed in. Please read the FAQ How can I fix Windows with Flash Player permission problems? or the tech note Flash Player | Windows registry permissions.
