I have intermittent outages is trying to send e-mail.

The sending process hangs and times out with the message "connected to smtpout.secureserver.net." It is intermittent; Sometimes, I can send emails normally for several hours and sometimes there are not sent for several hours. Just for testing purposes, I have disabled my Webroot AntiVirus sw and all my Thunderbird plugins. I have Thunderbird Extensions.

Sorry! Essential information is that I have the same problem, usually at the same time on two different computers - one is running
8.1 Windows and the other is running Win 7.

More info: I have two android tablets, neither of which have difficulties to send emails via the same mail server.

It turns out that Godaddy, my mail host, made some changes to their system (they don't SAY it, of course) and just today, I was able to make it work on my Windows 7 computer by changing the port number out the Thunderbird. Interestingly, the copy of Thunderbird running on my computer Win 8.1 already got the outgoing port number game (apparently) correctly. Although I does no change at all on this computer, TB has worked all of a sudden on this computer as well. My computer Win 8.1 still has problems, but I suspect it's problem has nothing to do with Thunderbird. We sometimes think that the Internet connection is broken and then will not work until you manually disable the wifi connection and then reconnect. I think that the problem is in Redmond, but what do I know...

    When trying to send e-mail in MS Outlook 2007 I get a pop-up saying size limit reached.  I have cleaned my box (box of reception/sending/deleting) and still have the problem.

    I noticed that the Outlook.pst file is very large (close to 2 gig).  I don't know if this is the reason for this.

    How can I create a new Outlook.pst file or reduce the size of the current file.

    I saw on a post to go to regedit, however once I arrive at Microsoft I have not all folders so I am not able to go in the 12.0 folder and create a new key.

    a question about the APEX_MAIL package. Has anyone tried to send e-mails to multiple addresses by using the p_cc parameter? I found a description how to do this, but it does not work when the addresses are stored in the variables:
    p_cc:  Valid email addresses to which the email is copied. For multiple email addresses, use a comma-separated list
    As it's works, but if I want to add another address to p_cc (stored in a variable), it no longer works.

    Using your code as the base and making the following assumptions:
    1 ' receiver' and "receiver2" are hard-coded electronic addresses
    2. the name of the variable is l_cc02

    Try the following:

     l_id := HTMLDB_MAIL.SEND(
            p_to        => '[email protected]',
            p_cc        => '[email protected],' || l_cc02,
            p_from      => sender,
            p_subj      => subject,
            p_body      => body,
            p_body_html => body_html);
    

    Note the comma at the end of the 'other' email address.

    Can drag you across the message in the Outbox overview to get the Red delete button? It's been a while since I had paste an email in the Outbox, so I don't remember if that's possible.

    IF your account is an IMAP account, try to delete the e-mail on the Mac. Actions sync between devices in IMAP email, so they should be in the Outbox on the server and you should be able to get to them in the Mail from Mac application, use you it, or in a web browser on the server.

    IF this is not possible for some reason, try the mail application to the phone reboots and the closing force force the phone and then try again. Press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used. Blow up the Swipe on application brief mail app to close

    To force the reboot your device, press and hold the two buttons of sleep/wake and home for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

    Check for working offline and see if it will delete, or else create a new Outbox and sent items folder.

    Follow these steps for the Outbox, sent items after you move the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create. Just don't touch the problem message so OE will not freeze.

    Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

    In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    With OE closed, find the Outbox.dbx and Sent Items.dbx file and remove them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.

    To avoid this in the future:

    Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

    After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

    Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.
