  I would usually block web redirects page and automatic refills, but there are sites for which I would like an exception. I was able to find lists of exceptions for pop ups, but not for reloads. In order to have my Bank's web page and a some work as intentioned chat box page I had to uncheck "warn me if web sites try to redirect or reload the page. Otherwise, I click on 'Allow' over and over again at the top of the page. I wish it works as the blocker, where you can just add an exception for the web site.

  I noticed that when I have internet pages that should have sound, I can't hear the sound:-an example is the Foxy Bingo homepage where there are sound played when the page loads, I get nothing. If I play a file related to a video or a music file I also have nothing. How can I check that my flash player is OK?

  These pages work fine on my XP machine, so there must be something simple...

  I can however hear if I play a video file or music from my hard drive, so it's a little confusing, any ideas?

  I solved this problem, just uninstalled the driver and he re-installed when I rebooted. His is now back.

  Thanks for your help. I was on the site of Blackboard at my University (I'm an instructor) and was trying to listen to the podcast of student assignments. An icon like a lego brick appeared with the message 'a plugin is required to play this content. At the top of the icon is a little link that says "block X".

  I clicked on this link, assuming that he would allow me to 'unlock' the material. In this window of Firefox I asked for any material domain name www.nd.edu.au at my University to be unlocked, but now I've lost all access to all of its pages. Looks like I have everything blocked by mistake.

  Please please help as I am currently student conferences via online and after that I got the virus - known as rogue virus, I had to restore the PC to an earlier time. After I did this, the sound disappeared and I can't hear anything online!

  -Check the sound card installed, checked and put in day the driver audio (connexat) very well
  -Downloaded adobe flash 10 - very good
  -check the registry - mapewaver thing is here.

  May I ask if the speakers are cut only? You can enable/disable the speakers by pressing the FN + ESC key combination.

  This happens with all the Internet browser? You need to test with different browsers like Internet Explorer and Firefox.
