I have problems to download or install anything which does not directly from windows update or security or disk update.
I just got a new computer with windows Vista. I had another computer with Vista, but have not had this problem before. I can't download any programs like itunes, adobe or messengers. The problem is that when I download or install it runs through the steps, but does not end. If I download something I choose to save to the desktop. I don't have the box checked to close when the process is done, but it remains closed. I tried to disable the virus protection and firewall and have always found the Outlander issues. Is there something I can do to fix this? It became a same stress and annoying problem with a list of solution without end. Nothing seems to work for me. Can someone please help with

You can try disabling the security software and check if that allows you to download and install the software. If this does not help, you can also try to create a new user account on the machine and check if that helps.
