I have some trouble transfer my image file on a DVD + R?

I use one: computer Hp Pavilion DV5237CL.

My operating system is: Windows XP Media Center Edition, SP3.

I r: Matshita DVD - RAM UJ-years 840 catagoried under CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives.  I have also studied this desire to discover that he is able to write both DVDs and CDs.

Trying to transfer my photos from my document file computer for pictures to my CD drive (E :), I have a problem.)

First, I put a blank DVD in the drive and closed the door, but when I look at the properties of that blank DVD later it shows 100% used space.  But I did not make the transfer.  So this leaves me puzzled.  I have nothing.

Second of all, I get the following message on my screen during the process of making a transfer:

CD drive (E :)

Windows can perform the same action whenever you insert a disk or connect a device with this kind of file.

Blank CD

What do you do?

Add files / data using sound module

Open writable CD folder using Windows Exporer (Note: this option is generally highlighted automatically.)

Burn an Audio CD / with Windows Media Player

Create a CD using Itunes.

Take no action.

Now, I do not understand is this: the Matshita DVD - RAM UJ-years 840 is capable of burning a blank DVD.  However, Windows XP Media Center Edition, SP3 don't give me this option in player CD (e) options (described above).  So, what happened with that?

In addition, I am completely baffled on taking a totally blank DVD + R, put it in my player and discover that it is completely used with no free space.  What's up with that?

Please keep in touch with this chain of message if you must respond to this problem.  Thank you.

I answered some of the answers to this question.  However, I would like to look at answering my question to my answer to their response.  How can I keep in touch with the answering machine if I have an additional concern on the same topic?

one of the problems with seeing that a blank disc is full and not usable, is that she may have inadverdently been burned with no data on this.

Look around your computer, perhaps, right click on the e drive and see if you can find a setting to disable 'burn' when you press the eject button.

the option to burn is provided by the written disc the program via a button "burn" you can manually click with your mouse.

nexly, I would not use dvd r or cd r type discs while your in the learning process.

This can be expensive and you may find yourself with a bunch of disc of Christmas tree ornaments.

Use instead the dvd rw or cd rw drives, which allow several times to write and play and remove and store the computer disks, without burning them.

Incidentally, burn, it's name and the final process to drive "read only".

so the first step is to make sure to disable the burn by adjustment of the ejection and the second step is to use "rw" instead of only "r" discs discs

In addition, your computer has several methods to transfer data on external drives.

You can transfer data / folder via windows Explorer or windows player or other software like nero or sound.

and all methods above have their own fickle way of data transfer and set the dvd/cd device.

Here is more information at hp on the creation of CD:

    Hello.

I've had my A40-151 more than two years now, and up to last month, I got no problems at all. However, last month, it began to be very slow and took hours to initialize. I'm worried that I would lose all the data that I didn't back up, and so I bought an external drive to transfer data.

As I was doing this, my laptop started making grinding noises, and it took up to 12 hours to transfer a single file. I got to the place, I bought it, and they said it had crashed and that it was not something they could do other than get it back - and so I lost all my data.

When I came back, it was OK for a few hours and then started grinding again! And I think it might be something to do with the CD/DVD drive. I uninstalled the drive, and the squeaking seems to have stopped as long as the "drawer" player is open! Help, please!

How can I get the drive replaced? My laptop is no longer under warranty. No I lost everything this that data for nothing?

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello

No, the squeaking is probably from the reader of CD/DVD being dry, while optical rides on squeak track passing. But the long loading is certainly a hard drive problem. Looks like a head crash. The head is more or less what locates and reads/writes data from the HARD drive. When this plant it is unable to read/write/or locate the data on the surface taking more and more to save the data, transfer data and load the operating system. Two problems independent of each other. If your ASP cannot repair the cd that squeaks, then they can replace it one that works normally. I hope this has helped you.

  • Burning image files (JPG) on DVD/CD for use on a DVD machine

I am running Vista on a HP laptop and try to burn a CD/DVD data with jpg files for use on my DVD/TV.  I think I need the format file 'mastered' so that it is compatible.

Put a new CD in the drive nothing happens.  The drive light flashes for a few seconds, then turns off.  On my computer, I can see the DVD player, with 702 MB of free space.  When I try to format this drive (right click, Format) it offers me 4 different UDF file systems (that I understand are all versions of live file) but no option to format mastered.

Help, how to create a controlled disc?

  • Burning Image files of DVD on Qosmio G20 using Norton Ghost backup?

    Hello

I have Norton SystemWorks Premier which includes Ghost v.10. Try as I might, I can't burn an Image of my hard drive to the DVD Ghost v.10 is supposed to be compatible with RAID-0, which I use. The drive from DVD-RAM UJ-845 s is listed as being supported by ghost.

The image is quite small... can't remember the exact size (less?), but it's just the BONE more office and some other applications, so that windows and update Office 80 or more required after reinstalling the recovery disc. There is no user files (Docs, films, music, etc.) which I backup by simply copying to DVD. I have no problem burning the Image file on my drive C: (which would be pretty useless in a collision).

Norton Support led me through the hoops, with no resolution. They suggest that I have buy third-party DVD burning software (Nero is their recommendation) to burn the Image of the c: to DVD, or buy a USB hard drive and see if it works. What a COP out!

I wonder if anyone has had any chance of burning the Images to backup directly to DVD with Ghost, Acronis, etc.. It seems to be a necessity when the Image on the recovery disk is now hopelessly obsolete (and loaded with stuff I don't want or need).

    Any advice will be appreciated.

    Hi Allan

You are not able to burn this image on a DVD because of the size of the image!
The 10 GB are too! The DVD runs approximately 4.7 GB and you will not be able to burn 10 GB on the DVD.

I created a file of image on the second partition, and if something goes wrong I can restore the partition C all from the D partition where saving the image file.

haha OMG finally got it to work thanks @Timo Hahn (idk why didn't you tag) and Cvele_new_account

After reading comments Timo again and blog and wire with cvele comment

Solution was to make sure my update of bindings is set correctly, then check the "Insert" for updating the after:

  • Want to transfer metadata between batches of image files

I'm starting a major project to analyse and annotate collection large photo of my family.  I want to be able to scan pictures in very high resolution, then send lower resolution copies of the pictures to my parents, who live in another State, to annotate.  To do this, I was wondering if all of us who work in Lightroom would be the best approach.  My question is about how to transfer metadata additions my parents made on copies of lower resolution image files in files high resolution, I had planned to stay on my computer at the moment.  I thought about putting all the pictures in a file hierarchy, assigning file names when I Scan photos and sending of various subsets of the file tree at my parents to annotate.  Once they have made mark a group of image files, I would try to merge the metadata for this group of files in my files corresponding high-resolution.

There are thousands of pictures, so I would like to send lots of pictures of them to annotate and receive lots returns with metadata to merge in my files.  Each annotated file potentially has this unique metadata file and needs to be associated with its file high-resolution correspoinding.

I am very new to Adobe applications that appear to be candidates for this type of work (elements of Lightroom, Bridge).  I see a few possible solutions but do not know what will be best.  Can anyone help point me in the right direction?  At this point, I am very open to all options.  I am also a professional software developer and you could write the code, if necessary, but I want only to go down that path if I really have to.

    Thank you!

    David Madrian

Do you have parents Lightroom? If Yes, then it is simple:

    1. export a subset as catalog with previews and without original.
    2. send to parents,
    3. Let them open the catalogue and annotate,
    4. receive the catalogue of their parents,
    5. import in your main catalog.

If not, I think with this workaround:

    1. Select a subset, save metadata (this is important!) and export with the originals to an intermediate catalog,.
    2. Navigate to your folder of intermediate catalog, find the originals exported and the batch-under-sampled them for sending.
    3. Send files sous-échantillonnées parents.
    4. Ask them to annotate files with a few good utility that uses good fileds IPTC or XMP (not some metadata owners). The ExifTool GUI free might work well.
    5. Receive files and write sous-échantillonnées intermediate catalog files. Now the files include annotations.
    6. Intermediate catalog open and reading metadata. Now the intermediate catalogue with annotations.
    7. Open the main catalog and import the intermediate catalog. The main catalogue now has annotations.

In both cases, make sure that you do not touch the current subset until your parents return the files, otherwise later import will overwrite the work you have done on the same files.

  • I have some photos that say they they'RE files. I can't do

Original title: cannot display files they'RE

I have some photos that say they they'RE files. I can't do?

Not sure how some of my pictues are filenames they'RE.

Is there a way I can change the JPG files to copy or viewing?

What is the origin of these files - they are pictures that you have transferred to the computer from the camera or they are files that you have created by changing a few other photos in programs like Lexmark Imaging Studio or Windows Movie Maker?

Search for files of type they'RE, I came across certain types of files that are related to the license of logging in a Windows service, which is not related to pictures of all ways. So, I think by looking at the information on your computer, these files have been created using an application. These files may have been renamed with this extensions added at the end of the name of the original file as well. We will check which called the complete folder for these files:

    1. first, open the folder where these files are saved
    2. then click on the Tools option in the menu on the top bar, and then click Folder Options. (If you don't see not the menu bar with the option tools, press Alt on the keyboard to see)
    3. now click on the view tab, and then uncheck Hide extensions of known file types .
    4. Finally, click apply and then OK.

Now, highlight one of these files and let us know the name of full file with the extension of a file of this type.

Added to that, you can also consult the issue with Lexmark support upward once and see if their program uses this type of file in any means. Here is their support site:

    Hello Kenneth

See my response to a similar q in the thread above...

You can use DVD or CD, but an external drive or a USB is so much faster and easier.

  • I have some important files on my desktop and the fear that one of my employees has copied that data on its USB...?

I have some important files on my desktop and the fear that one of my employees has copied that data on its USB, is it possible to check if there was such a transfer, such as a history of copy, or something?

In my view, the above question sums up all, I'm not that computer savvy, so please give detail instructions, and if there is way to secure these files are copied or sent by electronic mail, please let me know, if I can avoid these problems in the future. Thank you.

You may not know a posteriori if this transfer took place. To prevent it in the future, lock your device by pressing the Windows key + L before you leave your office and keep your secret password.

will not export picture. pop up said some export operations have not been executed. This file could not be opened (1). Also, when I try to add a keyword to a photo

the keyboard of the screen opens and I do not have a touch screen. I uninstalled LR6 and re-installed and it still does the same thing?

See about this in the Adobe official feedback forum: 6 Lightroom exports all selected images.  This thread contains workaround solutions that have worked for others.  Please add your vote and the details of your problem to make it more likely Adobe will give priority to a solution.  And please continue discussion there so that everyone benefits.
