I have a friend who bought his young daughter, an ipod touch 4th generation and he is having a hard time finding applications that will run on ios 6.  any advice?  his first foray into the apple world and somewhat it feels like he bought a very light brick.  would you like more things kids want to - youtube, twitter, pandora, stuff like that.  any way to download the old versions of these applications?

    Thank you!

From when iOS 7 was released, Apple can now download the latest compatible version of some applications (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)

Install the latest compatible version of an application on a previous version of iOS or OS X

App Store: Download the old Versions applications

You must first download the not compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to buy the version on your iPod you will be offered a version compatible If there.

  • Threw my ipod touch 4th generation

    Hello

I have an old ipod touch 4th generation which I broke all the time. I threw the ipod touch in the field (long story) and it has not worked since. It lights and IV ' e tried to reload and reset but nothing works. I would like to get rid of it, but I have a few photos and videos in the photo album that I really want to keep. Is there a possible way to get photos and videos retrieved when its broken? Is there a way out of the chip memory inside and somehow get it from who? Can I take it to someone for repair? I really REALLY want photos and videos from there. Any suggestions or solutions?

    Thank you!

If iTunes does not detect the iPod your only hope is a data recovery company. The flash storage is soldered to the logic board.

  • On my old iPod Touch (4th generation), the music application does not open

On my old iPod Touch (4th generation), the music application does not open. Everything will work as before. I suspect it has something to do with the position that the app was (in podcast lists) before the last sync. How can I get the app to open again?

If you have not already, restart the iPod touch

    is this possible?

    What should I do?

    Matt

When you get the new iPod, you can use iTunes on your computer to select and synchronize the music you want on it, in the same way that you synchronize your current iPod - your iTunes will recognize them as different devices and will remember your choice of synchronization for each, it will not (unless, for example, you restore the backup of your current on her iPod) put the same content on both.

  • iPod touch 4th generation does not not with xcarlink

Can anyone help. I have recently purchased an iPod touch 4th generation for use with the xcarlink iPod interface. I can't seem to make it work either comes up with is not compatible for loading! Can I get nt music broadcast through your car stereo speakers, but an older iPod worked fine and my iPod 2. Y at - it something I am doing wrong? Y at - it connectors adapter that I can buy to fix this very annoying? Can anyone help?

    Sometimes it works:

-Reset the device iOS. Nothing will be lost

Device iOS Reset: Hold down the On / Off button and the Home button at the same time for to

less than ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

    -Reset all settings

Go to settings > general > Reset and tap reset all settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as your contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) are not affected.

    -Restore from backup. See:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

    -Restore factory settings/new iOS device.

However, xcarlink is old and not infrequently an iOS update/new model iPod case compatibility.     All I can find on the site of xcarlink is:

    (6) support iPod 3, iPod 4, Nano, Nano 3, video, Mini, Classic, Touch, iPhone

  • Uses for iPod touch 4th generation 32 GB

    Hi all.

I have my trusty very iPod Touch 4th generation sitting in my drawer for office like a beast.

I really want to re-purpose it but I am lost at what to do with it.

I don't want to use it in a car that I am still happy with the radio.

It is not a point to use it as a storage device in my computer as I have too much storage in there now.

I will not also use it to listen to music that I have my smaller iPod Nano still running stable after 4 years of ownership.

If anyone has any suggestions other than that described above, it would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    iMessage & FaceTime for example.

Given that you have provided no details about your problem, I cannot say.

  • Problem of gyroscope with iPhone/iPod Touch 4th generation with iOS 6

We have built an application using AIR SDK 3.4 and are faced with questions only with this device configuration - iPhone/iPod Touch 4th generation with iOS 6

Anyone has had similar problems. For the Gyroscope data, we use this native extension - http://www.ketzler.de/2011/11/adobe-air-gyroscope-native-extension-with-euler-angles-roll-pitch-lacet-pour-ios /

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you.

Yes, the problem is that the Gyroscope consumes lots of CPU, if the update interval is set to a low value.

We managed to solve this problem recently by using the extension of Gyroscope by Distriqt - http://distriqt.com/native-extensions#gyroscope and by setting the interval to update to SENSOR_DELAY_NORMAL (http://extensions.distriqt.com/docs/gyroscope/docs/com/distriqt/extension/gyroscope/Gyrosc ope.html #SENSOR_DELAY_NORMAL).

  • I have a new iPod Touch

I have a new iPod Touch and it won't play my books while I'm on the road.  My old classic and it was my constant companion.

    What I am doing wrong?

I was told that I must be able to connect to wifi to play because the contact has not space enough memory/disk hard and I have to be on wifi to access the iCloud.

    Help, please!

This means that you didn't upload or synchronize the AB to the iPOd. You try to spread the AB.

Synchronize the AB file to the iPod or when wifi is present download AB for your iPOd

  • New Ipod Touch (6th generation)... Brick!

New Ipod Touch (6th generation).  Right out of the box and as expected, another update Super bricks my new Ipod Touch.  My question is HOW?  And before you ask, YES everything has been updated to the latest version (itunes, Java, QuickTime, IE, Windows and other applications you can think of).  I purposely keep a copy of an older version of Itunes on an old laptop running because this is the only version that will recognize my Ipod when happen (both latest and Itunes).  Given zero has no effect.

When say you that the device is brick what is on the screen today? It does not force a reset? Try If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch does not illuminate, If iTunes does not your iPad, iPhone or iPod , or If you cannot update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

    See this note about QuickTime.

  • Should I get the new iPod Touch or an iPad Mini 2?

Hi, I'm tossing up between the new iPod Touch and the iPad Mini 2. I intend the device mainly for playing games and going on social media. I also want to speedy. Thank you!

Also, I currently have an iPod Touch 5 gen and his microphone does not work. I can not make voice memos, FaceTime, record sound in camera etc. If anyone has any ideas why it does not work, please let me know. I use iOS 9.3.2 and I tried to reset all the settings of the device.

    Problem with the microphone:

-Make sure that the mic hole is clear and unobstructed. It's the small hole at the back of the lens of the camera (the camera back). For the 16 GB one without rear camera the hole of the microphone is on the top edge near the Center.

-Open the voice memos app and see if you see the movement on the needle of the meter GIVEN or changes in mobile graphic waveform with changes in the level of noise recording.

    Also:

-Reset the device iOS. Nothing will be lost

Device iOS Reset: Hold down the On / Off button and the Home button at the same time for to

ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    -Reset all settings

Go to settings > general > Reset and tap reset all settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as your contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) are not affected.

    -Restore from backup. See:

    -Restore factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at an Apple store Genius Bar because it appears that you have a hardware problem.

I myself would get an iPad Mini because I find the screen of the iPod too show and difficult to use. But it really depends on your preferences. That mini iPad fits well is a pocket.
