    Please don t get me wrong but it's user in the forum and if you need to contact Toshiba service or support this is a really bad place.

    I put t know how long have your laptop now, but it is well known that you have set the time to bring your new product back so I put t understand what are you made here.
    Go to the store and bring it back. End of the story.

    Otherwise call Toshiba s in your country and explain the situation. What you can also do is to contact directly the closest Toshiba service provider and clarify all the issues you have with your new Satellite C650.

    This error comes usually when you move the adobe folder to the other location on root drive and try to update the application. Uninstall the application and delete all files from adobe. Restart your machine and install the application again and check for updates.

    To create an administrator account, you must be...
    (1.) an administrator
    (2.) to connect to the existing administrator account, or in possession of an administrator password.
    If you do not have all of the above, forget it.

    When the system asked you for permission, you should click on continue or enter the Admin password. If you could not do either, it means that you don't have administrative rights to do what you want.

    I have a TouchSmart 300-1007 that performs a hard block after about 30 minutes to be turned.

    Windows 7 Home Edition, the stock machine, even if it does even if I start in diagnostics (F9 at the start of the BIOS), so I doubt it has nothing to do with the operating system.

    By "hard block", I mean the screen goes black, the wireless keyboard is not flashing blue light on the USB FOB and the power button only turns off although it by hand for 30 seconds. I have to pull the power cord to turn it off.

    It started shortly after the application of the 5.12 version 2A8E update motherboard BIOS published 2011-03-24. Never should have done that; experience shows that I have more problems than improving when updatng BIOS' are.

    No heat problem (air vents are clean as a whistle). I suppose the best thing would be to restore the BIOS but I don't know if it is possible, or how to do it.

    This is my daily workstation and is now effectively a boat anchor / deadline / brick.

    Any ideas?

    Yay for me. My dose of GENIUS has had this problem for THREE DAYS running machine now without any problem whatsoever.

    It it CERTAINLY evil genius of this machine, no doubt.

    Other victims of the Touchsmart series should regroup and get some kind of compensation. I know that I had to buy a new computer to replace this one when it stopped working, and I spent a TON of time to solve the problem (it would be an easy solution to the factory; not so easy at home)

    You will probably need ot to obtain from the manufacturer of the computer for the installation diskettes (which would be less expensive to get a new XP license) and the repair of the operating system or do a new install. Keep in mind that this could have been caused by your failure to drive hard and not because of software corruption.

I'm able to throw my HP Support Assistant program, but when I click on contact Techinical Support I get an error and must close the HP Support Assistant program. I have not used in one which seems to be a lot of time and I installed several programs and updated a bit since I modified it used. Recently, when I needed to update a program he had me install this IncrediBar thing and sort of thing search engine but I had no choice but to install it as the program I needed. The thing IncrediBar and a search engine thing screwed up my FireFox and Google Chrome browsers and I had to uninstall and install these browsers to get those back to the default home pages, and other options. He managed to restore the default values on FireFox but not on Google Chrome even if I uninstalled the IncrediBar thng and search engine thing and that was when I tried to touch Technical Support for assistance with Chrome and found problems with contact my HP Support Assistant Technical Support.
