  • Hello. I installed the latest update of Firefox and when I start a new tab page displays not now my entry from google line.please help.tks

Hello. I installed the latest update of Firefox and when I start a new tab page displays not now my google input line. I use Windows 10. Until the recent update (v4.1.01) each time I started a new tab the new page would show the google search entry line which is my default. Can help you to restore this feature? TKS

Hi, 41 of Firefox, you must use the add-on tab override (browser.newtab.url replacement), to make changes to the page tab.

Once installed, open the Add-ons (Ctrl + Shift + A) Manager > Extensions, and then look for the new tab override and click Options to set your preference.

Notice, if you want only the new tab to be the same as your home page, you can use the Add on new tab homepage instead.

You will then need to restart Firefox for all changes to take effect.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

Seems to be a problem with McAfee Antivirus. I would like to start trying to update McAfee to the latest version and see if that allows you to install the updates. If this does not work, then try disabling McAfee and see if updates through. If this isn't the case, then you must remove McAfee and install another AV, such as MSE http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/ and see if updates through.

How to back up and restore the registry in Windows

    When you disable Antivirus:

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • WINDOWS UPDATE I have install the same updates

Recently, I have restored my computer Windows Vista to factory default.  I loaded all updates (a few at a time) and all have been completed successfully.  Now, it looks like WINDOWS UPDATE is having me reinstall the same updates, as they reappear on the list of updates to be added.  Please tell us what to do.

You receive errors related to updates?

    1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, all programs and then click Windows Update.
    2. In the left pane, click view update history.
      http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/see-which-Windows-updates-are-installed
    3. Find an update for Windows that has failed to install, and then double-click the update to view more information.
Updates that have failed to install will display failed under status, next to the name of update.
    4. In the Windows Update dialog box, next to the details of the error, review the error code for the update has failed.
    5. Follow the links in the Windows Update dialog box under more information or help and Support to resolve the problem, then try to reinstall updates by using Windows Update in Control Panel or by mail with the error code and maybe someone may be able to help others.

  • I get the same updates 4 times,

I get the same 4 updated again and again, even after a successful installation, the same updates appear during installation. They show installed as well on the history list.
They are: Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 x 86 (KB2478663) download size: 4.9 MB update type: Important security updates for the download size of Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 x 86 (KB2518870) : 18.2 MB, 7, Windows Server 2008 x 86 (KB2468871) the download size: update of 18.9 MB for download size of Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 x 86 (KB2533523): 19.4 MB

See if repair .NET Framework 4 (followed by a reboot) will allow the KB2478663, KB2518870, KB2468871 & KB2533523, to install. See method 1 (only!)-online here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2507641 (ignore the title & section symptom, if necessary).

  • After you have installed the latest updates it freezes and blue screens or?

I have installed the latest updates and it did not even to the part where he set up after a reboot.  Now I'm stuck in safe mode and no alternative.  Updates are not listed in the list of installed updates and I tried to do a repair of the system from the installation cd and I'm tempted to do a restore system since the day before two weeks before updates.  Nothing works.  Any suggestions will help!  I'd hate to reinstall because I have no backup support.

Update: the event log has nothing in it to try to start safe mode.  If the problem occurs before the event log service was started.  I tried to uncheck all part 3 applications and services in msconfig.  I'm out of ideas.  Someone has everything?

I said that I tried to do a restore from the day before and up to two weeks before the updates.  I actually found the problem and he had nothing to do with updates.  My crapped out video card and ATI Control Center was freezing at startup.  So I took out the video card and it starts perfectly.  Thanks for the help anyway.

  • How to find the last update date, time and user of the file field peoplecode

How to find the last updated date time fields of peoplecode records?

    Thank you.

We can check the update date-time using the following query

SELECT LASTUPDDTTM IN THE PSPCMPROG WHERE OBJECTVALUE1 LIKE "RECNAME" AND OBJECTVALUE2 AS "FIELDNAME".
