  You want to switch to the standard version? If so, this is how I suggest to do:

  Clean reinstall it

  We use this name, but it isn't about deleting your settings, this is to ensure that the program, files are clean (not incompatible, corrupt or exotic code files). As described below, this process does not disrupt your existing settings. Don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.

  (A) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 40.0.2 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

  (B) the release of Firefox (if any).

  (C) to rename the program folder, either:

  (Windows 64-bit folder names)

  C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
  

  TO

  C:\Program Files (x86)\FxESR
  

  (Windows 32-bit folder names)

  C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
  

  TO

  C:\Program Files\FxESR
  

  (D) run the installer downloaded to (A). It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

  Note: Some plugins can only exist in the old folder. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

  • \FxESR\Plugins
  • \FxESR\browser\plugins

  On windows platform, you can try running the cleaning from the indicated link tool:Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat cleaning tool - Adobe Labs.

  Type chrome://plugins in the address bar of Chrome. Then, disable "Chrome PDF Viewer" and select "Adobe Reader" plug-in as shown in the screenshot below:

  

  Now, close the Plug-ins tab and restart Chrome.

  I just posted a similar problem to below. You told me the problem - thanks. My "browser wrong version" was caused by a former version being left in the "general.useragent.override" field number It would seem that this old version number would be removed after an upgrade, but the old version number is simply left there. I changed the field of:
