I lost my favorite toolbar, how do I get it back?

I accidentally deleted the favorite toolbar, and I can't find out how to get it back.

In Firefox 3.6 and later Windows, you can hide the "menu bar" by "view > toolbars" or through the context menu on a toolbar.

Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key to bring up the 'Menu Bar' temporarily.

Go on "view > toolbars" or right-click the 'menu bar', or press Alt + V T to select the toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to switch from the State).

    1. Click the menu button

      and select "Customize".

    Try to delete the two registry keys, but create a system restore point before you delete them, just in case something goes wrong.

    Create a system restore point, and then open a run window (Windows Logo key + R), type regedit and press enter in the left pane, navigate to Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify of HKEY_CURRENT_USER. In the right pane, there are two entries: IconStreams and PastIconsStream, right click, then delete them, restart the computer and the keys are re-created.

    You will perhaps (just once) with the right button of the taskbar, click Properties > Notification area > customize and put a tick in those who are missing.

    XP has a PIN to the taskbar option? I think you had it right on the Quick Launch toolbar.
     
    Right click on the desktop | New | Shortcut. Navigate to "c:\program files\outlook express\msimn.exe". Click next | Click Finish.  A new shortcut is on the desktop, and you can drag it to the quick launch area.

    Step 1:

    a. go to start | Research | Files and folders.
    b. type Wordpad.exe.

    If you find that it is there, right click and copy in where it should be, which is c:\Program Files\Windows\Accessories

    Step 2:

    a. go to start | Control Panel | Add/Remove programs.
    b. click Add/Remove Windows components.
    c. click on accessories, uncheck Wordpad.
    d. restart your computer.
    e. go to start | Control Panel | Add/Remove programs.
    f. click on Add/Remove Windows components.
    g. click on accessories, check to Wordpad.

    Step 3:

    Do SFC scan and check if the problem is related to the missing or corrupted system file.
