Caps lock seeing abruptly stopped visible on-screen.  How can I get that back

Windows is not a caps lock indicator.  The indicator on the screen is provided by another program, provided by the manufacturer of your computer.  Computers Dell, for example, have a program called QuickSet which performs this function.  Other computers, such as eMachines, use a program called HotKey that is running in the taskbar near the clock.

If it stop working, the program may have been closed (or maybe even turned off by someone else). A great troubleshooting step is simply restart your computer.  As long as the program is still installed, it must itself automatically restart (assuming nobody has disabled it).

Sorry, it's the problem with computers.  They do what you tell them and not always what you want to do.  I must say that you learned the hard way, why it is important to back up your important data.  If this isn't a "finger control", it could be a virus, it could be a faulty hard drive, could be fire or theft, or could be a lost a laptop or tablet computer.  To paraphrase an old expression, things to.

     Good luck.

Try to delete the two registry keys, but create a system restore point before you delete them, just in case something goes wrong.

Create a system restore point, and then open a run window (Windows Logo key + R), type regedit and press enter in the left pane, navigate to Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify of HKEY_CURRENT_USER. In the right pane, there are two entries: IconStreams and PastIconsStream, right click, then delete them, restart the computer and the keys are re-created.

You will perhaps (just once) with the right button of the taskbar, click Properties > Notification area > customize and put a tick in those who are missing.

  • I did something to thunderbird using the entire screen. How can I get it back to normal

Thunderbird covers now my whole screen. How can I reduce the display?

I found this on the web:

    WORKAROUND SOLUTION:
    1. change ~/.thunderbird/*/localstore.rdf
    2. research: sizemode = "full screen".
    3. change to: sizemode = 'normal '.

This is for a Linux installation. Step 1 will be different for you, if you are using Windows.

    Thus,.

With the help of . Troubleshooting information.
Search for "Profile folder" and click on the button next to it marked 'display the folder '. You will pass to your profile. You will need to have your computer set to see the folders hidden to the next bit.

Locate the file named localstore.rdf and open it in Notepad. You can now search sizemode (there will be a lot of them!) and air for those who are set to "full screen" and change it to 'normal '.

I don't know how it gets the value 'fullscreen' because Thunderbird formally does not offer this option.

  • I lost my favorite toolbar, how do I get it back?

I accidentally deleted the favorite toolbar, and I can't find out how to get it back.

In Firefox 3.6 and later Windows, you can hide the "menu bar" by "view > toolbars" or through the context menu on a toolbar.

Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key to bring up the 'Menu Bar' temporarily.

Go on "view > toolbars" or right-click the 'menu bar', or press Alt + V T to select the toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to switch from the State).

    b. click Add/Remove Windows components.

    d. restart your computer.
    e. go to start | Control Panel | Add/Remove programs.

    Hi Miki

  • Title bar went on the top of the screen. How do I get it back?

The title bar of Media Center under Vista SP2 HP disappeared on the top of the screen. How can I restore, or drag the window using a keyboard shortcut?

I have reproduced what you call - up WMC was the top of the screen when I opened it.  I closed WMC, changed the REG_DWORD value namedtop in the HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Settings\MCE key. PerUserSettings from a negative value (0xffffff60, for example) to 0.  When I launched again WMC, the top was visible.  So, try to change the value to 0 or a positive value after the closure of WMC.  Also make sure the height in the same key value is logical in the context of the resolution of the screen that you use.
