I lost the path in my F: drive

I have lost the path to my F: drive and can't restore it or recover. My computer does not recognize that I have never had a drive F:. Help

It seems that it is a USB external drive.

Try to run the Disk Manager (start-> Run-> "diskmgmt.msc") upwards.  You should see your drive in the list of devices.  If it doesn't have a drive letter assigned, you can right-click on the device and then select "Chang drive letter...". ».
