I lost the user's profile after the execution of an update of the Microsoft Vista

After an update from microsoft on December 18, my user profile on the computer has been lost.

It says there was an error loading the user's profile, and that any changes made to the computer now will be lost once the computer is offline.
For me it of more my ruined A £499 of the cell value and not good for me.

I'm not a computer genius and don't know what I'm doing.

Can someone tell me please know what Microsofts update to vista did and how to fix it please.

> Can someone please advise me as to what Microsoft s for vista update did and how to fix it please.

I think THAT the guys at Microsoft would be able to say what did the Vista update
To be honest I m running Vista updates too, but my computer and all my profiles are not affected

However, what you could do is to put the OS up to this early time using Vista's system restore.
Perhaps this will help you resolve the issue.

If not, then maybe you can manually configure your user profile

  • Error in profile after host controls can be updated.

I recently applied ESXi550-201505002 (may be updated) all of my host and now my profile checks host will not work. I have attached to creating a new profile of the host and also update my profile existing and still no joy. The error I get is "chess against host profile: unexpected error, compliance: no object Type isn't iterables.  I Googled it many different ways and I tried a bunch of different solution attempts. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

    Thank you in advance.

OK, problem solved. I thought that I would update just in case someone encounters this situation in the future.

Our ESXi host for security reasons must be on their own segment without access to any other domain joined machines... except vCenter of course and they do not have direct access to the domain controllers or DNS (we have a file local host on each host computer referencing the other ESXi host). In our host profile DNS is not configured, but apparently something with this most recent update did not like that and that it is 'unknown' when you try to run a compliance check. I could always apply a profile of the host, not simply check that she was entirely consistent thereafter.  So basically, I edited the host profile to include not "DNS Configuration", located in configuration Networking--> NetStack Instance--> default TcpipStack--> DNS configuration. Once I did all the checks came back normal and showed consistent.

    Take care.

I tried to open the Microsoft Vista Task Launcher to update a file.   Got an error saying some files had been lost or deleted or something else and I need to reinstall.  Then I opened the disc to reinstall the operating system and reinstalled the operating system.  Now I can't find anything about it either — music, photos, files, contacts, nothing.  I don't even have the software I had installed.  How can I uninstall the operating system, I reinstalled?

    Hello

When you reinstall the operating system, the hard drive is wiped clean of everything.

It's like starting all over, when he was in new condition.

See if you now have a windows.old folder.

If you do, which should contain your data: pictures, music, etc.

Programs need to be reinstalled. starting from the original media (CD, DVD or download Net).

  • Lost access to the programs, not a virus or registry problem. Lost the rights to the user (?) but cannot access restore or modify user accounts

1st, I tried almost every fix suggested on this relatively common problem with no joy.  It is not a virus, unless it's something very new not found by all the usual scanners.

Only way to access the programs EXE is to run the command prompt by going to with CTRL - tour of the new task (run) in the Task Manager menu and then navigate to the appropriate directory and run the program from the command prompt.   Run virus checker and run various registry fixes recommended here with no joy.  Safe mode does not help with the launch of the EXE.

Because I get the 'Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file.  You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.  When I try to run an exe from a link, I think I have lost the user privileges.  But, since I can't change the accounts of users or the restore, I can't try to do anything there.

This problem occurred after uninstalling several old unused programs followed by performing a disk defragmentation.  (everything is done using Microsoft System Tools).  PC worked after doing these things in vain after the next reboot.

Curiously, I CAN start the web browser from the start menu to post this message.

Another clue: I can't start programs by clicking on them, but I CAN run the program by opening a file type associated with this program, i.e., opening a file named text.doc will cause Word to open.

I am a fairly experienced user, but I'm stumped.  Any suggestions?

    Found solution...

Looked user accounts change program but cannot find or identify it was so impossible to try it.

I was finally able to identify (in trial & error) the restore program and run it using the command window.

The program (rstrui.exe) was found in C:\Windows\System32\Restore\rstrui.exe

I was able to run and to restore to a date when this problem started and that fix.   Still don't know what was the problem of the root but happy to be able to fully use this PC back again.

Thank you to everyone who made suggestions.

  • After a virus, I've lost the system restore for cannot defragment now. Also lost system tools/options.

Original title: after a virus, I've lost the system restore for cannot defragment now

I had a virus which caused problems one of the minor being I've lost the system tools. It now says its empty when I open it.

You don't need system defragmentation tools.

You can defragment from the hard drive, then right-click of your hard drive, properties, tools, defragment now.

Of course, you must fix your missing tools too.

Here's the easiest way I know (thank you, Ramesh):

Part of the answer to the technical support engineer Microsoft does not too which make me think that the MSE has never actually tested this Board to see if it actually works or not.  It's a shame.

In addition, these shortcuts are not part in the folder in any case.  These things must go in the folder for all users - if you don't want your XP to be ignored.  It is a source of embarrassment.

I don't know what you used to remove the virus, but I could do that at some point (soon):

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

I lost the internet connection after acceptance of your latest updates. How can I cancel the updates?

    Debbie

How do you know that the loss of your internet connection has nothing to do with the Windows updates? You must find the reason for the loss of the connection.

How do you connect? Is a wired or wireless with a modem or a router? If a router is the router shared with another computer and this computer can connect to the internet? You need to determine if the problem is a fault on your computer or a failure to connect to your internet access provider?

    What error messages are reported?

    Event Viewer reports

    1. normally, when an error occurs on your computer looking in Event Viewer should be your starting point to find a solution. More related system errors are recorded and get an exact copy of the relevant report is important. Unfortunately, is not easy to understand reports and most of the users computer need help with their interpretation. I have to say later interpretation.

2 Event Viewer includes three main newspapers of Windows. Here's the Application, security, and system. For purposes of troubleshooting system is by far the most important.

    3. to access the system log, select Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, Event Viewer, in the list on the left of the window select Windows and the system logs. Place the cursor on the system, right click and select filter current log. Check the front of the error and click OK and see you only reports errors. Click the Date and time column header to sort. You may need to click a second time to see the last report above.

    4. a tip for posting copies of error reports! Run Event Viewer and double-click the error you want to copy. Select the Details tab and check the box in front of the XML view. Click the copy button to place a copy in the Clipboard and close Event Viewer. Now start your message and paste it into the body of the message. Make sure that it is the first dough right out of the event viewer.

    5. He cautioned against three types of reports, information, and reports errors. In most situations, it is the error reports that offer the best information but sometimes WARNING reports provide useful clues.

    6. all reports have stamps date and hour and when troubleshooting, it is important to focus on the latest reports. Reports of studies from the point when the computer is started, and then check if a similar report appeared in the previous session. If errors do not repeat investigation as to why they happen is wasted effort.

    7. in the individual reports the most important information is the event ID and Source such as these help when looking for help on the internet. The description is just as important and copy the exact text to use as search criteria greatly helps achieve better results when using Google. Not paraphrase descriptions when other people asking for help.

Due to a system restore after doing this process when I tried to connect, I get a message "Unable to load the user profile" help please!

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

All IT gurus out there who know Firefox... have lost the passwords saved when FF created a new profile and delete old files key3.dbf and logins.json profile. Any ideas, anyone?

    So it's not a logins.json file?

I see a signons3.txt file and a file signons.sqlite older, if you can try to see if you can import passwords stored in this file.

You can force Firefox to re-import the passwords in the file signons.sqlite and regenerate the file logins.json with the following steps:

    • reset the signon.importedFromSqlite pref on the topic: config page by default via the context menu
    • Delete the logins.json file in the closed Firefox with Firefox profile folder

When you restart Firefox, then you should have the pref signon.importedFromSqlite with the value set to true.
You have passwords that are imported in the password manager, unless there were errors or signons.sqlite signons3.txt.

You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
