No, you would need to get a license for the Mac version and will not be possible for anyone older than the most recent version (CS6).

I'm buying a new MacBook to replace my mid-2010 MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz Intel core 2 duo, 4 GB of memory, which always runs, but becomes slow. I don't think I need retina display (if I have a lot of photos and films on the subject), but I was told that the MacBook Pro without screen retina was an old system that Apple could not support much longer. Is this true?

Apple only can answer such a question, and the terms of use for these forums discourage us discuss what Apple plans to do.
I too have a MBP 2010. I installed an SSD and that increased performance. Consider that as an option.
You may experience other problems that slows down your MBP. Before commit you the important cash for a new MBP, examine the potential software problems that may be responsible for the poor performance. With the SSD, my 2010 works better than the day he came out of the box.
Ciao.

I bought the box of the product Adobe Photoshop CS4 in 2009 and installed in my iMac. I plan to buy a new Macbook Pro and I am curious to know if I can still install my Photoshop bought in my Macbook?
Yes, your single-user license allows up to two simultaneous installations, activations.
to install and activate a third you would need to disable (help > deactivate) on one of the other two.

I am looking to buy a new MacBook Pro - can I use my current CS6 software?
I installed on my current MacBook to CS6 - I am looking to buy a new MacBook and I was wondering if it is possible to use the same CS6 software for the new?
As I don't use the current MacBook when I get a new one, should I uninstall CS6 on the current and just install it on the new? Which will work?
I have the drive, the serial number and the product code.
Sarahk6971268, we invite you to install the software on your new MacBook. I recommend you to disable the software on the computer you're considering is no longer on the use. You can find more details about the activation with the help of Activation & deactivationprocess.

Currently, I run the design and the Web Premium CS6 on a first generation MacBook Air and want to buy a new MacBook Pro. How will I know if I can install my programs on the new Adobe computer? Because I know that there is some sort of limit.
Also, I had to install the software twice on my computer before because I had to restart the computer. I don't know if this affects the limit.
You are allowed to have two facilities activated, so it shouldn't be a problem with facilities to work on both machines. If by chance you somehow tied up two activations for a machine you can have Adobe support help solve this cat thrue.

Can I install the software on a Mac and a PC CC, as well as mobile devices?
Creating cloud plans allow for mixed platforms. You can set up on all numbersd machines that meet the system requirements for the software, but you can only be connected to the two of them at some point. I think you need the mobile version for mobile devices.

installation of CS4 student edition on a new macbook pro
I just bought a macbook pro (which is not a hard drive) and I am wanting to install my edition CS4 student on it.
As advised by adobe I copied the CD on a USB for installation and then copied on my new macbook to try and install it like this.
I install the first drive fine, but then it asks me to insert CD 2 - when I open the file copied to disk two nothing happens... anyone know how to get around this problem / make it work!
I saw on another thread that you can install cs4 trial version and enter your serial number to activate, but I don't know if it will work woth the student edition?
(I first tried to install CS4 on my new laptop using the migration wizard, but it must have corrupted files, when I talked to adobe and they told me try the installation via a USB port)
The only difference between the editions of the student and others is the license... the software is the same.
As you said, you can download the demo version of the software through the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Don't forget to follow the steps described in the Note: very important Instructions in the section on the pages of this site download and have cookies turned on in your browser, otherwise the download will not work correctly.

How do I get CS4 on my new macbook?
I've been using CS4 on my pc for quite a while now and I just switched to a mac. I don't want at all. I have my serial number and I want to know where I can download the software I own.
Unfortunately you cannot use a serial number of Windows to a Mac version of license. They are two completely separate, unconnected with serial numbers and do not work on the other platform. You can install a version of Windows on Windows and Mac on Mac.
There is a process of transfer of platform to change the serial numbers of victory for Mac (and), but it applies only to the current versions (currently CS6). You won't be able to use it for CS4.
l http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/Policy-Pricing/Order-Product-Platform-Language-swap.htm
Your options:
(1) continue to use CS4 on Windows
(2) buy a new version of CS6 for Mac at full price because there is no way to upgrade from versions CS4 to CS6
(3) attach the Adobe Creative cloud and pay the monthly fee. You will then be able to install CS6 on Mac and Windows for the same contribution since versions Cloud are allowed through your Adobe ID (serial number) and will work on both platforms for a membership fees.
For the record, the CS4 trial versions can be downloaded from
http://prodesigntools.com/download-Adobe-CS4-and-CS3-free-trials-here.html
The tests may be installed, with a valid serial number. But you can only license by platform (only Win or Mac only) as indicated above.

When I click on the tab with a + on it, located next to the current tab, a new page does not open. If I click on 'New tab' in the file menu, a new tab does not open.
Thanks for posting the details of your system. I'm skeptical about the "CompTool0234 Community Toolbar". Could you disable some add-ons and see if that helps.
On this tab:
Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Plugins category
Disable «Conduit Plugin»
On this tab:
Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category
Disable the CompTool0234 community toolbar.
Then very probably a link will appear to restart Firefox to make the change. Does make a difference?

Can I upgrade my current MacBook Pro or buy a new one?
Model MacBook Pro 13 inch 2010 Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo RAM 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB Storage HARD DRIVE 250 GB OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite Hi, I have looked at upgrading my current laptop with some much needed performance boosters, but do not know if in the long run it is worth, or if I should save up for a newer model.
The updates that I think first to replace my current HARD drive with an SSD 250 GB and secondly to replace my 4 GB of ram and 16 GB. (Officially, State Apple this machine does support 8GB, but it's been verified since it can take up to 16 GB).
While I know that these two updates should improve the speed and performance of my pretty spectacular machine, roughy wonder how many years my phone will be usable for after the upgrade. The limiting factor main seems to be my processor, which I am aware might be an obstacle in the future. I understand that apple tend to make updates each new OS X only available for latest machines, and I fear that soon, they will be unavailable for Core 2 Duo models. Can anyone confirm this?
So, I guess my question is, how to limit will be my processor to the duration of life/performance of my mac if I perform the above upgrades?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!
It depends on.
If you use a lot, I recommend to get a new MacBook. If you use too many, your MacBook Pro will be fine.

I buy a new 2015 mac mini with El Capitan. I currently have a 2013 mac mini with Mountain Lion. It would benefit me to upgrade my 2013 to El Capitan, before migrating my information to my mac mini to 2015? Thanks in advance!
Yes, it is better to update the old Mac EC.
Make sure that you back up the old Mac before the upgrade.
Note the application of some may require updated to work with CBS. To check see it:
Also, some devices may require updated drivers and for some devices such drivers do not exist.

Hello. I use mac to make presentations keynote and photographs of edition. I am currently using 11 "Macbook air 128 GB and 4 GB of RAM running on the latest ios. But I find it very slow now, especially my keynotes. Planing to buy a new. Which one should I buy for my needs?
Before you buy a new Mac, as a test, save your user files, erase the hard drive, install Mac OS X and then install only your most used applications. It should work like new.
Any model of Mac bought today, will run Keynote, and Photo editing with ease.
