    Hello

Look over this case Rosewill Challenger. It is not very expensive and it allows you to mount the input of the power supply down to the option (on a hard surface is recommended as a carpet could cause problems of air flow).  Don't forget to take into account the width of the case when buying a system of cooling heat sinks cool air are high enough.  This case has a lot of large cooling fans.

The existing media player could be a problem (finish and made search).

I have one using the Rosewill future for one of my PC, but I see that it is out of stock Newegg.

    Hello

Your laptop's card with Intel Dual core with UMA graphics card and the USB 3.0 version.

The high processor upgrade possible, without changing the Board of Directors is 2640M i7 dual core (HP 666173-001 part number). Not much of a performance gain.

If you want to upgrade to QuadCore i7 (i7 quad core 2860QM), you have to replace the Board of Directors. It'll be better buying a new laptop with the better than going to this costly upgrade card.

  • Looking to upgrade RAM on mid-2012, 13 ".  Need advice!

    Hey guys,.

I'm looking to upgrade the RAM on my MacBook Pro 8 GB to 16 GB.  I have a MacBook Pro 13-inch, mid-2012 with a 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7.  I was looking for confirmation that this is possible and I was wondering what sticks of RAM I have to buy.

It's the RAM I think to buy.

Which resembles the specification of right for the RAM, I'd go personally with Crucial rather than Corsair.

  • Looking for upgrade my 8500 GT 640 XPS

I guess that it's that time again when it is necessary to upgrade my GPU.  Since I'm a video card recommendation excellent last time when I upgraded my XPS 410, I thought that I ask again this large community of my 8500 video card recommendation.

I'm looking to upgrade the video card in my XPS 8500 Vidia GT 640 stock with something more modern (e.g., 2 GB of memory).  I'm doing a moderate amount of games, so I need something that will give me a good framerate when executing a shooter like battlefield game 4 or CoD: Advanced Warfare on the spot (or Elite: dangerous on ultra if possible).  I don't have to spend a lot of money, maybe around $100?  I want something that will be easy to install and doesn't give me headaches down the road too (I don't like to mess with my bowels of PC too .)  In other words, a simple but good card for a modern game that will work very well on my XPS 8500.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.  Yet one time, last time for my 410 I got a great recommendation of the community, so thanks for that!   Hope for another good move once again!

I don't have to spend a lot of money, maybe around $100?

you didn't say what you are playing to the resolution. 1920 x 1080?

The price level of $100, it is difficult to get a really solid card for games, and I'm not sure that you will have the games you listed to 1080 p to work really well.

two options are an nVidia GTX 750ti or an R7 AMD 260 X, but both are a little more than $100, say around $ 110 to $ 120

    Price $150 of best options, point you could get a 660 GTX or a R7 270 X

I think that the best price/performance ratio would be if you can find a GTX 960 on sale for about $180-185 $

I think that these work without problem in the XPS 8500, but I searched this forum for sure.

  • Looking to upgrade HDD HP DV2419US?

I have the HP DV2419US laptop and I am looking to upgrade my hard drive to a larger.  I contacted HP support, but they couldn't really give me a useful answer.  Can someone let me know what is the maximum size of hard drive will have my laptop?  I know there are SATA and 5 400 rpm.  Currently, my laptop has 160 GB.  Thank you in advance.

In my view, would be a 320 GB size max safer. A 500 GB should work, but we've seen a few problems reported here on the forums with those.

  • Currently at looking at upgrading my machine.

Currently looking to upgrade my machine with a new card mother, CPU and RAM. The machine in question initially started with what I guess is an OEM Windows Vista license key. It has since been upgraded and put it on Windows 7. My question is, is it possible to migrate the existing installation of Windows 7 on this new hardware? It's a Socket AM3 and DDR3 DDR2 AM2 socket if that helps at all. I was hoping for a solution simple IE / upgrade, then simply use the HARD disk immediately, but looking at the forums, it is not quite as simple as that. I hope you can shed some light on this puzzle

Because your Windows 7 is an upgrade license. You can not install a license upgrade on a Virgin motherboard. You must have an eligible license installed, which is not related to a previous motherboard. This can be a full retail version of Windows XP, Vista or even Windows 7.

  • You are looking to upgrade the video card on HP p6213w to PCI-Express x 16 GTS 250

I'm looking to upgrade my p6213w integrated to a PCI-Express x 16 GTS 250 video card video graphics. I have already updated to an Antec TP-550 power supply, anyone have suggestions on which GTS 250 fits on the card mother p6213w? Or has someone already updated their HP Pavilion p6213w with a video card PCI-Express x 16 and if so... one that adapts (brand, model, etc).

I am interested in the PNY GTS 250 1024 MB PCIe Reference No.. VCGGTS2501XPB but wasn't sure if this map of space.

Help or knowledge of those who have a HP Pavilion p6213w and installed a new PCI-Express x 16 video card would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I couldn't find all the steps for the PNY graphics card.  However, the XFX GTS 250 1 GB is 9.0 "x 4,367 x 1.5".  It's a double profile (two locations).  You can measure the space for the card.  Measure from the inside edge of the case across the motherboard where the PCIE x 16 slot.  It is the approximate length of the card that fits.  You must be certain that a card double profile will fit, too.

  • Looking to upgrade my laptop HP G62

As the title says, I'm looking to upgrade my laptop for games. And it looks like I'm going to need a new video card and CPU.

I visited Can You Run It? (http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/) and suggested at least for the: processor Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz / AMD Athlon 64 X 2 4400 + 2.3 GHz.

And at least for the video card: 256 MB / Shader 3.0, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT or ATI Radeon HD 3000 +.

He said that my laptop model is HP G62 + -250 (hopefully this means something to someone...  :-/)

Edit: Its a Windows 7 Home Prem OA.

I wonder what is the highest, I go for a CPU and video card, but try to keep my wallet happy?

    Help a girl out?

This project any attempt is DOA. There is no possible upgrade for the video card. It's a chip that is soldered to the motherboard.

For a game that need a GeForce 8800 you will search long and hard and spend a lot of money on a laptop computer that he would go. You can upgrade the processor, but it is expensive and difficult and won't improve game by a significant amount. My best advice is to build a desktop computer that meets the specifications for the game.

I have a MacBook Pro 17 withProcessor - in 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (circa 2007).  Running OS 10.7.5 (Lion).  System indicates the computer is not compatible with OS later.  Hardware can be upgraded to the latest processors and other components to make it compatible with the latest OS.  I think that later models of Macbook Pro 17-inch with processors that allow updates.  I was wondering if these can be swapped or if alternatives were available.

Only the RAM and storage (HD, SSD) can be changed.  Everything is welded to the map logical and selected specially for the system configuration.

    I'm sorry.

  • How to upgrade my 256 MB RAM on the Satellite 2450-201?

How to upgrade my 256 MB RAM on my Toshiba Satellite 2450 201? Where is the RAM located on it?

AFAIK, you can upgrade to max 1024 MB (2x512MB) memory
You use PC2100 DDR - RAM memory modules.
The memory must be located under the keyboard. Remove the keyboard, to first remove the thin cover above the keyboard and remove the 2 screws that are placed under the thin cover.

But if you don't have any experience you shouldn't t do. In this case, contact the service in your country

  • Upgrade the HDD and RAM

    Hello

I have a HP dv7-3085dx (product no: VM188UA #ABA) and I need to upgrade my hard drive to an SSD & increase my RAM. currenlty I have 500 GB hdd & 6144 MB ram DDR3.

    1. Please let me know if Serial ATA III SSD (Samsung - 840 EVO 250 GB Internal Serial ATA III Solid State Drive) is compatible with my motherboard. And is it possible to use this (primary) SSD as well as my old HDD (secondary).

    2. do I need to buy additional cables for this upgrade?

    3. What is the rate of transfer of my RAM? If I could buy a compatible RAM.

Your specific motherboard has the chipset Intel 5 series which is only capable of SATA-II. However, the Evo of 840 Samsung SATA-III will work fine and you will always see at an astonishing speed. You have chosen a good SSD (the same that I use, so I'm a little prejudiced).

With regard to memory, this is the crucial.com on your model page showing it will take up to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) SO-DIMM DDR3-1333.

    http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=Pavilion%20dv7-3085dx

And Yes, you can use 2 hard drives in any dv7. It will take a second drive caddy and cable available here:
