I'm not like WIndows 8 on my new HP laptop 2000-2c29WM

I just bought a HP laptop 2000-2c29WM with Windows 8 64 bit OS on it and I don't like it at all. Can I downgrade the OS by the reinstallation of WIndows 7? I have a full copy I bought for my last laptop that has been destroyed. And where could I find the hardware drivers?

HEY Jf,

You can certainly 'back' to Windows 7 - some people and in your case, the drivers for your computer are still available for the change is possible without pain.

If you think about some of the reasons to stay with this new great operating system, please take a look at some of the ways you can do Windows 8 a little more comfortable while you "make friends" with her.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Windows 8 has many new features, many of which are visible on the 'front end' where the boot screen took the place of the Start Menu button.

There are some immediate things you can do that make it easier to navigate in this start screen:

  • Whenever you need to find something - a program, application, or a file, you can go to the screen start dragging your finger (for touch screens) or your mouse to the lower left corner of the screen.  Once the splash screen is up and running and you can see your 'charms and tiles' (large icons), just start tapping anywhere on the screen for the 'thing' you're looking for.  It's your new method of ' search and type ".  You can use whole words, of words, any pieces that you think you need.
  • Consider using the Windows key to make things easier to find and easier tasks.  The Windows key by itself displays the splash screen, the Windows key in combination with other keys do all kinds of cool stuff:

Keyboard shortcuts in Windows

Windows key + X

  • If you like the start screen and think you want to do even better, then you can customize it!

Tiles and charms of Windows 8

  • New Windows 8 Connection Options include the choice to open a session in Windows 8 using your password to Microsoft Account OR the standard 'Stand Alone' connection to the personal computer.  On the surface of things the Microsoft Account login account synchronized sounds wonderful; a lot of people want to take advantage of the opportunities offered.  BEWARE OF USERS!  If ever you thought maybe it's time to use a better, intelligent and more secure password, it is at this time.

Understand that if you do not use the Microsoft connection, you can ALWAYS easily connect to your Microsoft account later when you need access to the Microsoft store.  If you use the Windows 8 connection depends on how you decide to use the home screen (sometimes called 'Metro' screen) the installation program and the level of connectivity, you need for your Social Media environment.

  • If you like most of the charms (those little smart bar icons popping up with you poke your mouse in the corners), then you can use them as intended.  If it makes you crazy that whenever you move the mouse (finger) in the corner of the screen the charms rise and get in the way, then you can disable the feature:

  • The Task Manager is a lot smarter in Windows 8 and has been designed to be easier to understand:

  • Email POP3 is a little weird - not everything works the way it has in the past.  However, some of them does not work, and it helps to understand what is available:

  • It is therefore important to have backups!  So many people wait until it's too late.

HP - backup of your files (Windows 8) computers

  • The 'file history' backup in Windows 8 is a new very cool feature you can easily configure to save backups of your data on an external drive.  For example, you might have a mini-tower, a Pocket Player or a USB drive connected to your computer that you can use for backups.  You can use a NAS (Network Attached Storage) system, if you have one in your office (home).

Example of a network address NAS drive would include the IP address of your local NAS drive, the main folder available for backup and maybe a local folder dedicated for your own files:

\\192.168.0.1\Data\Dragon-Fur_History

The backup of default history file intercepts files in your "libraries", contacts and favorite settings and runs a new backup to update every hour all that has changed, i.e. "changed" since the last time that the data has been added to the backup.  Nice.  Under "Advanced settings", you can change the duration between two backups in different groups of ten minutes to once a day.

You can easily add folders to the history of the leader, by adjusting, files that are in your 'libraries' setting.

NOTE: If you have a number of files in "libraries" that you maintain for your convenience, and you do not require these files to save to history files, you can always "exclude" these folders of the backup by using the feature "exclude".

If space on your external drive is at a premium, consider reducing the number of versions you want to keep.  Under Advanced settings, just to the right side, under where you decide how long to keep your backups, click "Clean up versions" > remove anything, you can live without.

Creation of recovery disks or saving a recovery Image on a USB drive (Windows 8)

  • After all what you know on the screen start, made you want to live without it?  Do you think this "feeling of Windows 7?

6. Start Menu replacement for Windows 8

  • Don't forget that Windows 8 start faster, too - you'll be operational more quickly with Windows 8 and on your way to what you want to do!
  • All new software coming out - HP and Microsoft will be in the future, be centered on Windows 8 and beyond.  When you are looking for support, most of the applications, the most recent printing software, even the possibility to connect your computer to the rest of the world will depend on more a updated, connected and secure environment.  Windows 8 helps provide this path to the future.

Why am I the white veil and freeze ups on Windows 7 64 bit (new Dell laptop)? It happens on two identical machines. They have both been back at least three times at the shop. One looks a bit better, the other not.

If you say in Device Manager there are yellow warnings that it would usually be due to a problem with the chipset or usb drivers.

If you're telling the problem is only with the particular usb ports it may be related to internal wiring/connections, and if yes is not user serviceable

    It's vista HP I don't like windows 7.

    Hello ronnieegaston,

You can install a copy of Vista on the PC provides the Vista drivers are available for the hardware on your PC. You will need to check the site of PC manufacturers to see if Vista drivers are available for all material.

You also need a copy of Windows Vista retail as an OEM (original equipment Manufacturer) copy is related to the first PC it is installed on. In other words if you had a previous PC comes with a DVD of the Windows operating system you won't be able to install it on a new computer because the operating system is bound to this first machine.

  • How can I install outlook express I DO NOT LIKE WINDOWS LIVE MAIL

I don't like windows live mail hoe can install express look?

    On Friday, November 2, 2012 17:59:29 + 0000, Billie Skov says:

I don't like windows live mail

I'm not either. I think it's the worst email program I've ever seen.

But there are a lot of other choices of e-mail programs, some for sale
    and some are free.

can hoe I install express look?

You can not. Outlook Express disappeared for several years. Windows
XP was the last version of Windows to include it.

You have chosen to install Windows Live Mail or is it entered
preinstalled on your computer? If your computer came with Windows 7
pre-installed and also Windows Live Mail, which is not because Windows 7
came with it, it is because your computer manufacturer delivered it
    with what he sold you.

Some people will tell you to use Windows Live Mail; others will say
You can use Thunderbird; still others may have other recommendations.

My advice is to ignore all of these recommendations. I personally use
Microsoft Outlook for the mail and Forte Agent for groups of discussion, but you
must try several and choose what you prefer, rather than
your decision based on what I, or anyone else, like better (or even
    what Microsoft suggests).

I intend loading Windows 7 on my new Business Notebook are there any settings I need to change? What should I know?

    Thank you

    Bill

    Hey Bill,.

Windows 7 can be installed on most recent business PCs. There are some requirements and parameters, as you should be aware.

    • First of all, you can not install Windows 7 on a computer with a 7th generation of processor.
    • You must change the version of the TPM secure on the PC or install a fix from Microsoft.
    • You must use the legacy (non-UEFI) mode in the BIOS.
    • You need your own copy of Windows 7 and a license for Windows Professional 10.

    Hello

With this laptop model K450JN, Asus not considered support Windows 7 on it or provide any Windows 7 drivers for it.

Here is a link to this model:

Drivers and tools only 8.1 Windows 64-bit operating system is supported.

You cannot use Windows 7 on it using a pure install replace/remove Windows 8.1 or in dual-boot Windows 7 with Windows 8.1.

  • Pencil also lets take notes like Windows pen?

Im very familiar with the iPad, but I was looking for a device like the one with windows with the especially pen to take notes, but I hated the one windows so I wondered outside made sketch pen also contributes to the drafting of notes, or should I say that it will be useful with the whole educational stuff like taking notes even math stuff?

Yes, but a full support may depend on the app.  Some note apps (penultimate, NoteShelf, Paper53 to name a few I know) are in charge of the pencil features Apple already.  Also of notability, goodnotes (notes and PDF markup app), note, note taker HD (which also has the hand writing recognition as some of the other ones I listed).  There are a lot so that it would be best to look online to some of the comments notes and/or the hand writing recognition applications that support the pencil of Apple.

  • Acer recovery disks do not install Windows 7 on a new hard drive SSD

    Hi all!

I have Ace Aspire 5742 G laptop and I have problems to install the Windows 7 operating system on my new hard drive SSD (I bought the SSD because the original hard drive is defect and do all the time... blue screens)

For the factory restore, I use the restore disks. I burned the discs a few years back when the laptop has insisted me to do (using eRecovery or something, in total 3 dvds).

Testing of computer to install the operating system with the DVD (asked to insert a dvd and then press a key). The real problem is that the installer will just in loops, restart and eventuallyfreezing in the end...

    Restart--> Acer--> Windows logo takes over... files-> from windows-> reboot-> etc.

Which continued for more than an hour (on the first dvd!) and all of a sudden that it froze right on screen "starting windows..." I had to restart and stars on again once.

I can still use my old formatted HARD drive, should I do the new set of recovery disks or use a USB?

Thanks for the answers in advance!

I was not able to edit my previous post, so I'll make a new...

  • Could not restore Windows 8 on my new SSD

    Hi all

    I installed a new 500 GB SSD on my Inspiron 14Z 5423.

I tried to use the three months USB drive, I created there with Dell backup and restore to re-create and rebuild the (clean) software on my laptop.

But the thing won't work, among other things, I get a message of 0 xC0000001. This means that the USB drive is corrupt? I also tried with a SATA cable using the old HD connected via USB. This is because the SSD is built in 'and the recovery drive deos who don't know '?

Because I can't do anything with my laptop I can't recreate the recovery USB disk, I suppose that a (XPS12) Dell recovery disk will not work because it's another machine, is that correct?

Would a Windows.ISO engraved on a DVD work? I've got a DVD in my laptop.

    Please notify.

Once more, the license IS installed on the PC - that it is embedded in the motherboard UEFI firmware - but as I've said several times now, it is ONLY for the HP OEM of Win10 which was preinstalled version.

  • Windows 8 on my new computer laptop vaio, what a waste!

    I have a new laptop, a vaio SVS1511L3ES

After a few problems with my installation of windows 7, I decided to switch to windows 8.

I did a clean install and hoped that the Vaio Upgrade Tool for Windows 8 lite will install the drivers, but it didn't.

First of all, it downloads the files, for literally hours. Half the files it downloads are files that I didn't need. (AMD drivers, even if there is not an AMD chip in my laptop)

Then, after downloading for hours, the upgrade wizard crashes with an error of installation:

    Error

On the Post Install, line 151: Argument 1 must be of type string.

    Stack traceback:

1: [Post Install] line 151 in main piece

Since this happened, I get this same error whenever I start windows, after logging in to my account.

So I decided to manually install the drivers.

So far so good, most works except:

    1. key doesn't work don't no, except the volume keys and mute

2 device manager displays "unknown device" (on Intel (r) Express Chipset LPC Controller HM76 - 1E59)

    3. I can't get rid of the error that I get to the start, caused by the failure of the system initiated by the upgrade wizard.

I don't really you, how a NEW laptop that I JUST bought, with a FRESH windows installation 8 is unable to operate as normal.

Why is it I don't need files download windows Upgrade Wizard 8, crashing and then send me errors whenever I start windows?

Brightness controls do not work why?

After sleeping with installation of different orders, package installation, uninstalling packages, regedit, msconfig and so now I'm a little frustrated here.

Change the language for non-Unicode for English in the regional and language settings - administration tab, then restart.

Mine has been on my tongue. The facility has resumed after I restarted.

Hello. I don't know if I can do it.

I'm going to need a new laptop soon but I don't want nothing with earn 8 or 8.1 to win. I just want to keep Win 7 that works very well for me. I have a new OS is unnecessary and won't spend the time to learn one.

Is it possible to buy a new laptop and transferred my copy of Windows 7 on it?

As long as it is a license of full version of detail, its not installed and in use elsewhere and your computer supports, Yes, you can.

You will first need to go to the website of manufacturers for your model computer and first find out if there are native drivers in Windows 7. A large number of computers that are preloaded with Windows 8 have no native driver support for Windows 7 by the manufacturer. If there is no native driver, you will need to consider returning the machine and buying a machine preloaded with Windows 8 Pro with downgrade rights to Windows 7 Professional. Or look through the catalogue of manufacturers for systems already preloaded with Windows 7, usually the business sector will have these options.

    Resources:

Return the laptop if it came preloaded with Windows 8 and purchase one already preloaded with Windows 7, they are always available:

The only legal Windows 7 download available is now Microsoft, as Microsoft has stopped DigitalRiver Windows 7 ISO downloads.

But Microsoft only provides these downloads for Windows 7 keys to selling product at retail, not preinstalled OEM product keys (Dell, HP, etc.).

If you have a preinstalled OEM license (Dell, HP, etc.), contact the manufacturer of your computer to order recovery media that they need to provide for a fee, IF they still have them available.

Or you can also borrow the same exact retail edition DVD of Windows 7 and use your product key to reinstall.

The COA sticker with the product key is either or in the battery compartment on the underside of the laptop.
