When you add items to a project can then remove the clips? I'm trying to free up space on my hard drive. Thank you.
Not while you're still editing the project. When you have completed the project and shared it and are sure that you do not want to do any editing more far, you can delete the whole project.
If you do a significant amount of iMovie editing you really need to put your libray (ies) on a large external hard drive. Another thing you can do is to divide your work between different libraries and move those that are not currently on a removable drive.

Malicious software could play a role:
If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to do a thorough check and removal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be more difficult to detect the cause.
No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy to detect malicious software is often accompanied by a much harder to detect and remove the payload. So its best to be now too thorough than paying the high price later. Check with them to an extreme exaggeration, and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

Browse the folders with image files, I cannot see the thumbnail icons for images correctly. I know, it should be possible, but I can't do it.
When I first open a folder in Explorer, I see the correct images for a fraction of a second, then all images are replaced by the thumbnail of the image file (which looks like part of a digital SLR).
I put all folders to display picture to display the preview and the filter, and the "always show icons never thumbnails" is not checked. Display file icon "on the photos' is unchecked (I tried checking, too, without change). I also deleted the thumbnails using disk cleanup as suggested on another question, but which did not allow them.
The result is that, if I want to open an image for editing or downloading, I have to use a third-party application (for example, Pentax Photo Browser) to preview images, and then return to the Explorer window to select the correct file by name. Don't try to difficulty of these things that are not broken.izzlecrate,
You might want to try it and I just did this procedure myself a moment ago and surprising, it worked! First of all I must tell you that I have Windows Vista, but the information I got was for Windows 7 and it worked.First: You must create a NEW FOLDER and put it on your desktop.
Second: Move or copy the contents of the original file in the NEW FOLDER on the desktop. I copied the content, just in case something went wrong.
Third: After that is finished and all the contents are inside you.
Fourth: On the desktop right click on the folder and click Properties at the bottom of the box.
Fifth: Click Customize tab at the top and then the Middle click on DEFAULT settings for the folder. Click on apply to, click OK and your doneNOW! You can move the folder wherever you want by drag-and - drop the folder and when it's done and that's the best part, you should see the thumbnails of the folder on the EDGE of the folder that you just created. It worked for me and I hope it works for you.
I have 10 years of experience with my computer and have troubleshooted my friends for viruses and other computer problems successfully. I'm advanced computer user. That this is done, it restores the folder its original settings. Good luck! Rick

How to free up space in a drive by deleting files hidden from the previous operating system?
Original title: my vista home c drive now have very low free space.there is some files hidden from the previous operatnig system busy space that are useless.how can I delete these files?
my laptop is slow due to the very low free space in c drive. How can I remove the unnecessary files from c drive or increase the volume of drive c?
Download a program like TreeSize Free (http://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free/) to see where the files take up a lot of space. Be aware that deleting files without knowing what you're doing can cause your system to be unable to restart or cause instability can so be sure you know that you are deleting before you start. There is no way to extend one hard disk other than to replace it, in which case you need to copy all the files from your old drive to the new.

Need to free up space on hard drive
I downloaded and installed the 30 day free trial PSE 9, delete the file downloaded which is 1.75 GB. Thanks in advance
You can delete the uploaded file, but it would be a good idea to
copy it to a dvd before that you remove. In this way, if you ever reinstall
you will not have to download the file again.

Original title: Disk 0 space unallocated: when I tried to install Windows Vista.
Unallocated space of disk 0: when I tried to install Windows Vista on my laptop and the screen table "Windows Installer"down I got the important message"hardware on this computer may not support booting to this disk. Make sure that the drive controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu "...
Name: Disk 0 unallocated space total size 149.0 GB free space 149.0 GB Type: (empty). Please tell me what to do, I'm desperate. Thank you!!!Hi n m,
Boot you from the DVD to start the installation, or have you started the installation in the existing version of Windows?
I would like to know if you want to perform a new installation or an upgrade installation.
You can not install Windows on an unallocated partition, if you install vista on brand\fresh the new hard disk, you will need to create partitions on the hard disk.
Method 1: Format the partition and then try to install Windows Vista.
Important: The applications on the computer and all data will be lost when you format (New Installation) of the partition.
Method 2: You can follow the steps mentioned in the article below
Error message when you try to install Windows Vista on a computer that has initialized the hard drives: "this computer's hardware can not supported booting from this drive.

I have a laptop Lenovo T61 with 140 GB hard drive using Windows Vista Ultimate Edition
Certain files and folders are hidden. To see them, go to start / Control Panel / folder Options / View and uncheck to hide system files, and check the box to show the hidden files and folders. Which may help explain the difference.
In addition, Vista does not have a very good job of reporting used disk space. It is a common problem with no real solution under Vista. Certain files and folders are simply not included (for some reason any) in the summary or remain hidden despite the changes described above. I believe that this applies to system restore and shadow copy information and probably others as well the files/folders. You can change the maximum space used by these programs that can clear up some space (with the compromise that you have less restore points). Here's how: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76227-system-restore-disk-space.html.
I recommend http://www.hdgraph.com/ to scan your system for how the space is used. It is not perfect either, but it is a bit more accurate and provides more data and information in a way that makes it easier to read and understand the structures. I don't know if it fills up space system restore and shadow copies, but it could (and is probably worth a try just to see what it shows).
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

The larger files in C:\WINDOWS| Temporary folders are 435 hidden files whose name starts with etilqs_ *. Total space occupied by those files is 50.1 GB.
A little googling implies that these files could belong to a product called "Spiceworks" and that they have set long ago, so if you are currently using or have all used 'Spiceworks', don't forget not you use the most recent version and/or look in their an online community where you can find discussions.

I have a new HP Omen 870-040na produces no w3d62eahabu and tries to use it to download my portable hard disk images in the images folder. However, I get an error message saying there is not enough space for the images that I copy. I'm not an expert in computers, but believed that this computer has 2 TB of storage. So why do I get a message like this?
Hey!
Thanks for getting back to me. I totally understand! The purchase of new products, get to know them, their customization and juggling with them can be a lot of fun, but sometimes it can be frustrating.
It seems that the folder C: / drive has been defined for much smaller files. Without being able to physically see, I guess that your operating system, Recovery Manager and other system files are stored on your drive 256 GB or C: / drive.
I suggest you use the 2 TB D: / drive to put all your photos and personal on such files that it is bigger and who may be appointed for you . Although it seems confusing, it is really a good thing!
I want to provide you with your OMEN of PC desktop HP - manuals and Guides for the use of 870-040na. This way if you want to learn more about your product, the option is there for you.
I hope this helps!
