I mistakely installed windows vista on my acer lab to can I do?

I mistakely installed an old windows vista on my acer labtop

Hello

Reinstall the original operating system again.

Either boot from the Acer recovery disk and reinstall the operating system for any operating system you had installed or use the Recovery of Acer partition for purpose to reinstall, IF you don't the have not erased by the Vista installation.

For an Acer at startup, press the ALT LEFT + F10 to start the recovery process.

And if you don't have a recovery partition or a drive:

You can contact your Acer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

How to order the eRecovery discs:

Call the manufacturer of your computer.
Request a set of recovery disks. The cost of the disk is minimal and the money will be well spent.

Also ask to speak to a technician and learn how to access your recovery partition (if you have one) and the use of the recovery partition.

    Note:

If you have files that you want to keep, save these first before you restore your computer.

How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Can we install Windows Vista instead of Windows 8?

We bought a new laptop of Dell XPS with Windows 8 two months ago.  We hate it!  Are we able to install Windows Vista on this new laptop using the disc that we had from our old computer?

    Hello

If Vista is preinstalled on the old computer (Dell, HP, Acer, etc.), it is an OEM license and as such is not transferable.

If this Vista license was a license to retail, bought and installed by yourself, yes you are allowed to transfer, as long as it is only installed on a machine.

    In other words:

    OEM license: NO transfer.

    Retail price: Yes, you can.

And first of all whether Dell has Vista drivers available for Windows 8 machine.

If no driver available, you're wasting your time.

  • Local tech installed Windows Vista Home Premium after a hard drive failure. However, my key is Windows Basic. Is the copy, he put on my system illegal?

    Genuine Windows clean install

    Hello

I had a problem with my laptop Acer Extensa 5230th. It was not started and so I took for Matech computers.  They diagnosed as having a mechanical drive problem.  So they replaced the drive and installed a more recent version of windows vista on.  Note: I haven't bought a new copy of vista family premium, he said he was going to reinstall vista.  It had windows Vista Home Basic, it has installed vista Home premium and said that he had validated by call from windows, but I'm suspicious because I don't think you can use a base of windows key to validate Home premium!  It means that he has put on an illegal version on windows or used the genuine key that came with the laptop.

In addition, on computers of brands, if this happens again, how is a technician for legally to reinstall the original windows that it came with the new hard drive? How to install windows vista basic on the new hard drive by using the original key to make it genuine? What windows installation disc would you require? or is it easier to just buy a new copy of windows?  I heard that many technicians, prefer to install illegal versions of cracking of windows instead of the customer to buy the new installation of windows.
    Kind regards
    Lewis

Please do not post your key on this forum, rather checking to see if it matches the key on your laptop, I(Correction: "if it isn't') it will fall sooner or later"Non-genuine"that your key was for another version of Vista so what was installed.

  • Question: How can I format a PC running pre-installed windows Vista?

I would like to format my PC because of the problems I've been as blue screen errors.

I bought a PC pre-installed Windows Vista and I don't have the DVD of windows.
Question: How can I format the hard drive?

Here are the different ways to reinstall Vista

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

    ____________________________________________________________

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

    __________________________________________________________

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

  • Desktop HP Pavilion p6310y: need standalone Serial ATA Drivers to install Windows Vista on Pavilion p6310y

I bought your desktop Pavilion p6310y on eBay, and I really like it. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on it without problem. For the purposes of running the software (in particular, Microsoft Virtual PC 2007), I also want to install Windows Vista Ultimate on it, on another partition.

I was under the impression that Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - Bit was originally installed the operating system when this system was released, however, when I start the installation support Windows Vista (which I created from a downloaded ISO), it requires additional drivers (no doubt, Serial ATA drivers) before instalatio, also no hard drives appear in the drive list. Anyone know where I can get these independent Serial ATA driver files? The controller is a NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA controller. I do not have the recovery of original installation disks and don't think that it would be possible to get to this point, this system is no longer supported by HP.

Any help would be appreciated. TIA.

    Mark W. Stroberg

    Hi, Mark:

I compressed upwards and tied the driver for the sata raid controller, you require to the nvidia chipset, that your PC has below.

The best way to install the driver is as follows...

Extract (copy) the files on a USB FlashDrive without any folder.

With the flash player and the support of Vista installation in the machine, boot from the Vista installation media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and I hope that Vista will install.

  • Can I install Windows Vista on my A110-178

    People,

I am in possession of a laptop Toshiba Satellite A110-178. I would like to know if I can install Windows Vista on this laptop? And what version, Home Basic, home premium, ultimate or business.

    Kind regards

    Tim Snijckers

    Hello Tim

I checked the Toshiba download page, and it seems that the drivers for Vista are available. Your laptop should have mode number PSAB0. Please visit http://support.toshiba-tro.de > support & download and choose your model of laptop.

Before you start the installation of Vista, it is recommended to update BIOS first. I did the same thing for friends Satellite A100. After the BIOS update, I was able to install Vista and all the stuff from Toshiba with no problems.

  • Qosmio G20 Vista drivers? No need to install Windows Vista

    Hello
I'm new to this forum. My name is Francisco and I live in the Brazil. I have a Toshiba Qosmio g20_105 and it is running Windows Vista Ultimate EN RTM 6000 without problems.
To do this, you must perform a clean installation of Windows Vista. The drivers for network (Intel PRO100), audio (Soundmax), TV (Toshiba PCI Tuner), modem (modem of toshiba), Alps pointing device are installed directly from microsoft. You must install the Toshiba, Toshiba Bluetooth nvidia display driver (monitor and stack), driver Toshiba flash media, toshiba RAID texas (drivers and utilities), toshiba remote control manager and ConfigFree for Windows Vista.
You must have the Toshiba RAID drivers to install from the windows Vista DVD. Otherway, Windows does not recognize Toshiba RAID 0 and RAID 1.

Below some pictures of my desktop of the G20 screen:

    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/myqosmiog20screen1.jpg
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/myqosmiog20screen2.jpg
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/myqosmiog20screen3.jpg

And here is an example of the use of backgrounds animated with Windows Vista, deskscapes called dreamscene.
    It is in pause mode
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/myqosmiog20screen4.jpg

To perform a new installation of windows Vista:

Please, download drivers Toshiba RAID here:
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/drivers/RAID.rar

1 copy the contents of this archive on a floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive.
    2. Insert your Microsoft Windows Vista Edition Bootable DVD.
    3. turn on your computer and press F12 to display the start menu.
    4. Select the option to boot from the CD/DVD drive.
    5. on the first Setup screen, choose your language options, and then press "next".
    6. press on "install now".
7 type your product key and then press "next".
    8. accept the license terms by checking the box, then press "next".
    9. when he asked "which type of installation that you want", press "Custom (advanced)".
    10. when it is asked "Where do you want to install Windows?", make sure that your media containing the Toshiba RAID drivers is connected to the computer, and then click on "Load driver".
    11. navigate to the location you copied the RAID drivers then press 'OK '.
    12. the installation program will return to the previous screen, but it will show that you have selected the TOSHIBA RAID driver.
13 make sure that the TOSHIBA RAID driver is selected, and then press "next".
    14. continue the installation of Windows Vista as usual.

Now, you will need drivers Toshiba for your Qosmio G20:
See the information of Device Manager:
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/qosmiodrivers1.jpg

    Drivers:
    1. SD memory controller

    2 battery and Bluetooth monitor
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/drivers/bluetooth_mon.rar
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/drivers/bluetooth_stack.rar

3 display Nvidia GeForce Go 6600 driver
    http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/drivers/nvidia97.52.rar

    4 Texas FlashMedia controller

    And finally the Toshiba Utilities:
    Toshiba Configfree
    Toshiba Assist
    RAID utilities
    Remote Control Manager
    Toshiba SD Memory utilities

    That's all...

So, I say to you that Toshiba Qosmio G20 is Windows Vista Ultimate capable, indeed.

Hope this helps the people who need and want to install Windows Vista Aero on their computers Qosmio G20.

  • Qosmio G30-176: BSOD when installing Windows Vista Edition full

I have my wisdom(??!!) I bought a Toshiba Qosmio g30-176 with preinstalled Windows XP MCE 2005. The plan was to install Windows Vista Ultimate on drive D: (do the dual machine boot XP & Vista). I've updated the BIOS today on the Toshiba site and I ran Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor.

I started the upgrade of Vista (custom) and installed the Toshiba RAID drive C: Qosmio (driver C:\toolscd\raid) driver. Installation starts copying the files from the Vista installation disc. This completes OK.

The upgrade then continues to "unpack"(?) ". files - part way through this restarting of the o/s.
To restart the Qosmio stop with the blue screen of death and the "SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED" message "STOP: 0x0000006f (0xC000009D, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).

    What is the error?
What should I do to fix it?
    Thanks - Alan E

    Hello

You perform an upgrade or a new installation of OS?
If you have tired to upgrade XP to Vista you must first remove some utilities Toshiba XP because some XP tools are not compatible with the new Vista operating system

  • I need help, find how to install Windows Vista on a HP Pavilion 6475z disk.

I need help, find how to install Windows Vista on a HP Pavilion 6475z disk.   I had to replace the hard drive, so he has nothing about it and I added more ram, but I replace the cd player so it is not yet installed on the HP.   So I was wondering if I could put the installation disc in my laptop cd/dvd and connect computers by usb ports and install it this way and if not how can I?

    Thank you

    Hello

    You are welcome

If the CD/DVD drive in the works of PC Gateway, you can (at least temporarily) remove it and install it in the HP, you can run your recovery disc and reinstall Vista.  Once everything is running on the HP, you can always remove the CD/DVD drive and reinstall it in the gateway PC if you wish.

  • If I install Windows Vista Home Premium to my Windows XP is it go faster?

Hi, I want to know if I install Windows Vista Home Premium on my Windows XP Home Edition it will go faster? Now, Windows XP is very slow and my son wants to play online games and he can't because the computer will have to slow down. So I was wondering if I install the Windows Vista disc I had, this will make faster? and the computer I have an adapter to receive Web, couldn't that make it slow to? Please answer.

It depends on the specifications of the system... XP might be infected with something, if its slow. You have it scanned with an AV program or something? Vista needs a bit more ram than XP. So, if there is not enough ram in the system, Vista can be just as slow (or slower) than XP. If the conversation of youre cable is an ethenet cable, you need it. Or you will not get on the internet
