As most have a hole 'open emergency' where you can insert a paperclip unfolded to force the door open, check the door and/or the façade.

    One question; Why are you doing this?
    I mean why you want to open the notebook?
    Always it is that Satellite Pro A120 is not an old notebook and I presume that the guarantee is valid.
    If you remove the lid of the laptop, you will lose the warranty!

    The removal of CD/DVD is very easy.
    Usually, it is fixed with a screw located at the bottom of the unit. You have to remove first, and then he should be able to take off from the STRANGE.

  • removal of large size of virtual machine snapshot, esxi 4.0.0 (208167)

    Dear Experts,

    I am looking for assistance before you do this step, remove the snapshot of a virtual machine (NNMi-Test), 100 GB thick disk has been assigned to this virtual machine when it is created. After the installation of the operating system, we took a snapshot. Explained user had to test something on this one and we wanted as if during the tests of some problem occur due to the facilities at least that we can return to the fresh install of OS snapshot.

    After that we missed by mistake that we had seen on this machine. Now I want to delete this single snapshot, but its size is now KB 26,182,660. The current state of the machine, we want to keep, it's OK with us.

    I can proceed without fear of deleting, I should say 'remove all' OR 'delete '. Image is attached here with. This machine is the "EVAstorage2" data store and 193 GB is free on this subject.

    There is another virtual host below computers run on it, I also need help with clichés:

    -machine virtual (NNMi) , assigned to 150 GB thick disk, also have same instant problem has been created and it is now 7.7 GB,.

    This machine is on "EVAstorage1" and is 221GB free space

    -virtual machine (Bukhari), assigned thick 150 GB, also named snapshot after operating system installation and size soft

    this wink, shot is now showing only 128GB

    I have attached the images of the three machines I need assistance for: NNMi-Test, NNMi Bukhari

    Please note that the Esxi is 4.0.0 (208167)

    Please help me and require further details before giving an answer to me, please ask me. Also, keep in mind there are also other virtual machines on the same 'EVAstorage1' and 'EVAstorage2' data with disk available warehouses thin and little with thick disk.

    Kind regards

    Jocelyn

    The GUI seems to check the hard of the last snapshot file in the chain to see if it contains an entry "ddb.thinProvisioned". Because this entry is present in the hard disk basic GUI file guess a thick disc put into service.

    I suggest that you remove the snasphot of a single virtual machine at the same time and that after opening hours. Please make sure that there are no application backup or other task that would try to create a snapshot of this machine that performs the erase process.

    I wouldn't worry too much about the size of the snapshot or any performance impact, just be patient and wait as the deletion process at the end (which could take a while).

    The maximum required temporarily on the disk with a single snapshot is about the size of the snapshot itself more space for a snapshot of assistance, which contains changes to the virtual machine, while the removal is underway.

  • Remove the drive DVD/CD-RW in Satellite Pro A120

    Can someone help me remove the DVD/CD-RW of this laptop?
    I already folded the bezel on the original disk, which I am trying to remove to replace it with a DVD - RW drive.
    I removed the screw - (reported by F6 on the plastic box - which seems to be the one & only) & the drive didn't budge. It seems a bit at loose in the case of the laptop but do not pull. Is there another screw or a clip that I'm missing?
    I got a scheme by a person I am in contact with, but it's no help. I don't want to just pull hard & break the drive excising & the laptop as well.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    I guess under the keyboard is a type of switch that needs to be released and turn off the STRANGE out of the slot. A120 is a new unit and I hope you know withdrawal of the keyboard, you can void the warranty.

    Think about it!

    Hello

    It's very strange that you can not remove the optical drive as DVD - ROM drive Assembly is secured with just a screw on the underside. If the screw is removed, you just pull all of the DVD-ROM drive.

    There is no other screws.

    First make sure that there is no disc in the dvd/cd drive. Then remove the single screw shown in step 2 in the image. To remove the drive, you can either push with a screwdriver as shown in step 2 (if iti is you push hard with the screwdriver and help pulling the device at the same time) or you can gently pull the optical unit, as shown in step 3.

  • AutoPlay dialog box does not appear when you insert a removable disk (USB, DVD, CD, SD cards)

    Hi, I have a problem with the AutoPlay dialog box. It does not appear whenever I am inserting a USB device into my laptop, it display normally if I insert a USB device. I tried to click with the right button on the drive removable (h :)), but I couldn't see "Open AutoPlay" anywhere in the right click menu.

    I checked the AutoPlay Options in the Control Panel, it is enabled for all media. I already tried to affect the default settings, but it makes no difference. I also checked if the Hardware Detection service core is running, that is.

    I even tried to delete all values in {HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer}, but he still did nothing.

    I even tried to delete all values of {HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer}, he did nothing either.

    I would really appreciate it if someone could please tell me how to solve the problem, I need to know which registry value to modify or remove to get the AutoPlay to run dialog box. And the registry keys that operate the AutoPlay dialog box?

  • Backup fails and imprisons the DVD + R in machine

    Please accept my apologies if this is a dumb question with an easy answer.

    I tried to run backup on HP G61-110SE (64-bit Edition Windows 7 Home Premium) that I bought a couple of weeks. I insert the DVD and let it roll. Backup goes to about 50% (over a period of what this is between 3 and 24 hours) then either hangs or advises the backup failed or the drive is faulty somehow and I need to insert another disc. At this point, I try to eject the disc (and we tried to push the button to insert a needle) and he refuses to eject. He even lets me know that he has failed to eject most of the time, but I tend to have already achieved it.

    I need to stop the laptop and eject while it is booting. This means that I have to cancel the backup and still failed to create. Backup restore & does not recognize a flash drive as available on DVD/CD alternative. A few times I even had to pull on the plug, remove the battery, leave it for a few minutes and turn (as they said of working when HP of the work cell phone froze at startup).

    I don't think I'm stupid, but my question is, I'm a fool for trying to use DVD + R or is there something more fundamentally wrong? All I want to do is create a set of backup disks!

    Help, please

    OK everybody! Problem solved.

    Not sure that the following items, which did the trick but I would go with the last of them;

    1. the audio and video dvd which worked well, then tried to backup Sony DVD + R again and it didn't burn. Then,.

    2 disabled Norton, disconnected from all internet and associated devices, ran to the backup for about 24 hours on a DVD + RW Verbatim and it hung at 61% and wouldn't release the drive. Then,.

    3. put the ball across the screen, took the phone upstairs and threw it out the window of the bedroom. Allow the dog to throw it in the garden for 15 minutes. He dropped out of the mouth of dogs, has been replaced power cord, put another ball by keyboard for good measure. Tried to launch backup and it failed. Finally,.

    4 bought some Sony DVD-R. Disabled Norton, etc., ran backup and it worked!

    My conclusion is that, after crossing a cake about 12 25 TDK DVD + R Sony DVD + R, 6 TDK DVD + RW and 1 Verbatim DVD + RW, it is perhaps that DVD-R is the format of the disc to go.

    P.S. If someone from Microsoft or HP is reading this, it might be interesting to convey this to new purchser of your products and the authors of manuals / "help" topics If anyone from Sony is reading this, I will gladly accept a gift of a cake of replacement of DVD + R for free advertising. If anyone from TDK is reading this... Sorry, do not use your brand again. No logical reason.

  • Is it possible to remove a file from your time Machine?

    Is it possible to remove a file (s) from your time Machine?  When I tried, I got a pop up says that backs up the items cannot be changed. How do you get the room on your Time Machine disk?

    Time Machine takes care of its own needs of storage itself, without interfere you in the process. When the TM drive is running out of storage space, TM will remove older backups if necessary.

    Time Machine backups are very sophisticated in what is backed up at what time. It is not as simple as just delete the backups 'elders '. Let TM its magic in itself.

  • How can I remove multiple backups of my Time Machine drive

    My time machine drive has reached the point where you have to delete an old backup before it completes a new backup.  Is it possible to delete several backups (e.g. all 2014 and 2015 ups 25%) since the Time Machine disk at the same time?  I know how to delete a backup but want to delete several at once.

    By removing the old back ups, remove the first one made or that it has the basic material on which TM all backups are built?

    MacBook Pro 2011

    El Capitan

    16 G RAM

    1 TB SSD drive.

    Time Machine drive is 2 TB.

    Thank you

    I came across exactly the same problem earlier this year. The best answer I found was here: thegreyblog.blogspot.com/2014/03/shrink-your-time-machine-backups-and.html in short, Time Machine, always create a full backup, not an incremental backup. So, no, you don't cause damage by removing one. I did it without adverse consequences. Second, use the tmutil command to delete old backups. sudo tumtil gives you the full list. I wrote a bash command line script, as the author points out. I deleted everything I had since last year, from the first backup performed in October, with:

    $ sudo tmutil listbackups

    Password:

    / Volumes/Seagate backup more Drive/Backups.backupdb/mkauffmanmbp/2016-01-01-003303

    / Volumes/Seagate backup more Drive/Backups.backupdb/mkauffmanmbp/2016-01-02-005714

    There was a lot more lines, what we are after here is the location to be used in the next line. In my case it has/Volumes/Seagate Backup more Drive/Backups.backupdb/mkauffmanmbp/ you need do the same thing, use it-before all the spaces in the path as shown below. Below, I've used 2015-1 * because the mine began in October 2015. I have therefore of 2015-10, 11 and 12. If you want to get rid of all 2015 you can use 2015-*. If you want to get rid of everything before October, you can use 2015-0 * which would remove 01,02,03,... 09 to 2015.

    $ sudo tmutil disable local

    (Here a line.)

    $ for i in/Volumes/Seagate\ Plus\ Backup\ Drive/Backups.backupdb/mkauffmanmbp/2015-1*; tmutil delete "$i"; fact

    $ sudo tmutil activate local

    I hope this helps!

    Happy new year!

  • Remove the old cable network name machine Vista

    I have 4 computers on a home network (2 portable wireless, Windows 7 and Vista) and 2 desktops (also Windows 7-Vista) to Windows 7 computers, replacing Vista computers in the near future.  Until them, I always use the four computers.

    I had a LOT of problems (unable to access printers and printers go offline) sharing printer and recently started having "Windows cannot access \\theWindows7newdesktopcomputer", those with printers attached - and I could / can not find a solution for this.  In desperation, I have reset the Linksys router e2500 manufactured back State initial and in the process gained a new network name (do not change).

    My problem is that the old Vista computer wired to the router insists on the use of the old network name (the one that appears on the screen of the network and sharing Center).  The funny thing is that I put on Jack autour with him (nothing has changed on the router) I have now access to the Internet on the old Vista computer wired to the router, even if she seems to be using the former name of network.  So, how can I get the Vista computer to recognize the new network name and quit using the former name of network.  I spent all day on this problem and I am not farther than I was when I started working on the problem of this morning on the printer share.  I guess that the router works because these two computers are connected to the router, but it doesn't look good for me and it seems that it must be something I can change or correct.

    Ron in round rock

    Try to remove from the network and sharing Center by clicking on the Home icon next to network name and go to mergere or delete network locations. I guess you know what to do after that.

    If it is used, then unplug your ethernet cable and try again.
