  Thanx cheryl. In fact, when I went to the Wal-Mart electronic manager told me that I had to call HP and I did and they said since its OEM does not apply the free update. On the question I actually joined HP Smartfriend and discovered the DISP only drivers are for 8.1 and 10 if theyre going to send me the 8.1 recovery disks that will have everything and I have to eat the 40 bux I spent on the copy of win 7 Professional thanks anyway.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

  Restart the PC.

  Downloaded and installed ALL the drivers 'available' on the HP site for this model - including upgrading the BIOS.

  An element - SMBus - on the Device Manager list is NOT enabled.

  Of course you'd be recognizing a LINK FOR DRIVER from someone who knows where he is.

  HP does not include the driver for this device for one of their chipset AMD based notebooks.

  I zipped and tied the smbus controller driver you need below.

  Download and uncompress the file in its folder.  Don't do anything with the files in the folder.

  Go to Device Manager and click the controller smbus who need the pilot.

  Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver folder, that you unzipped.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

  Then restart the PC.

• Laptop HP G2 355: help! Need controller driver for encryption/decryption PCI for new HP 355 G2 (AMD) w/Win 7 Pro 64-bit

  Just rebuilt new HP 355 G2 for Win 7 64 bit.  The ONLY driver I can't locate or get to work is the encryption/decryption of PCI controller. I have installed all the latest drivers for this model/OS of both HP and AMD sites is still no luck. Utility of automatic detection of AMD and Catalyst installed software all other drivers except this one successfully and when ends says that all drivers, including the chipset are installed successfully and current.

  I am at a total loss where to find this driver from a site of OEM, can you help me?

  PCI simple communication controller

  This package provides the driver Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) for the notebook models and operating systems. The Intel Management Engine Interface allows communication between the host operating system and the Intel Management Engine firmware.

  For the network controller, I don't know what model of laptop wireless card is, please post the ID of the hardware for the network controller and I will then post the link to the driver you need for this.

  To find the hardware ID, go to the Device Manager and click on the device network controller who need the pilot.

  Then click on the Details tab in the upper part of the window network controller.

  Now you will see a drop-down list of property and it will be set to the Description of the unit.

  On this list and select the 2nd (Hardware ID).

  After the first string of characters you see in the window.

  I have to go out for a while, so when I'll be back in a few hours, I'll post the link for the wireless driver for you.

  You can also google the hardware ID, and it should tell you the model of the card wireless in your search.

  Then you can just choose the corresponding driver instead of waiting for me to come back.
