I need a programmer who knows Photoshop Plugins.  And knows how to wrap a label 2D around a cylinder... correctly, using mathematics, not deformation.

The feature I need does not exist in the current version of PS.  I understand that it used to be pre - CS4.

The plugin would be:

  • Ask for the size of the width of a 2D bitmap label (which would be jpg or PNG)
  • He would then ask the diameter of the cylinder that must refer to the label.

The plugin then calculates how much the label needs to be deformed laterally (only), in order to faithfully restore the label.

It takes only an isometric rendering.

Context:

The label would then be placed on a cylindrical bottle (wine) (the same diameter as that used in the plugin)

I would then use 'Warp' to be to bend the upper and bottom edges, the need to emulate "camera angle.

No "light" effect is necessary.

It helps Mike!  Thank you.

Now I just need to find how to set the diameter of the bottle of wine and the label width... so it seems ' real!

I also need to learn to turn off lighting.

I guess I need to learn more about 3D on PS.

Could you recommend any particular resource?  Remember, I'm a photographer!

Much thanks again Mike.

See you soon,.
