[Note: this should probably be punted the Hardware section]

You have several choices, depending on things like budget, and if you need/expect commercial support for the card.  The least expensive and most effective option would be to go get MacVidCards on EBay.  Just look for this exact word on EBay and hunt around for its EBay page.  Dave takes on PC nVidia cards and makes them compatible with Mac Pro EFI, so that they can start successfully, view the grey Apple screen and run at full speed.  nVidia will not support that, nor will Apple and retailer of the card or the will.  But, you will have access to cards that have historically been PC only.

On the other end of the spectrum of: grand prize and less performance, you have nVidia Mac-specific maps.  Some of them are listed here.  I would not recommend any of them, but you will get the support of the end user of any manufacturer buy you from.

  • Need driver sound card for Win 7

I recently bought a computer with Windows XP and Windows 7 top load, but apparently when I was downloading Windows 7 it erased the sound card and now I have no sound.

Before I loaded Windows 7 I + made + sound, and I tested the check on preloaded games.

I tested the sound on several YouTube videos after downloading the program, but there was no sound. The small speaker on the bottom right of the screen has a x on it, which is unusual, I went into the Panel and discovered that I had "no audio output device installed.

Where can I find a download of virus-free sound card? (Preferably Microsoft and if possible, free)

Can you please tell us which model of laptop you have exactly?

    Help, please... Thank you!

    Hello

As I m wrong not the portable Pro L20 does support the Conexant CX20468 - 31 AC97 audio driver

Therefore, you can also try installing the Vista compatible driver to other pages.

The installation can be done from the Device Manager. Use the Advanced installation, and then point to the driver file.

    Hello

I think that the laptop must support the audio chip high-definition Intel HDA (Azalia) ADI AD1986A.

Check Intel page for the compatible driver or you would use the audio driver for the * series Satellite L40 PSL40E * or * series Equium L40 PSL41E *.

Is it possible to upgrade the graphics card on Macbook Pro with Retina Display mid-2015? If Yes, what is the best graphics card for Mac?

    Without this change.

GPU is a chipset that is soldered to the logic board or at least a mini-map attached to the logic board.  In addition, the stitching and the GPU driver are optimized for the preselected GPU.

  • What card for Premiere Pro

Im stuck with a Mac pro 2.1, so in order to get into the game of cuda, I have to buy a

Mac Pro Dual Quad Core 2.26 Nehalem... right?

IM assuming that it's just not worth to enter the last drama of mac more hoping to save a little money by buying a refurb mac + the map.

Anyway, the other question is, if I do... What card would work with CS5 PP and that would work better?

    GeForce GTX 285

    or

PNY NVIDIA Quadro FX 4800 1.5 GB

(in a perfect world - I would be working/doing this in bootcamp Windows 7 if possible)

You need a Mac Pro 3.1 or higher.  The last crop of Mac towers are in 5.1

Card for the Mac would be a Quadro FX4800 or you can wait for a new Quadro based Fermi card for MAc which must be in a little while (don't know exactly, but before the end of the year).

  • HP Paviliondv2000: Y at - it an upgrade sound card for hp Pavilion laptop?

I am record an audiobook, but have problems with her e so much, advises him to check if there was an upgrade sound card for my laptop. I'm a complete beginner, any help would be appreciated in simple language.

No, there is no way to upgrade the on-board his, it is soldered to the motherboard, but they do not have some cards usb sound pretty good.

    http://www.Amazon.com/Sabrent-virtual-external-surround-USB-AUDD/DP/B00D69U1B0/ref=zg_bs_3015427011_3

It's a good deal and they go up from there. USB sound cards do not receive electronic interference a lot as the one inside the chassis.

In fact, I have a collection of these because I used to do some recording and edition of the work. I stopped using them because the cards his edge in laptops and desktop computers got very good these days.

If the problem is currently recording using an external microphone or tries to use the built-in function? For any serious recording, you will need to get a decent helmet.

  • Expansion card Thunderbolt for Mac Pro desktop

Desktop Mac Pro with OS 10.11.3.

I plan to replace my popular BU external hard drive with a 6 TB of Raid drive.  The office is not equipped with a Thunderbolt port and would therefore add an expansion card Thunderbolt.  Any suggestions?

Having a large number of drives 1 TB is a mess, but I do not understand there are some misgivings and other limitations as the Thunderbolt expansion card insertion location.

I would like to add an expansion card Thunderbolt.

It is not now, nor will there EVER be a ThunderBolt expansion card. Only computers who left the factory equipped ThunderBolt (or in the case of some systems of ASUS, compatible ThunderBolt) can use ThunderBolt.

Intel controls custom chips, that you would need, and they don't want a ThunderBolt expansion card. Detective Conan.

  • Vs CPU Ram graphic card upgrade for Mac pro performance?

Just after the crossroads to aboard the cloud to Adobe and seeks help on CPU Ram vs graphics card GPU.

    Material:

    • MAC Pro (early 2009) 4.1 2.26 Ghzdual core 8, 23 grams (5 x 4 g sticks and sticks of 3 x 1 G), 4 x 1 TB 7200 RPM int. HD (1 scratch drive), (no windows don't things here)
    • Graphics card Ge Force GT120 Machine has 64-bit capability, but normally starts in 32- bit due to old still used 32-bit apps.
    • Watch CS6 AE activity monitor uses all 16 son, works in 64 bitsand seizes about 10 Gig of ram to operate in.

    Software:

    • Running OS x 10.6.8. (Snow leopard) with all updates.
    • All major video applications: creative cloud (also have studio FCP 3 installed but just move to Adobe now on video works)

I really like this AE & body use all threads, made in the background (which results in NO crashes (so far)) because my old 120 GT video card apparently is more stifling that it worked in FX in FCP 7 & 4 Motion.

    1. Q - can someone point me in the direction of how Adobe got the device to use all the cores and threads and run it in 64-bit, but starts in 32 bit?

In terms of performance, (rendered in particular) I know I should go to the Apple/ATI 5870 graphics card, but as a veterinarian of fixed-income securities disabled, $450 is hard to find. I evaluated cards flashes, including those of macvidcards on ebay, but for used cards which are flashed, it gives me pause, especially when they are about the same price as the new price of 5870.

So I am struggling with trying to figure out that the best shot for the less $$$, where the issue of the title.

    1. Is it more effective for video FX works to add CPU ram or (gulp) to upgrade the video card to 5870 card?

Example: I can add sticks of 3 x 4 G in place and place existing 3 x 1 G sticks of ram for less than $200 CPU. A new 5870 card is $ 450 Apple. Approach that annoys me that most make speed plant put VFX work in AE CS6 or P Pro CS6?

Sorry, I'm more than a little fuzzy on this, but hoping a kind soul will lead the way.

For After Effects, more RAM is better. For Premiere Pro, an improved GPU is more important. In addition, you might consider spending money even on an SSD, which is beneficial for both (for caches).

See this page for more information on material for Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects: http://adobe.ly/pRYOuk
