• Help with Time Machine

  Although I've owned a mac for years, I started using Time Machine a few months ago only.

  For two weeks, I said that my backup disk was full. Today, I got the message that the backup failed and that yesterday was the most recent upward. a double click on the backup disk, I see the records dating back to November. However, when I get Time machine, I can only highlight yesterday.

  So, a few questions.

  1. the November record is really an existing back-up? Why do I see there, but not in Time Machine?

  2. I have several external hard drives that I use for Time Machine and I am interested in finding someone to help me with the best solution to achieve my goal. That is, to remove the 300 GB of photos I have on my internal hard drive to an external hard drive, while still supporting upward from my internal hard drive and a multimedia hard drive for Time Machine.

  I hope I can say this is not confusing.

  I have an internal 500 GB running 10.11.1 HD because I have pictures of some 300 GB internal hard disk, I only 6.66 GB of available space.

  I have 3 external drives available that I can use for the back upward. 1 TB, I got for Christmas and is not used for anything and 2 500 GB HDs... one of them is currently used for Time Machine. The other has a backup is no longer necessary, so I can be erased.

  In addition to using Time Machine to back up, I also pay a monthly fee for Crash Plan. Even though this was my home folder files, it does not back up the operating system. I can, however, point it to back up an external hard drive.

  Finally, these are my questions. To free up space on my internal hard drive, can I (should) move the photos off my internal HD (I don't use iphoto) and put them on an external HD and then have my internal HD and HD with photos backed up with TM? Would it not be better to transfer my photos on a 500 GB HD and then use the 1 TB (without this partitioning) to back up both the internal and external HDs?

  What I do with my Mac sounds a bit like what you ask to do with yours. I have:

  -Photos and movies on an external drive (500 GB on a 2 TB disk)

  -The rest of my data on the drive internal (approximately 300 GB on a 1 TB drive

  -The internal and external are saved on a third drive (3 TB) used for Time Machine.

  Everything works very well.

  pageContext.getApplicationModule (webBean) return type AM OAApplicationModule.

  It would be nice if your am variable is of type OAApplicationModule:
  OAApplicationModule m = pageContext.getApplicationModule (webBean) / / would be nice.

  But as you use type PPRAMImpl, you need to type-casting that externally by using:
  Am = (PPRAMImpl) pageContext.getApplicationModule (webBean) PPRAMImpl;

  If you are not yet clear, then consult any book of java or google for internal & external type in java cast.

• Help! Time Machine has deleted my external hard drive iPhotos to make room for backups. I lost my birth iPhotos and the first 2 years of my baby!

  I'm next to me, I hope that there is a way to get back them.

  I was told my someone from tech apple to my iPhotos on an external hard disk to make more space on my MacBook Air, which seemed to work fine. We also have this same external hard drive my Time Machine.

  I noticed a small box from time to time come and say something like, Time Machine is running out of space to record new data, you want to delete things until March 2013 etc. He asked me a few times and I said yes, all the way until June 2014. Now just disappeared in my iPhotos to find some pictures of my daughter when she was a baby (in 2012) and there is nothing there before 2014. I'm completely panic, is there something I can do?

  I hope someone can help me to decrypt this code. I'm a web designer, but I'm working with HTML, PHP, JavaScript, ActionScript not so much. I have a new customer, and they already had a website designed entirely in Flash. Now, they want only some parts of it and the rest in HTML. The problem is that I don't know much about ActionScript and I'm having a hard time finding ways to do what I want.

  Maybe I'm just not understand how function of session variables and
  I hope that someone here can help me to do so.
  
  I am trying to establish an auto-dialing for a client process report
  so when a person displays an online report, a number of declaration is
  generated and stored in a variable session and when information
  is submitted, download number of report and the additional information provided
  a database. Everything seems to work as expected, except for this.
  
  I use an application.cfm file to define the session management and to create a
  Report number and set this number to a session variable.
  
  When the person opens the report form page, there is a teaching section
  for their study, followed by a 'Proceed' button to go to the next section of the
  page.
  
  When they click on the "Continue" button, is when the number of report which is held in a
  session variable (application.cfm) should insert in a hidden for later form field
  upload, which seems to happen.
  
  Now for the part that I don't understand. I thought that both a session
  had not expired, the session variable would remain in use and so if
  the report page has been updated (reloaded) of the same session would be variable
  be used.
  
  What I feel, is that whenever the report page is to be regenerated,
  a new report number is loaded in the session variable. I'm not
  understand how to work the session variables? Am I missing some criticism
  piece of coding or point here?

  But if you want to stick with the application.cfm approach, there is a difference in what you say you do and what your code is showing. You say "I checked to see if the session variable has been set and he has been.", but I don't see any if/else logic in the part of your application.cfm code where you set the variable. Remember, the code runs on each page, including request refreshes.

• Need help understanding create new network / different subnets for 2nd VM NIC

  I am newer to Vmware and not quite sure that the best way to accomplish the task.  I have a couple of hosts of ESX 4.0 update 1, each host has several physical network connected to the LAN interface cards and iSCSI, vCenter with about 10 mV and each VM has only a single virtual NETWORK adapter for LAN.

  I need to install a new virtual machine with a special application that must be double virtual NICed.  1 NETWORK card must be on the private LAN (e.g. 192.168.10.x) and NIC2 must have a public IP (e.g. 4.2.2.x).  I was going to give NIC2 a private address and NAT through our Cisco PIX firewall, but I am told that causes problems with the application and it must have a public IP address on NIC2.  I now host a card physical NETWORK connected to public physical switch outside the firewall (so I can give him a pub addess).

  I have a physical NETWORK card I booked for this on the Vmware host.  How can I create virtual switch separate from the local LAN, associated with the physical NIC to the virtual switch, assign a range of IP addresses that are associated to the public IP address works (if that's what I do)?  From there on, I think that we would give the real public IP to vNIC2 during the installation of the OS.

  Welcome to the forums.

  You can add an additional vSwitch and assign the 2nd physical NIC as the uplink. All the networks is done through the vSphere client configuration tab. In the virtual machine settings just add an extra vNIC and connetct for the new vSwitch.

• New to Ae, need help with time remapping (tutorial anywhere?)

  I am very very big thing back to Ae (CS4) and I was with Premiere Pro CS4 to edit a video, but I need to speed up, but as many of you may know, when you use time remapping in Pr, the sound isn't sync.  However when you do it in Ae, it does.  Then...

  What I'm trying to do is to let the clip I am going for a bit of editing time, then gradually increase the speed to 250% of the original over six seconds, stay 250% for some time, and then gradually in the course of about six seconds to 100% of the original speed.

  I'm kind of having trouble finding how to use Ae well.  There are a lot of easy to understand tutorials out there for Pr, but I can't really find any good for Ae.

  You use the time remapping effect. In fact, when you enable TR, you will notice that the duration of the layer is not limited to the original boundaries more. You can extend beyond the layer's original point.

  So, what you want to do is to keep the TR keyframe at the point layer zero to a value of zero. Set a keyframe second point 06:00 of the layer, with a value of about 14:00 (if possible, because maybe the original clip has no more of any material). You did it like that because if you show 14 seconds of video in a six-second segment, the playback speed is about 250 percent speed. You can do better than 'roughly', but this would require using the speed graph...

  For the real variable speed to set the first keyframe (that at 0:00) to perform a "easy ease on", so the speed ramps up gradually (what means "mitigation" for any property). Setting speed to 100% can be reached at justwith degree sense, but to familiarize themselves with the speed graph will make much more accurate. I say common sense, because if you have a keyframe of a code value of time from 14:00 to 06:00, then a possible way to get back to 100% is to show four seconds of material in the four seconds left (in condition, once again, that your source material has something to 18:00). As you can see, TR needs abundant "handles" (IE, additional documents in the source layer) to work at its 'best.

• I need help big time... (I messed up my permissions)

  So I have an external USB drive that I have right click on last night and I wanted to remove the other users on my computer to be able to modify, move, delete, etc... all the files on this disc. So I removed the permissions under the security for everyone but me tab (the admin on the system) it goes through about 400 GB of value of the info about it, completely blocked me even has access to it.

  I called Seagate, paid for a remote session with technical support, and they were left speechless. They said to call Microsoft (for $50) and see if they can help me get in the registry though back to a system restore point did not work (it didn't).

  My G: only says 'Access denied' on it. The tech guy came in my cmd prompt and tried to access the drive and he said I had to grant privillage under mode 'high', whatever that means...

  If anyone out there can help me, I would be SO grateful... tons and tons of files that I can't replace (I'm a sound engineer and have tracks concerts, programs, etc.) are on this drive and I simply can't access it because I f * ked to the top of the security on this subject.

  Have you tried to take ownership of the drive?

  A. check the permissions of the file or folder the file is saved in and appropriated:
        
  1. right click on the file or folder and then click Properties.
  2. click on the Security tab.
  3. under group or user names, click your name to see the permissions you have.

• WLC2106 - need help understanding wired ports

  At this point, I am really confused about how the WLC traffic bridges.

  When I have my WLC 1 port connected to my wired LAN and the WLC 8 port connected to a 1121, the web interface can see the AP, but endpoint on my local network cannot ping the 1121.  Why is this?  If I connect directly the 1121 to my switch, I can ping without any problem.

  In addition, it seems to affect my wireless LANs to a VLAN different, I need to create a virtual interface for each VLAN on the WLC.  This seems to be a waste of IP addresses, because I want only the WLC for bridge traffic to VLANs and do not have any kind of proxy or routing.  Is it possible to assign a WLAN to a VLAN without creating a virtual interface to this VLAN?

  Plug the WLC to a switch and the switch access points.

  Note that this bug is due design as WLC 2106 is not full switched ports
