I need instructions to connect my laptop to my TV using a HMDI cable.
HP G60 laptop.
Windows Vista 32-bit
I cannot connect my laptop to my TV using an HDMI cable. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Moreover, the instructions above, I had to go to the settings/display of the control panel to add my
TV as a second monitor.
Thank you

VIsta - Local access only
HI -.
I recently moved. I use the same router from my old apartment and I had no problem connection in the past. Since I moved I have a new Time Warner modem (Cisco) and the modem works fine. The router also works very well I'm able to connect with my iPhone and IPad without any problem.
But when I try to connect with my wireless laptop, it will only connect to Local access. If I connect the laptop to the router with the ethernet cable, it works very well.
It's a Dell Studio 15 with Vista.
The computer is able to connect to wifi to other places without any problem, but for some reason that I can't connect home. I tried to reset the modem and the router several times, but that did not help. I tried the option repair & diagnose several times but it doesn't work.
I tried to look for other solutions online and tried to disable IPv6, and while it helped some and I was able to connect wireless, the computer ran so slowly that it didn't seem like a good solution.
This has been very frustrating. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion.
StaciHello Staciusa,
Have you tried to change the wireless channel that your router is running at? There may be interference that could prevent the internet connection:
Take a look at step 6 in this article that give more details about it:
http://www.Microsoft.com/athome/Setup/wirelesstips.aspx
If you need assistance to change the settings of the specific router, you will need to contact your router manufacturer or your internet service provider.

can I connect my hp cp1518ni network without using a ethernet cable?
Can I connect wireless, or I have to use an ethernet cable?
Hello
Based on this, your printer is not ready to network, it uses the USB port so adding component (wired or wireless) network may cost more to buy a new printer. A cheaper option is to purchase a wireless as one of theseprint server.
Kind regards.

When I connect my laptop to my TV via a HDMI cable, it's too dark.
I recently got a new LG HDTV and when I connect my laptop, it looks way too dark on my TV, but it looks good on my laptop screen. I know it's a problem with my laptop because when I watch movies on my Playstation 3, they look very good. I compared the same movies to my PS3 and my laptop, and they look really dark when I look through my laptop.
Is there a way to change the color/contrast/etc, that appears on my TV, but not my phone? Also, I already tried to change the setting of the color on my TV, but it does not solve the problem. It wasn't a problem with my old TV, the color was very good about it. Thank you in advance for your help!
Thank you very much for your help!
It seems that my graphics driver is up to date. When I tried to run the Setup program, this pop up: http://i.imgur.com/iWQyvNq.jpg
EDIT: I managed to find a newer version on getdriver.com, and this most recent graphics driver allows me to do what I need solve the problem. I was able to change my color on my screen without changing the color on my laptop.
Thank you very much for your help. The problem was solved!

Help! I cannot connect my laptop to my tv via a vga cable.
I have a VGA cable that I used for a while now, to connect my laptop to a TV for use as a moniter... I never had no problem that until recently. Now, the screen appears on the TV screen only when the laptop is starting up, but as soon as the program windows load and gets the TV turns off screen to the password screen. However when I start the computer by using 'safe mode' I have no problem at all either... and to make things worse and more complicated the screen for my laptop is broken so I can't use it all. Please help me with any suggestions as to what I might be able to make :(

I don't have a specific answer to your question, but I have recently
had a similar problem with a connection "svideo to RCA cable.
and the solution was to change the computer of
resolution of the screen to a lower number. Also... I had to open
nVidia control panel and select Clone. John Inzer - MS - MVP - Digital Media Experience - Notice_This is not tech support_I'm volunteer - Solutions that work for me may not work for you - * proceed at your own risk *. -
HP 2335 monitor - need adapter to connect to laptop Lenovo ThinkPad
I have a Lenovo ThinkPad notebook (Ultrabook) I want to connect my external HP 2335 monitor. I need a cable adapter, but do not know which is the appropriate adapter. I see on my screen I have a female port 15 pins. Can I get an adapter with a male plug into the monitor connector and a USB port connect to connect to the laptop? Can I get an adapter for the original cable supplied with the monitor (I think it's DVI?), which has a USB connector?
If anyone knows how to do this please provide guidance as well as technical specifications (description, brand, model number, etc.)
Thank you
I'm sorry, but to get your question more exposure I suggest posting in the trade forums since it is a commercial product. You can do so at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/ .

I'm trying to connect my laptop to my TV via a HDMI cable. (Windows vista, intel PC and Sony Bravia HDTV)
The link seems to work because my desktop wallpaper appears on the TV screen, but nothing else.
What should I do to get the full content screen displayed on the TV screen.
Thank you
PeterJ
It is shown as an additional screen. If you take something and drag it to the right side of your laptop screen, it will start to appear on the left side of the TV (it get on TV).
If you prefer it double, rather than extend, you can hold down the keys on your keyboard as you type P for the desired projection option.
