  When the installation is complete, restart the laptop.

  Let windows fully recharge, open windows control panel, then open the Device Manager.

  Look for all the entries that are listed as "Unknown device" or have a warning (yellow) against them triangle.  For each of them, follow these steps.

  If you burn to a DVD disc in first items 10 and later versions, some choices are

  a. DVD-VIDEO standard screen or 4:3 16:9 on DVD disc

  I have reinstalled windows 7 pro on my Portege M780 and I need Toshiba pre installed Apps
  It was 7 Pro 32 bit and clean, I installed 7 Pro 64-bit Iv caught everything that is available in the download section for 7 64-bit, but not all is here.

  I used to have the cam, control rotation of the screen, DVD app and more I'm not even sure what to do as I have only had the day before installing windows :(
  If someone could help that would be great thank you

  PS I can't scanner finger to work anyway, once I installed it and set up com would not start after the login screen but did in safe mode then I disabled in Device Manager. Ideas Anyony Cheers

  I tried the pre installed applications recovery unsuccessfully :(

  Original recovery image that you got with your laptop contains the operating system, all necessary drivers, tools specific to Toshiba and utility and sure some additional software such as a DVD player, an antivirus, Office of test application.

  When you have installed OS on Toshiba download page you will find drivers, tools and utilities only. These additional requests will not be available. That you can have if you install original recovery image.

  Very important information of the end: Toshiba offer all that for operating systems supported only so if you can't find it on the download page, I can just say unlucky.
  In this case, you should try to find the right proposed drivers for other models, but with the same hardware components and it is quite complicated.

  I know it sounds strange but your unit is pre-installed without intelligence tool. This is the reason why you can not find on the Toshiba download page. Please don t try to install this tool, designed for another unit, because you may have some trouble and many error messages. As far as I know all the tools must be adapted for each laptop model.

  On some devices, this tool only works if other components are installed. I guess L20's budget unit and for this reason, it isn't stuff as on other units.

  You may need to install the Toshiba value added Package for Windows 7 64 bit.
  Value added package has been released for the Windows 7 system and this software is not in the laptop model...

  So you can pick up this package, which has been published for different series of L50 - A, but also the other laptop models.

  I have owned one of these great little cameras Sony miniDV since 2003 - in fact I love it so much, I bought a 'reserve' on ebay a few months ago.

  The problem is when my laptop crashed, I lost the initial load of the original factory driver for the camera software... and I can't find the original anywhere drive. None of my web searches have found links to reload the driver.

  Even more amazing, I started using Sony Vegas Movie Studio clean - but it plain refuses to import video from his OWN camera - saying that it does not recognize the device.

  Hello. For your computer to recognize the device, if it was recognized before, would mean that either your use of Windows XP or an older operating system. Unfortunately, USB streaming is not supported by Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Mac. But using a different connection: IEEE1394 (i.link or firewire) connection it should work with these operating systems. Going up that probably you just need to install the driver for the camera, you should be able to get it here:

  Select your operating system from the menu drop down and download and install the device driver (Driver USB for Connection). Make sure that the camcorder is not connected to your computer while installing the driver. Follow the instructions below the USB driver for the login page properly install the driver. Restart the computer and connect the camcorder. Complete the installation of new hardware found. Also make sure that your camcorder USB Stream function is set on IT. Use the application pre-installed Windows Movie Maker or compatible video capture software to capture video to off the Strip. I hope this helps.
