  My laptop battery life is horrible. Ive done some research and it seems that everyone with the same laptop as I is to have the same exact type of the problem. I had the laptop in autumn 2010. I'm looking for on the site hpshopping.ca and im not finding any other spare parts for this laptop. I'm young and I don't have a job yet, so I'm not able to buy a new laptop.   Apple batteries will be sold if Apple installs, NOT the user.  If you have a MBP, this is probably the best option because the batteries are pasted into the retina.  If you have a retina no MBP, look at the OWC site for NuPower batteries or search the Internet for brand batteries Anker.  Anything else can be 'high risk' in terms of quality.

  But you can use any standard A4 + 10key flat half glossy black keyboard.

  You can also contact the authorized provider (call) the Toshiba in your country for the Qosmio (order) set a new keyboard for the X 500.

  Try the suggestion below.

  Cyberlink CD recovery for hard drives. When you created this CD, insert it into the system and do a reboot. Wait until you see a window with a green check mark.  Next, remove the CD and insert your first recovery DVDs.  Reboot the PC and go through the process of installing the operating system again.  If all goes well, it should install properly this time.

  If the above does not work, then check with the manufacturer of hard drive and see if the hard drive is an advanced model of format and what is needed to make it work with VISTA.  The manufacturer may have a utility of alignment is the reader is AF.
