  You need Adobe Acrobat to convert Word to PDF. Once installed, please follow the steps below.

  • Open the Word Document
  • Go to the Acrobat tab
  • Go to Prefrences, and change the setting of Conversion to PDF/X1.a
  • Convert to PDF

  Basically the creation of PDF to WORD process requires WORD must be installed and PDF Maker is active. Without this option, you need to open WORD and print it on the Adobe PDF printer. Open Office is the way to create the PDF as suggested. You can even use convert to PDF in Open Office (or MS WORD with the later converter for OFFICE 2007 and versions).

  That is right. Free Adobe Acrobat Reader is to view, print and comment on pdf files. For other functions, you can use one of the subscription services or purchase the full version of Adobe Acrobat.

  Ah, I see! This isn't a format supported for conversion. But you can 'print' your Word Perfect for PostScript files and then download the PostScript files for conversion to PDF. Please see this document for instructions: PostScript files create | Pack PDF | Windows

  You need a software that can open, view, and edit Word documents.  Vista does not include these software.

  I suggest that you go to www.openoffice.org and download the OpenOffice Suite and install it.  It contains programs that are very similar to those that come with Microsoft Office (including Word or as we call it in OpenOffice, Writer).  This will open Word documents and allow you to work with them.  It has several other programs as well, and many people prefer this on Microsoft Office (although it does not include a program to duplicate Outlook which is a shame).  Best of all, OpenOffice Suite is FREE!  This will immediately the problem free of charge and you can then decide if you want to buy Microsoft Word or Microsoft Office (they offer free trials, so you can check out them without any risk).

  for the history of the project, you can click on the "Import" button and choose the word document, and then choose the movie/TV model as appropriate to import. If your word document has been properly formatted (e.. g, heading stage corresponds to the format INT. SET NAME etc.), Adobe Story would be able to properly analyze the elements and import them without problem.

  I have problems since the change to a Mac and using Word 2011 and Acrobat 9 pro.

  I need to be able to convert a Word document by setting certain requirements of PDF. To save it as PDF is not completely cut, as far as I can tell.
