  Mjconnolly I recommend you to contact our support directly to the Contact Customer Serviceteam.  You are invited to refer to this discussion.  You don't have the latest version of the Creative Cloud Desktop application which should solve a sign repeated by mistake.  I would recommend working directly with our support team to examine the difficulties that you are experiencing more closely.

On the Adobe website, I'm always tied just to the cc in lightroom + photoshop offers associate . Is there an easy way to avoid the monthly subscription?

  I do not have Photoshop cc, my Version of elements is good enough for editing.

Ive double checked the number, but it does contain all the letters according to the Troubleshooting FAQ. It does not say the serial number in my manage page Adobe ID tho. Source of confusion.   It would seem that your serial number should work - but if not, then you must contact Adobe directly on this issue (as we here on these public forums can help with that).

  Is what version of LR?

  And if you get a message, what is it exactly? (try Googling that)

  Acrobat standard is cheaper, or one of the PDF create online services, but you may have better luck in the Acrobat forums.

  I'm nearing the end of my trial of Lightroom CC 2015.1, & I've already decided the stand-alone version would be better for my needs.  I downloaded the presets paid in my trial version & I would like to be able to use them in the standalone version, as well.

  My question is... How can I change?  Should I just buy the standalone version and enter the license number in the version that I already downloaded on my laptop?  Or will I have to download the standalone version from scratch once that I buy it?

  First of all, make sure that you have not registered for a subscription of cloud

So I uninstalled the software and I tried to reinstall the trial version but let me download only adobe update which failed as the trial version has been uninstalled. How can I do.   I finally solved the problem by uninstalling the creative cloud and reinstall photoshop 2014 cc and cc. This time he allowed me to reinstall. I guess that the problem was caused by the always marked cc that photoshop has been installed.

  BTW, my os is Mac OSX 10.7.5

  Be online and disable the function before formatting to release your activation on the Adobe server

  You install exactly in the same way you did the 1st time... Put your disc in the drive, and enter your serial number when asked
