  We are sorry to say that there is just no option not provided read out loud tool that can prevent read URLs and any other specific data.

  You can change a few options provided under Edit menu > Preferences > reading.

  You can't find it because it is not there. Quick tools will usually only allow you to pick up stuff that has a somehwre of button in the user interface. Read out loud does not have such a button.

  Instead of this, as recommended abiove, use keyboard shortcuts already assigned to reading aloud features, such as Ctrl - Y to start reading loud and Ctrl + V to start reding the current page.

  I have 10 computers Windows and I got DC Acrobat from Adobe reader, where I used the read aloud feature much.  He worked for a long time until that one day all of a sudden it stopped working.  I can set the read-aloud, then click on play and it acts as if it will work, but I can't hear anything. I tried everything I know.  I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it, I even installed an older version to see if this is the problem and nothing works.  Y at - it an update that happened to one of the adobe or my computer that would cause the reading loud feature to stop or what could be the problem, please help!

  I corrected I updated the Trust Manager and I have also disabled allow increased security and it started working again.

  I made sure it wasn't a mistake of the user as speakers muted.

  Nevertheless, it works now and I'm happy.

  I know that having ToolTips for form fields in a document PDF is a requirement for accessibility. When I use the view > read this Page in Acrobat Reader format does not read the ToolTips for the fields of the form, even if I turned on read form fields in Preferences > reading. I have a two checkboxes and text on the form fields.

  • What should I do to have the functionality of reading this Page to read the ToolTips for form field?

  All types of fields in a standard (i.e. not XFA) PDF form are accessible if - and only if - properly tag.

• Can windows 8 or IE10 read a Web page out loud?

  My grandson is severely Dyslexic. It must have access to the software that reads a Web page out loud to him. It has been said that this feature is integrated in Windows 8, but I can't find any reference to it. He (and his mother) are not technical, so can not manage, cut and paste text into Notepad to make the Narrator read. The plugin/add needs to operate just like the Text2 speech made in Firefox.

  Hi lisa14, gray globe corresponds to HTTP, because HTTP is not secure. You should see a padlock for HTTPS pages.

  For Amazon, I think that they go back to HTTP on the product pages and only use a secure connection on the account and payment pages.

  If you added via the preferences system/users and groups, it should appear as a long time that you have set the display of connection to appear. To do this, go to System Preferences/security and privacy. Then check the check box turn off automatic connection . This should show the login screen at startup. You may need to click the lock (lower-left) icon to unlock the setting to check it out.
