  I recently got a Toshiba Satellite U920T-101 by a colleague who was leaving my company.

  He had an intermittent problem with the screen, which has now become a permanent error. I received the laptop with what I think is the serial number. There is no label on the laptop with the serial number.

  The screen is not working so I can't read the serial number of the bios.
  Also the HDMI output not working so I can't use an external monitor.

  I was hoping that I could send a Toshiba with what I thought, it was good serial number and ask some advice, but this is proving to be quite difficult. There is even a wizard to send an e-mail, which rejects the serial number I have.

  I want to send because I live in Germany and need to talk to German customers and my German is not good enough to talk to people on the phone.
