  1. It is not a Photoshop PDF.

The fact that it opens without problem in the player and Photoshop is meaningless, to essentally (or at least, it is not an inidication that should also be open without problem in Illustrator, which is what seems to imply your original message). Player displays the correct fonts as subsets of them are embedded in the PDF file for use by the reader. Photohop just rasterized the entire page, so there is no data required police.
  4. If you had the font, you would get the substitution in Illustrator. It works that way for any PDF.

  Probably because it is not a complete URL starting with http://. Acrobat has a preference that will links of what ever he meets who looks like a link, but to make it work, it must be a complete URL.

  We bought a new PC for one of our employees that is running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. We have several printers throughout our office area. There are three printers that this person will print to the two Ricoh printstations and a Brother Laser printer. Any printer that employee uses printers still print the first page, a focus on the next page and all other pages in the other direction. The first page is always printed in the opposite direction of whatever orientation has been selected.

  If it has a four page document and select landscape as the orientation, the first page prints in portrait orientation while the other three pages will be printed in landscape. She can go back and print the document again and all four pages will be printed in the right direction. This happens no matter which printer she uses, as well as any program (Word 2010, Excel, Adobe, web pages, etc...). Any suggestions?

  2. Grab the text tool, create a text box and place the cursor inside.
  3. Observe the result in the paragraph Styles palette: standard paragraph shows a + next to him (which indicates there is a substitution on the style)

  Standard paragraph both other text controls are accessible through any opening of files. Looks like you want to keep the current definition of the style.  With no open docs, I suspect that you already see the sign, so just Alt-click with no file open and it should reset all settings of text to match the current definition of style and which will become the default for new documents.
