I screwed up and twice on my computer installed Windows 7. Help!

I tried to do an install clean Windows 7 Pro and done something wrong. Now I have two installs Windows 7 on the same computer, causing a split screen and very slow machine. It has a partition that shows which shows the 200 GB and 100 GB. Then I just start the installation and do not have a partition? I fear that, because I just bought this operating system and the version of OEMs it is not repairable and I'll be MORE money. The machine is a Dell Latitude D630 and began like Xp and had 7 on this, but I wanted to it's own since it was second hand. If I completely skipped it, please help! Thank you

I have a Toshiba with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 - bit (Home Premium update) and I want to re - install Windows but in 64-bit. Will I still have Ultimate?

I'm going to re - install from 32 to 64-bit via the loader of windows recovery.
This computer has asked ma to install 32 or 64 bit when I first turned on, I chose 32, but now I want to 64.

It depends on. Is the license of Windows 7 Ultimate, a full version license or upgrade, or upgrade Express?

If its an Express upgrade license, you will need to reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, then make the Express Windows 7 upgrade Ultimate edition using the Express upgrade key, you have.

If you have a Windows 7 Ultimate full retail or upgrade version license, you can simply by using the 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate disc and do a custom Setup on the current installation of 32-bit.

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

    http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/07/using-Windows-easy-transfer-in-Windows-7/

Boot from the DVD 64 bit Windows 7
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

    Hello

    ·         What is the exact error that you are experiencing when you try to install Windows XP on the system?

    ·         You have the full version of the Windows XP operating system or upgrade disk?

    ·         Are doing a clean installation of Windows XP or install an upgrade?

Make sure that the XP CD is not damaged. If you have the upgrade disc you can not make a format installation. You can only switch to the older operating system to windows XP. I suggest you follow the steps mentioned in the article given below to install Windows XP on the system.

  • Try to reinstall windows 8 after fees and crash of pc to install Windows 7

At the time I was running windows 10 technical preview and I was having problems with my computer to the point that he eventually left and constantly projected blue. I ended up having to re - install windows 7 which was the only drive I have Windows. I already had 8 windows before I had installed the technical preview. I used the wizard upgrade upgrade windows windows 7 to windows 8 when windows 8 are out. Now, I want to be able to return to running windows 8 because some games will not start because of windows 10. I have in the world have looked for a solution but can not find a. I don't know of any way to prove that I bought windows 8 to get my product key.

You must log on to the same site that you downloaded it since before, your order history will prove that you have Windows 8 and you can retrieve your key.

  • Satellite P100 - 194 PSPA6E does not start and will not let me install Windows

    Hello

I have a problem with my Satellite phone, witch, I got from my brother. I don't know what he did with it, but he does not know.

When I start the PXE - E61 "Media test failure, check cable" appears. In the BIOS I put in the directory Boot LAN mode on the last position, but despite this failure E61 appears.

I tried to reinstall Windows XP. The laptop started from the CD and the blue screen appeared and loaded XP drivers needed. But at the end of it, when you enter normally on the menu to choose where to install windows, the screen is black and in the upper left corner a small beam blinked on and outside and nothing happens plus.
The same thing happens when I leave the laptop HARD drive and start again from the XP installation CD but this time without the HARD disc logically.
So I thought that the HARD drive is broken and I put it in my desktop PC to test. I installed XP on the drive HARD Satellite in my PC, which worked without problems in my PC. So, I come to the conclusion that the HARD drive is not broken.
And my BIOS Satellite detects my HARD drive and displays the name of it.

But what is the problem with the laptop when it is not the HARD drive and BIOS show the good name of the HARD drive? Can someone help me please?

    Hello

The story is very strange boyfriend generally that the PXE error if the laptop tries to boot from LAN. But in the case where starting LAN source in unavailable, the PXE error appears and shows this message.

Usually, the BIOS passes LAN Boot option because the other options are not active. This means that the CD/DVD drive does not any bootable disk and the HARD disk is dead.

So, as you can see you hypothesis was right that the HARD drive could be faulty

In any case, try to access the BIOS and set it to the default settings save changes and then try to reinstall Windows XP.
You might also try another HARD drive, I know as your fist HDD recognized correctly but it s worth a try to test the 2nd HARD drive.

  • The disk partitioning and choosing the SSD to install Windows

    Hi all

I'm new to the forum and I hope to get some help with my problem.
Today, I received my new IdeaPad U510 and I love it. But I realize that the operating system is installed on the SATA hard drive instead of being installed on the SSD (for best performance).
I would like someone to help me by telling me: How can I install Windows (with the license that was supposed to come with the purchase of the laptop) on the SSD?
Given that I tried 'set' the OneKey restore but as far as I see, is not allowed.

Thank you very much for your support.

First of all, it is better to be * beep * sure you know what you're doing.
Second, make a bootable Windows USB installation paste and test if it works, just to be sure. Back up your data. Go to the BIOS, disable the TSRI, then set it to SATA AHCI (from RAID or AUTO) mode. Save and reboot. Now you start the installer, repartition your SSD drive (I would recommend going for the TPG plan, it is the only way to boot with UEFI, which has some advantages, that is to say more fast start) and install Windows.
After that, disable hibernation, windows etc backups so that the free space of your SSD gets to zero after a week of use.
Keep in mind that this will break your OKR feature, which is not useful anyway if you're a power user.
